Guest Comments

"We really enjoyed our holiday at Driftwood, we loved the bungalow. We particularly liked La Casita in Carbis Bay and the Harbour Restaurant in St Ives.  The Watermill Inn in Lelant had nice food, for a day trip our favourite place was Falmouth (we ate at the Harbour View Café & Bar which was very nice).Padstow was a nice place too."

"My family & I had a wonderful relaxing week at Driftwood & found the property to be immaculate & very well facilitated. The location was ideal with excellent links to St Ives & the beach (much to the delight of my grandchildren), was beautiful with wonderfully calm waters for their play"

"Carbis Bay is definately a relaxing area with an understated beautiful beach which was never over populated. We only ate out once at the Seagrass which I thoroughly enjoyed, We ventured up to the Eden Project and Lands End which was fabulous. The horse riding at the stables in St Ives was the best! The girls went for a hour session and ended up with an hour and a half which they were thrilled with. "

"We were very happy with the standard and cleanliness of the Driftwood, especially, the location was excellent , we were able to walk with the dog along the coast path to the dog friendly Porthkidney beach and also into St Ives. All expectations were met and the property was a real home from home, but we knew you were there if we needed you."

"We had a fabulous week in Driftwood which was helped by the weather needless to say.
It was extremely comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, all the comforts of home. it could not have been better, we really loved it. We had some great walks, one on St. michael's way, from Carbis Bay to Penzance about 12 miles and caught the bus home. Another from the Minack theatre towards Lands End, another from Mullion Cove to the Lizard and back again. We cycled to Hayle beach and back a few times, also to Portreath and back."

"We had a great holiday in Carbis Bay. "Driftwood" was ideal, very comfortable and of a high standard. The bathroom was very user friendly for our disabled daughter. We would certainly consider booking with you in the future. We loved St Ives and the surrounding area, we toured around a lot and used some of the recommendations for places to eat and visit from your welcome book. A lovely holiday was had by all, even the dog!! "

"We had a wonderful holiday staying in your Driftwood property.  What an excellent location, the bungalow was just in the right spot, peaceful and private but with excellent walking opportunities both for countryside walks and also access to the beaches.  Very dog friendly location and our dog (Indie) certainly enjoyed her treks to Knill's monument and surrounding footpaths between Carbis Bay and St Ives.  She did occasionally cheat and took the train into St Ives though!  Excellent time of year ( October ) to visit the beautiful beach of Carbis Bay as dogs are allowed on the beaches at this time and we certainly spent some very pleasant hours on the beach.   Also a favourtie was Godrevy, we had been before but watching the seals basking on the beach and playing  in the surf was memorable.  We had a very nice meal at Badgers Inn.  Local shops to the property were convenient and very good.  The bungalow is of a very high standard and an ideal property with a dog, the secure back garden area and fantastic conservatory add a great deal to the property.  The property was very clean and welcoming and having stayed with you before we were not disappointed with the quality.  A very spacious bungalow, homely and very comfortable."

"Driftwood is a great accommodation that is very comfortable, and ideal for a family with a dog due to its safe and secure rear garden. The little extras really make a difference, such as the local maps, and small kitchen consumables such as dishwashers detergent. The accommodation was very clean, and the linen and towels were in excellent condition."

S. Medcalf

The bungalow was absolutely brilliant, it was very clean and spacious.  The personal touches were nice everything you would need even dog dishes (it really is a home from home), it is close to lots of things to do but set back so you get the peace and quiet.  The local area was stunning we walked the coastal path and enjoyed the views and the local beaches (especially the dog), horse riding, shopping, the local artists and my favourite the ice cream and fudge.  The best meal we had was in the Badgers Inn, this was warm and friendly and fantastic food.
