Living Area
Lounge Area
When you have arrived at Upper Deck you are welcomed into a spacious hallway with slate effect flooring and a carpeted staircase which leads up to the third bedroom.
The spacious open plan kitchen and living area can be found off the entrance hallway. The cathedral height ceiling really opens up this room making it a fabulous, bright and airy space to socialise. The fresh, neutral décor is teamed with blue soft furnishings, along with two comfy tan leather sofas, a single comfy contemporary chair and modern glass coffee table. Hardwood flooring is laid throughout with an injection of blue from the lounge rug and white Venetian blinds can be found at all windows. Entertainment is provided with a 32” LCD Freeview television, DVD player with a selection of DVD's, DAB radio with integrated iPod dock and CD player, complimentary Wi-Fi and a selection of board games. Alternatively, why not take in the panoramic sea views which can be enjoyed from any of the three windows within the lounge area? Binoculars are even provided to keep an eye on the pods of dolphins and seals which often frequent the shores of Carbis Bay.
Dining Area
The dining area is conveniently situated between the kitchen and living area and comprises of a table with six matching chairs. The private balcony also offers a bistro style table and chairs, great for an after dinner drink once the children have gone to bed. You may find it difficult to pull yourself away from the sea views, but if you did fancy trying out some local cuisine, then why not try Porthgwidden Beach Café in St Ives? A family friendly restaurant located just above the golden beach.
Kitchen
The kitchen at Upper Deck is located within the open plan living area, taking full advantage of the sea views across the bay. Ample storage can be found within the gloss white units and boasts integrated fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, combinational oven and a dishwasher. A 4-burner gas hob with extractor hood above, microwave and a great selection of utensils are also provided. The balcony can also be accessed from the kitchen via the sliding patio doors.
Sleeping
Bedroom 1 with En-Suite
The master bedroom at Upper Deck is located off the entrance hallway and boasts a fabulous en-suite shower room comprising of WC, wash basin and shower cubicle. Light streams into this spacious room from the bay window, which offers further views of St Ives Bay. The comfy king size bed will be made ready for your arrival, as will all beds, and storage is provided within the double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedside tables with matching reading lamps can be found along with an LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD player, tall freestanding mirror, chair, hairdryer and hardwood flooring.
Bedroom 2
Also located on the lower floor, bedroom two offers twin beds, hardwood flooring, bedside tables with matching reading lamps, a double wardrobe, chest of drawers, freestanding full length mirror, arm chair and LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD player. This room has a large window which looks to the rear of the property; with a blackout blind to ensure an undisturbed nights sleep.
Bedroom 3
The third bedroom is located on the upper floor and is carpeted throughout. This large family room not only boasts a king size bed, but a games area can also be found to the front of the bedroom. Situated in the eaves of the property, two large Velux windows and a picture window to the front of the property are perfectly placed to still enjoy the views to Porthminster Point and The Island. This spacious room also offers bedside tables with matching reading lamps, double mirrored wardrobe with hanging and drawer space, LCD Freeview television, arm chair and additional storage can be found within a large built in cupboard.
A cot and high chair are provided for our younger guests, we do ask however that you provide your own bedding for the travel cot.
A set of towels comprising bath sheet and hand towel is provided for each guest, as well as complimentary White Company toiletries.
Bathrooms
Bathroom One
The generously sized family bathroom is located on the lower floor and has white tiled walls with slate effect flooring. A white suite comprises of WC, wash basin with mirror, light and shaver point above and a p-shaped bath with power shower overhead. A glass shelf provides storage for toiletries and a chrome heated towel rail keeps your towels nice and toasty.
Bathroom Two
The en-suite to the master bedroom is fully tiled with luxurious sandstone ceramics and has a WC, wash basin with built in storage, shower cubicle with power shower, chrome heated towel rail, mirror, shaver light and socket.
A bath sheet and hand towel are provided for each guest, together with complimentary White Company toiletries.
Outside
As Upper Deck is located on the second floor of Riviera Apartments, it really does boast marvellous panoramic sea views, stretching right across from Porthminster Point along Carbis Bay Beach to Gwithian and Godrevy Lighthouse.
The private balcony can be accessed from either the lounge patio door or kitchen sliding door. A bistro table with chairs is provided, great for enjoying an alfresco breakfast or pre-dinner drinks. Just sit back relax and be mesmerised by the azure seas beyond.
An external storage cupboard can be found next to the front door which is very useful for housing all of the beach gear or walking boots.
One allocated parking space is provided within the Riviera Apartments private car park. Additional pay and display parking can be found close by at the train station car park.
