Dating back to 1889, West Cornwall Golf Club is one of the oldest links courses in the country and certainly the oldest in Cornwall. Golfers may find they are frequently distracted from their game as the course runs alongside the Hayle Estuary and has stunning coastal views across St Ives Bay.
The 18 hole par 69 is 5884 yards, club and trolley hire available but no buggies. Guests must produce handicap certificates. There is also a driving range and friendly clubhouse serving lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Green fees £35-£40.
