Hallway

When you have arrived at Shearwater you are welcomed into a spacious hallway which is fully carpeted with a staircase which leads up to the third bedroom. A Velux window is situated over the staircase and allows natural light to flood in.  An oak consol table offers a useful bowl to place the property keys, there is also an area for hanging coats as well as a useful storage cupboard under the stairs.

Lounge Area

The beautifully furnished living area is located off the main hallway next to the kitchen.  This bright and airy room offers fabulous views across the bay to Porthminster Point and The Island in St Ives, as well as having a leafy aspect of Carbis Valley.  The views can be taken in via the picture window and patio door which leads out onto the balcony.

Neutrally decorated with a calming turquoise accent colour within the furnishings, this stunning room offers two very comfortable chocolate leather settees, both seating three, a set of three solid oak occasional tables and TV cabinet where the Panasonic stereo system with CD and iPod docking station, pebble table lamp, Bluray DVD’s, selection of books and local guides can be found.  This apartment also provides an excellent entertainments package, including a 40” Panasonic LCD television with full Sky HD package, Bluray DVD player and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Dining Area

The dining area is located within the living area and offers a large contemporary oak and glass dining table with six comfortable chocolate leather chairs, perfect for a family get together or romantic meal.  The private balcony also provides a round wooden table with four matching chairs, great for alfresco dining.

If you are able to pull yourself away from this delightful property, why not hop on the coastal train into St Ives and within five minutes you can be deliberating which wonderful restaurant to try out.  The award winning Porthgwidden beach café is definitely worth a try.

Games Room

Located on the second floor within the third bedroom, the wonderful games room is sure to be a hit with younger guests.  A 32" HD LCD Freeview television, Playstation III with a selection of games and a variety of board games can be enjoyed whilst sitting comfortable on the beanbags provided.

The kitchen at Shearwater is conveniently located next to the living area and offers access out on to the sun trap balcony via the sliding patio doors.  As you walk into the kitchen your eyes can’t help but be drawn to the picture window which boasts amazing sea views.  

The fully fitted kitchen provides ample storage and work top space, with integrated appliances, including a double oven/grill, 4 burner gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.  The floor is tiled along with a tiled splash back.  There is a great selection of utensils, along with a microwave, toaster, kettle, blender, Tassimo coffee machine and slow cooker, great for popping the evenings meal on and letting it do the hard work whilst you spend the day on the beach.  

A portable BBQ is provided for barbies on the balcony or on the beach.

Bedroom 1 with En-Suite

The master bedroom at Shearwater is located off the entrance hallway and boasts a fabulous en-suite shower room comprising of WC, wash basin and shower cubicle.  Another room with a “WOW” view, the picture bay window boasts stunning views across to Godrevy lighthouse and Gwithian sands and can be enjoyed from the comfortable king size metal bedstead which is luxuriously dressed with crisp white Egyptian cotton bed linen, scatter cushions and throw.  Ample storage is provided within the two built in cupboards, chest of drawers and bedside tables.  Matching reading lamps, a 22” LCD HD Freeview television with built-in DVD, hairdryer and vanity mirror are also provided.

Bedroom 2

Also located on the lower floor, bedroom two offers another beautifully made double bed with just as amazing views as the master bedroom.  Two bedside cabinets with reading lamps, built-in cupboard and a large chest of drawers provide plenty of storage, with a useful vanity mirror and hairdryer.

Bedroom 3

The third bedroom is located on the upper floor and is carpeted throughout.  This large family room not only boasts two single beds, but a children’s games room as well!  Situated in the eaves of the property, two large Velux windows with blinds and a picture window to the front of the property are perfectly placed to still enjoy the fantastic views to Porthminster Point and The Island.  This spacious room also offers a large chest of drawers with matching reading lamps, wardrobe with hanging and drawer space, mirror and hairdryer.

A cot and high chair are provided for our younger guests, we do ask however that you provide your own bedding for the travel cot.  

A set of towels comprising bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and flannel is provided for each guest, as well as complimentary White Company toiletries.

Bathroom One

The generously sized family bathroom is located on the lower floor and has a slate tiled floor and fully tiled walls.  A white suite comprises of WC, wash basin with mirror, light and shaver point above and a bath with shower overhead.  A glass and chrome shelf provides storage for toiletries and a chrome heated towel rail keeps your towels nice and toasty.

Bathroom Two

The en-suite to the master bedroom is also fully tiled with slate and white ceramics and has a WC, wash basin with mirror, light and shaver point above, shower cubicle with shower and chrome heated towel rail.  

A bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and flannel are provided for each guest, together with complimentary White Company toiletries.

As Shearwater is located on the top floor of Riviera Apartments, it really does boast marvellous sea views to Porthminster Point and The Island in St Ives. 

The private balcony can be accessed from either the lounge patio door or kitchen sliding door.  This tranquil space catches the afternoon and evening sun and is the perfect place for a sundowner cocktail or alfresco dining.  A round wooden table with four matching chairs and turquoise cushions are provided along with two comfortable outdoor beans bags and portable BBQ, great for barbies on the balcony or on the beach near by.  

An external storage cupboard can be found next to the front door which is very useful for housing all of the beach gear or walking boots.

One allocated parking space is provided within the Riviera Apartments private car park.  Additional pay and display parking can be found close by at the train station car park.

It also connects to St Erth and Penzance to mainline UK stations including Paddington, London.
