Carbis Bay Holidays :: Calendar Competition Rules
By submitting a photograph to Carbis Bay Holidays, the photographer implicitly agrees to abide by the Competition Rules below:
Age Restriction: Any persons entering this competition must be 18 years of age or older.
Prizes: A Cornish Hamper for each of the 12 photographs used for the published 2012 calendar ( maximum of one prize per photgrapher ), Carbis Bay Holidays reserves the right to offer alternative prizes, should unforeseen circumstances necessitate. Carbis Bay Holidays is not responsible for the prizes sent by its suppliers. On confirmation of a delivery address, winners should allow 28 days for receipt of their prize. Prizes are limited to one prize per photographer.
Judging: Judging will take place on December 2nd 2011. Winning photographers will be notified by email and the selected winning photographs will be announced at this time. The judgement of the judges will be final when awarding prizes. By accepting a prize, the photographer grants permission to publish his or her name, but only in connection with the competition and the CD Desk Calendar produced.
Copyright: By entering photographs into the competition, the photographer vows that he or she is the sole owner of the copyright of said photographs and possesses the relevant format required; the photographer indemnifies Carbis Bay Holidays from all claims arising from the publication of said photographs. It is the legal responsibility of the photographer, not Carbis Bay Holidays, to ensure that his or her photographs comply with copyright and other laws. Copyright remains with the photographer at all times. By entering photographs into the competition, the photographer grants worldwide rights to reproduce and exhibit his or her entered photographs, in all media, without compensation, not only in connection with the competition and the production of Carbis Bay Holidays CD Desk Calendars.
Deadline: Entries must be received by 30th November 2011. There is no entry fee for this competition.
Photographers: Our property Owners and Guests of Carbis Bay Holidays from anywhere in the world, are eligible to enter the competition. To enter the competition please agree to these rules and email your photographs with your full name and address to competition@carbisbayholidays.co.uk with "Competition" in the Subject.
Photographs: Each property Owner and Guest is limited to submitting four digital photographs for consideration. Photographs submitted should be Landscape and should be sent as jpeg files, no more than 2MB in size and should be a minimum size of 1300 x 950 pixels or 108mm x 80mm. Both colour and black-and-white photographs are eligible. The photograph must not show any person whatsoever who is recognisable in the photograph. Manipulated photographs are also eligible, but manipulation is limited to brightness, colour, contrast, and perspective corrections, cropping, and removal of blemishes (dust, chemical stains, and dead pixels).
Captions: Captions are optional. A photograph will still be judged if it does not have a caption, but judges will be able to read the caption when judging a photograph, and a caption could clarify to them its relevance or significance.
