New Year in St Ives - one of the UKs most popular places to see in the New Year
The New Year's Eve celebrations at St. Ives have a national reputation for being one of the places to see in the New Year. Fancy dress is not compulsory but most people make an effort and perhaps you may look out of place without fancy dress. The streets of St. Ives are closed for traffic at the bottom of Tregenna Hill so there is no vehicle access to the harbour front. The harbour itself is heaving with people and if the tide is out, everyone overspills onto the beach. When the bells ring, the fireworks commence, providing a dramatic display over the beaches and town of St. Ives.
A stay of a minimum of five nights is available with flexible arrival and departure dates. We regret that for the 2010 festive season requests for arrivals and departures on the following dates will not be accepted: 25/12/10, 26/12/10 and 01/01/11.

Book your restaurant early if you wish to dine out New Years Eve. Gallinas Point Apartments are conveniently positioned at the top of the town, just a short walk to all the action. Carbis Bay is about 20-30 mins walk or a longer stagger home.
