Living Area
The living area of Beachcomber has a bright and airy ambience, with a fabulous picture windows and a high vaulted ceiling. The views are second to none, reaching across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse and the golden sands of Gwithian. This open plan area is perfect for sitting back on the two comfortable sofas and relaxing, whether you choose to be mesmerised by the amazing sea views or by taking advantage of the wonderful entertainment package on offer.
A wall mounted 40” Samsung LED flat-screen television with full Sky package, Playstation III with a range of games and Blu-ray DVD’s, Sony iPod docking station and complimentary Wi-Fi are provided. A selection of board games, books and local guides can be found in the sideboard.
Dining Area
Situated next to the living area and kitchen, the dining area boasts double aspect views both out to sea and to the rear south facing garden. A large glass dining table with four matching leather chairs provide the perfect position to enjoy a pleasant meal in.
Should you wish to dine alfresco or enjoy pre-dinner drinks, then the rear sun trap terrace at Beachcomber offers a fabulous rattan table with four matching chairs.
Alternatively, why not enjoy the fantastic selection of local restaurants? Have a read through the Welcome Guide which can be found in the property for some great inspiration. Alternatively, Casa Romano and Romano’s Lounge and Wine Bar are located just a three minute walk away, offering yummy Italian dishes and tapas.
The generously sized kitchen forms part of the open plan living and dining area, perfect for those who like to socialise whilst rustling up dinner. Ample storage is provided within the modern white fitted units where you can find a great selection of crockery, utensils and blender. Work top space is also plentiful, with an additional large breakfast bar. All of the large appliances are integrated, inkeeping with the kitchen’s contemporary look and feel. Appliances include a Bosch dishwasher, washer-dryer, double oven-grill, 5 burner gas hob, fridge, freezer, bespoke extractor hood, microwave and a very special Nespresso coffee machine (coffee pods included). The kitchen window overlooks the south facing rear garden and terrace, allowing the sun to stream in.
Bedroom One
The attractive master bedroom is located off the entrance hallway and enjoys a quiet and sunny aspect overlooking the rear of the property. Double French doors open out onto the private decked terrace, perfect for swinging open and enjoying breakfast on the rattan patio set provided whilst listening to the babbling stream nearby. A sumptuous king size bed is beautifully made, with crisp white luxury bed linen, scatter cushions and a throw. High gloss bedside drawers with matching reading lamps, wardrobe and a separate chest of drawers provide ample storage. A 19” LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD, full length mirror and hairdryer are also provided.
Bedroom Two
The second bedroom is located to the front of the apartment, accessed via the main hallway. This room takes advantage of the magnificent ocean views with a central picture window. Guests can sit back on the comfortable twin beds and take in the views what ever time of year. The divan beds are also meticulously dressed with crisp white bed linen, cushions and throws. A wardrobe, bedside drawers with a reading lamp, 19” LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD and a hairdryer are provided.
A bath sheet, bath towel, and hand towel are provided for each guest and a travel cot and high chair are also provided (please provided your own cot bedding).
The spacious bathroom is situated off the entrance hallway and is beautifully tiled from floor to ceiling with contemporary slate. The white bathroom suite consists of a luxurious P-shaped spa bath with overhead integrated power shower, perfect for relaxing after an eventful day exploring. There is also a free standing wash basin and WC. There is a glass and chrome shower screen, back-lit vanity mirror with shaver socket and a duel fuel heated chrome towel rail, great for keeping your towels nice and toasty.
A bath sheet, bath towel, and hand towel are provided for each guest along with complimentary White Company toiletries.
Decked Terrace
To the rear of Beachcomber there is a fabulous decked terrace area accessed via the front door or master bedroom French windows. This area is a sun trap due to its south facing position, enjoy the two rattan sun loungers . Sit back on the rattan two seater sofa, put your feet up on the footstool and listen to the babbling stream, a perfect place for a morning coffee and a quiet read. A rattan table, chairs and sofa is also provided, ideal for alfresco dining or pre-dinner drinks on the decking, an excellent spot for setting up the BBQ which is provided.
Garden
The rear garden includes a small raised lawn and sub tropical planting, accessed via the decked terrace or by a set of granite steps, a small bistro set is provided. There is also a paved patio on the lower terrace which is sheltered from any breeze or strong sun. The rear garden is fully enclosed with a solid entrance gate to the side of the property, ideal for allowing your dog to wander freely or, securely storing your bicycles or surf boards.
Riverside
Riverside offers a wonderful central location ideal for easy access to St Ives and the surrounding area. Carbis Bay beach is just a short walk away via the beautiful wooded Carbis Valley, located adjacent to Riverside, perfect for a relaxing self catering holiday in St Ives.
Riverside on St Ives Road was originally a coach house which formed part of the Trevethoe Estate and was later sold to the owners of the St Margaret’s Hotel, being converted into the chauffeurs garage and living quarters. It was subsequently transformed into a chemist and then into a newsagent, locally known as The Cornishman. In 2011 Riverside was fully renovated providing office accommodation for Carbis Bay Holidays and adapting the first floor into a luxury two bedroom apartment.
St Ives is just a 20 minute walk away with the Carbis Bay railway station less than 10 minutes walk, perfect for enjoying the short scenic ride into St Ives or linking with the mainline at St Erth. A supermarket, convenience store, bar and restaurants are also within walking distance of Riverside.
Although private parking is unavailable, quiet residential parking is available just a minutes walk away.
Riverside is on St Ives Road, a bus stop for both directions is located a few metres away making it ideal for guests without their own transport or prefer not to use the car.

The sunny garden was perfect for the kids being secure and the choice of outside furniture and bbq added to the great living accommodation. Very tastefully furnished with great attention to detail. A short walk to the Cornish Arms for a pint and also the Italian on St Ives Road, we also ventured further to Becks - best fish and chips in the area."
