Occupying a second floor position in Carbis Beach, this apartment boasts spectacular sea views from the living area and master bedroom. Carbis Bay retreats like this have to be seen to be believed. Tastefully furnished, Emerald, welcomes you to sample a piece of Cornish life in truly luxurious surroundings. This apartment is on the second floor, (the same level as the car park) and has lift access.
Lounge Area
Emerald boasts a spacious lounge with far reaching views, a large flatscreen digital TV, DVD, Sony Playstation 2 with a selection of games, and a Micro HiFi system that plays CD's or enables Ipod connection. The lounge with luxury Amtico flooring opens to patio with table and chairs with spectacular views over Carbis Bay beach towards St Ives or across the long sandy beach of Hayle and Gwithan all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse. The lounge has a number of original oil paintings and water colours inspired and painted by the owners' family who have visited the area for over 40 years.
Emerald is accessed directly along the walkway leading from the car park making it ideally suited for the less abled. This is also a child friendly apartment with cot and highchair provided for younger guests. There is a "Welcome Book" packed with information about St. Ives and the varied attractions of St. Ives. You will also find O.S. maps, walks, pub and restaurant guides, as well as a selection of games, books, DVDs and PS2 games.
Dining Area
Emerald has a spacious dining area with table and chairs for 4 people, a booster seat is provided for younger guests. With the superb views from the dining area, you will be hard pressed to find a more delighful location for a meal. Of course the patio balcony offers an alternative for al fresco dining. If you are tempted to dine out, there are a number of restaurants within walking distance of Emerald, Becks Fish Restaurant, Atlantic Hotel, La Casita are a short walk away, the wide choice of St Ives quality restaurants are 5 minutes away using the rail link conveniently on your doorstep. Fresh fish and locally caught lobster will entice you away from the apartment, the Mermaid in St Ives is a particular favourite of the owners. The welcome manual in the apartment will also show other guests' recommendations.
Emerald has a fully fitted modern kitchen with split level cooker, hob, microwave, built in fridge, dishwasher, washer-drier, freezer, toaster, kettle , coffee machine. There is a high breakfast table and stools as an alternative to the dining room.
St Ives has a superb range of restaurants just 5 minutes away but with this luxury, you will be tempted to enjoy a quiet evening in the apartment. Self catering in Cornwall at its best and ideal for the family beach holiday. Emerald is also suitable for the less able having direct access from the walkway off the car park.
Bedroom One
The master bedroom of Emerald directly overlooks Carbis Bay beach, imagine drawing back the curtains, opening the patio doors and listening to the waves lapping on the beach below. There is a lot to see and do in this delightful part of Cornwall, but you will certainly be tempted to have some lazy mornings, stay in the king size bed and just gaze at the view. There is a large wardrobe, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers, an LCD TV with integral DVD and memory card slot to view your digital pictures and hairdryer are also provided. The patio doors of Emerald open onto a delightful patio balcony with table and chairs, the voile curtains provide a wonderful shimmering effect in the summer breeze.
Bedroom Two
Bedroom two boasts two generous sized luxury single beds, there is a large built in wardrobe, bedside cabinet and chest of drawers, a TV with integral DVD and a memory card slot to view your digital pictures.
Bathroom One
The main bathroom has a WC, wash basin and shower enclosure with power shower. Luxury toiletries are provided for you to pamper yourself in front of the large vanity mirror.
Bathroom Two
The en-suite to the master bedroom of Emerald is extremely spacious with twin wash basins, WC and bidet. To relax and pamper yourself after those long days on the beach or walking the coastal paths, there is a superb whirlpool bath.
A set of towels are provided for each guest, but please bring any required for the beach.
Emerald has a patio balcony which can be accessed from the living area or the master bedroom. The patio overlooks Carbis Bay beach, enjoy the sunrise over Godrevy and Hayle or the spectacular sunsets over St Ives. A patio table and chairs are provided, you will constantly be drawn here as the colours of the sea and sky change all the time.
The patio balcony is safe for children but should be supervised at all times, it is also a wonderful setting for al fresco dining or just a quiet drink.
Carbis Beach
Carbis Beach apartments are located in a commanding position directly above Carbis Bay beach near St. Ives in Cornwall. These premier family friendly apartments are the ultimate in self-catering luxury. Each is centrally heated and furnished to the highest standard to provide year round enjoyment. Some of these 5 star graded apartments are more accessible than others as they can be reached either by stairs, lift or directly from the private gated car park. Once you have unpacked, drink in the views and walk through the landscaped gardens using the private pathway down to the beach.
The accommodation consists of a large lounge/dining room, separate kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The lounge and master bedroom both have uninterrupted views of Carbis Bay beach and across to St. Ives. There is an allocated parking space behind secure gates and additional parking can be arranged on request.
