St Ives is blessed with some fairly unique shops, so whilst Dad looks after the kids on the beach, Mums can enjoy just wandering around the cobbled streets for some retail therapy. Something different around every corner, specialist gift shops, art studios, surf shacks and plenty of other surprises in store.
Fore Street is the main thoroughfare which runs parallel with The Wharf, this too has some good art studios and shops, but the joy of shopping in St Ives is discovering the backwaters such as The Digey and don't forget the Craft Market behind The Sloop.
St Ives Pasty
Once the daily diet of the tin miners of Cornwall, the pasty is renowned worldwide. In those days, the pasty was filled with meat, potato and parsnip one end and perhaps apple at the other, the crust was usually thrown away. Nowadays, you can sample the traditional variety or something a little more creative, you will find a number of pasty shops throughout the town, Beware the seagulls, they too will want to sample your pasty.
Moomaid from Zennor
You would expect to find a number of shops selling ice cream in St Ives, Kellys is a famous local brand but perhaps try the speciality shop on The Wharf, Moomaid of Zennor offer a range of deliciously rich and smooth ice creams along with a number of tasty and fruit packed sorbets available. Milk and cream produced from nearby Tremedda Farm.
The Allotment Deli
The Allotment Deli is open year-round and located steps away from the harbour selling local West Country produce and cheeses, olives and continental meats, beers, wines and spirits, basic provisions and has an on-site bakery.
St Ives Silver
St Ives Silver is in Fore Street and will usually be the cause of a distraction for the ladies, offering a wide range of handmade and unusual jewellery.
Whistlefish Gallery
There are two Whistlefish galleries, one on Fore Street, the other on the Wharf. Both offer prints and originals of local artists' work at competitive prices.
I Should Coco
I Should Coco specialises in fine Hand Made Fresh Chocolates using local Cornish Cream and Fruit and as many other local ingredients, only real chocolate is used ie. chocolate with 100% Cocoa Butter , a good cocoa content and natural Vanilla.

Sloop Craft Market
The Sloop Craft Market is found on Back Lane behind the Sloop Inn, running for over 40 years there are a dozen stall holders including Debbie Martin who produces beautiful stained glass also Beach Wood produces sculpted boxes and hand painted wood.
