Entrance Hallway
Upon entering Blue Rock you are greeted into an impressive spacious hallway where a solid oak staircase with chrome balustrade leads you up to the living area. A beautiful chandelier suspends from the high vaulted ceilings and oak flooring is laid throughout the property adding to the bright and airy ambiance which this wonderful holiday home exudes. Adjacent to the kitchen, a second staircase can be found which leads down to the ground floor bedrooms.
Living Area
The magnificent living area is located on the second floor and truly is the crowning glory of this contemporary coastal retreat. As soon as you walk into this room you cannot help but be mesmerised by the panoramic sea views through the floor to ceiling windows. Sit back in any of the three comfortable sofas and take in the views from Porthminster beach across the bay to Godrevy lighthouse, or why not watch the comings and goings in the harbour? A great entertainments package is provided, with a 40” LCD television with Sky package, Nintendo Wii with selection of games and a DVD player with an assortment of DVD’s. A good selection of board games, maps and books are also provided.
Dining Area
The fabulous dining area can be found within the kitchen, where a contemporary glass table with eight matching acrylic dining chairs are perfectly positioned to take in the sea views through the floor to ceiling picture window. For those nights when you don’t fancy cooking, why not try some of the delectable cuisine on offer throughout the restaurants of St Ives? The award winning Blas Burger is a must and is only a 5 minute walk away, incredibly popular with gourmet burger lovers of all ages.
The modern open plan kitchen at Blue Rock is located on the first floor and benefits from beautiful sea views across the bay to Gwithian and also down towards the harbour. This bright and airy room is stylishly appointed with white gloss units and black granite worktops, offering ample storage and preparation space. The kitchen is appointed to an extremely high standard with a waste disposal sink, integrated dishwasher, freezer, two fridges, large Whirlpool 6 ring gas hob, large oven and stainless steel extractor hood. It is also well equipped with all the crockery and utensils you could require, including a coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster.
Within the open plan kitchen a cosy and relaxed lounge area can be found, offering two comfortable double cream leather sofas, perfectly positioned for taking in the views as well as for socialising with those busy in the kitchen. You can certainly dine in style at Blue Rock whatever the time of year. Eat alfresco on the kitchen balcony or relax in the dining area, stunning views can be enjoyed either way. An LCD television, DVD player and iPod dock with DAB radio is provided for your entertainment.
Laundry facilities are housed in a separate utility room on the ground floor with washer/dryer.
Bedroom One with En-suite
The master en-suite is located on the first floor and provides beautiful sea views and access out onto the large balcony via the floor to ceiling sliding doors. This bright room boasts a sumptuously dressed king size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, bedside tables with matching reading lamps, fitted white gloss wardrobes with ample hanging and shelf space, large chest of drawers, full length mirror, hairdryer, LCD Freeview television and alarm clock radio with iPod dock. The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room with complimentary White Company toiletries. A bath sheet, bath towel, and hand towel are provided for each guest.
Bedroom Two
Located on the ground floor to the rear of the property overlooking the sun terrace, bedroom two provides a comfortable king size bed, bedside tables, dressing table with stool, chest of drawers, integrated double wardrobe, full length mirror, matching bedside reading lamps, hairdryer, LCD Freeview television and alarm clock radio with iPod dock.
Bedroom Three
Similar to bedroom two, this large room overlooks the rear garden and has an additional Velux window which allows an abundance of light to flood in. This room also boasts a king size bed, bedside tables, dressing table with stool and vanity mirror, chest of drawers, freestanding double wardrobe, full length mirror, matching bedside reading lamps, hairdryer, LCD Freeview television and alarm clock radio with iPod dock.
Bedroom Four
Bedroom four is located to the rear of the property and provides access out onto the sun terrace. A beautifully dressed single bed, side table with reading lamp, wardrobe, full length mirror and LCD Freeview television are all provided for your comfort.
Bedroom Five
Bedroom five is a spacious single bedroom located to the rear of the property and is sure to provide guests with a quiet nights sleep. A Velux window allows light to stream in from above and a large mirrored built in wardrobe provides ample hanging and shelf space. A single bed, bedside table, tallboy chest of drawers, reading lamp and an LCD Freeview television can be found within.
A set of Egyptian cotton bed linen and a bath sheet, bath towel, and hand towel are provided for each guest.
Bathroom One
The family bathroom is located on the ground floor adjacent to bedroom two. The white bathroom suite comprises of a bath with overhead shower, wash hand basin and wc and is fully tiled with luxurious Travertine. A heated towel rail, electric shaver point and vanity mirror are also provided, along with a useful built-on cupboard perfect for storing toiletries.
Bathroom Two
The en-suite to the Master Bedroom of Blue Rock is appointed to a high standard with slate floor and wall tiles and comprises a large walk in power shower, wash hand basin with storage underneath, wc, heated towel rail and vanity mirror.
A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided for each guest, together with complimentary White Company toiletries.
Balcony
A large decked balcony with glass and stainless steel balustrade is accessed from both the kitchen and master bedroom. Double French doors open out on to this fabulous large outdoor living area where two sun loungers and a table and six chairs can be found, perfect for alfresco dining or pre-dinner drinks. A BBQ is also provided for guests use. The sea views from the balcony are stupendous, stretching right across from St Ives harbour to Godrevy lighthouse and Gwithian.
Sun Terrace and Patio
The ground floor sun terrace is partially covered and can be accessed via bedroom four, the utility room or from the driveway which provides gated access to the side of the property. This peaceful, sheltered spot is ideal for relaxing with a good book. Steps lead down to two separate patio areas with shrubs and tropical planting, a real haven and bonus for a holiday property in St Ives.
Blue Rock provides parking for up to two cars on a private driveway.
