Carbis Bay Holidays :: Cancellation Cover
Many of our guests' have concerns regarding their cancellation cover, particularly due to present economic climate.
Carbis Bay Holidays has been trading since 1989, we have contractual relationships with our owners and maintain a secure "client account" for all rentals received from guests on their behalf.
An owner is contractually obligated to let their property with Carbis Bay Holidays for the period stated on the website, as shown in the Availability page of the property.
Guests may be reassured that payment of their holiday by credit card provides insurance cover.
Carbis Bay Holidays will provide details of a guest reservation to substantiate any claim by a guest who cancels their holiday due to unforseen circumstances.
Changes were made to the regulation of cancellation insurance by the FSA on 1st January 2009. Carbis Bay Holidays is not regulated by the Financial Services Authority. We do not include cancellation insurance within the listed sale price of our holidays.
We do however operate the following conditions which should provide you with piece of mind:
Cancellation: A booking can only be cancelled prior to the start of the Holiday. A Guest who wishes to cancel the Holiday must notify The Agent in writing within seven days of them becoming aware that they cannot take up the Holiday, ("Cancellation Notice"). If a Cancellation Notice is received six weeks or more before the Holiday is due to start, the balance will be cancelled. If cancellation is made less than six weeks before the start of the holiday, the balance is payable in full. There is an administration change of £50 for cancellations. In the event of a cancellation, The Agent will use their best endeavours to secure another booking in the same property for the same week. If this is achieved, all monies paid for this replacement booking, less the £50.00 administration charge, will be refunded. If due to any occurrence beyond the control of the owner or his agent, the accommodation is unavailable as booked eg. fire, flood etc, all monies paid to us will be refunded in full but there will be no further liability towards the hirer.
