Laity Granary, Laity Lane, Carbis Bay

Lounge Area

The sitting room of Laity Granary is a most impressive area with vaulted ceiling and feature picture window overlooking the garden.

The main lounge is also an exquisite room with vaulted ceilings, exposed floor boards and trusses, and the remainder of the old mill workings.  For those colder evenings, you can warm yourselves up next to the contemporary fireplace which has a granite mantel and is flanked by granite display shelves.  Well equipped with complimentary wireless internet, DVD player with selection of DVDs, LCD television with full Sky package, Xbox with games, Sony CD player with Ipod docking station and a selection of board games, library of books, O.S. Maps and information on the local area.

Dining Area

From the landing area French doors lead you into the dining room.  A beautiful spacious room with exposed beams, giving you the opportunity to sit around the large dining table as one big family.  Another set of French doors lead you into the kitchen/breakfast room.

The kitchen of Laity Granary is located on the first floor which leads into the dining room.  The kitchen is simply fantastic with exposed beams, two windows looking to the front and a double glazed stable door to the rear with granite steps leading down.  The kitchen area is fitted with custom made units and has a wonderful Smeg Range cooker.  It also has a dishwasher, American fridge-freezer, microwave, and every conceivable piece of equipment you will need during your stay.  A handy airing cupboard can also be found in here, perfect for drying off any wet weather gear.

Laity Lane is convenient for shops which are a five minute walk away, the rail station and Carbis Bay beach.

An impressive entrance to the house, opens into a ceramic tiled hallway with utility cupboard where the washing machine and tumble dryer can be found.  Further storage can also be found under the stairs.  An inner hallway with oak flooring houses another useful airing cupboard and also leads onto the bedrooms.

Bedroom One

The master bedroom has bedside cabinets, large chest of drawers, wardrobe, full length free standing mirror and an LCD TV/DVD player with Freeview and integrated iPod dock can be watched from the comfort of a king size bed.  This spacious bedroom has oak flooring and has plenty of room for a travel cot.  This bedroom benefits from a most attractively fitted en-suite shower room, with a large walk-in shower cubicle with sliding screen, fitted with a fixed head shower and separate shower attachment, WC, vanity unit with inset bowl basin, heated towel rail and complimentary White Company toiletries.  A bath sheet, bath towel, and hand towel are provided for each guest.

Bedroom Two

The second bedroom is fitted with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, set of drawers and a large mirror complete. There is an LCD TV/DVD player with Freeview.

Bedroom Three

The third bedroom is fitted with twin beds, wardrobe, bedside cabinets and a set of drawers.

Bedroom Four

The fourth bedroom is fitted with twin beds, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, set of drawers and a large mirror. There is an LCD TV/DVD player with Freeview and integrated iPod dock.

Family Bathroom

The main family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a bath with overhead shower, vanity unit with wash hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and tiled floor and tiled walls.  Complimentary White Company toiletries are supplied and a bath sheet, bath towel, and hand towel are provided for each guest.

En-Suite Shower Room

The en-suite shower room to the master bedroom has a large walk-in shower cubicle with sliding screen, fitted with a fixed head shower and separate shower attachment, vanity unit with inset bowl basin, WC and mirror.

On the first floor there is a cloakroom with WC, wash basin and mirror.

Laity Granary forms part of an attractive small courtyard of former farm buildings situated just on the outskirts of Carbis Bay.

Garden

The gardens are mainly to the front of the property and are level being laid to lawn and bordered by a profusion of mature shrubs and bushes and are enclosed by stone hedging.  There is a lovely patio area, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening.

Parking

There is a gravelled driveway providing ample parking for up to three cars.

Laity Granary is situated within a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the golden sands of Carbis Bay.  The scenic rail link to St Ives is located just above the beach, taking you into St. Ives in less than five minutes and providing an alternative travel option from mainline stations.

May 2013 : All external works are now complete.  Gardens are being landscaped and internal works are taking place.

April 2013 : The ground works are now complete with majority of building works are coming to a close. The development is on schedule for completion before the summer.

September 2012 : With no prior warning foundation and earth works had commenced on the plot of land opposite the property boundary wall. Although Carbis Bay Holidays were aware of a planning application being approved in October 2009 for a residential building project we were not informed when the works would be commencing.  We have been in contact with the site manager to ensure the work force adhere to the council set building regulation times to minimise the impact on your holiday however, there may be some noise disruption from lorries to and from the site along with some building noise.

• Parking for three cars on the gravelled driveway.
• 15 - 20 minute walk to Carbis Bay beach.
• 15 minute walk to the scenic rail line for access to St. Ives and surrounding area.

Carbis Bay

The coastal railway links St Ives to Penzance and is perhaps one of the most scenic rail journeys in the UK.  The rail journey from Carbis Bay to St Ives takes about 4 minutes. It also connects to St Erth and Penzance to mainline UK stations including Paddington, London.
