For day visitors, parking is provided by the Carbis Bay Hotel next to the beach alternatively, there is parking up the hill at the Station or Porthreptor Road. For the holiday resident at Carbis Bay, you can leave the car at the apartment . Facilities on the beach include a shop, cafe and toilets, a lifeguard also operates in high season. With a gently sloping beach and usually a calm sea, the beach is ideal for small children. Small inflatable boats are commonplace whilst offshore you may find the occasional water-skier or windsurfer. To avoid the crowds during the busy summer months in Cornwall, Carbis Bay beach offers a perfect place to spend a lazy day topping up the tan or helping build the kids sandcastles. At low tide a walk around Carrack Gladden point takes you to the views that inspired John Miller to paint - click here to view a classic. |
