Golowan Festival is a vibrant event held in Penzance each June, with 2012's festival set to be another fun packed 10 days. The main event of the festival is Mazey Day, held on Saturday 23rd June 2012, when the whole of Market Jew Street is closed off to allow the colourful processions to wind their way through Penzance. There are lots of stalls selling wonderful Cornish products along with bands, street entertainment and fairground. Mazey Day really is Nottinghill Carnival meets Cornwall, a great day out for all the family.
