This train service runs throughout the year and is favoured by many of our guests as one of the best ways to travel in between Carbis Bay and St Ives - just a 4 minute journey. This trip should be taken at least once on your holiday for the experience, if not for the convenience of leaving your car behind.
For those holidaymaker wishing to travel to Cornwall by train, the the Branch Line links to St Erth and Penzance and connects to all mainline UK routes such as Paddington London, Manchester and Derby.

The St Ives Branch Line is notably the most scenic train ride in Britain. It starts at St Erth on the Cornish Main Line and travels alongside the estuary of the River Hayle before reaching the Atlantic Ocean. Here, this single track line hugs the coastline taking in Lelant Saltings and the stunning beaches of Carbis Bay and Porthminster.
There are two stations in Lelant, one in Carbis Bay and one in St Ives.
