Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside, and where better than Cornwall. Porth Tide is a lovely duplex apartment, with the added benefit of two bathrooms, ideal for a young family or couple wanting to be close to Carbis Bay beach or the rail link to St Ives. Guests can enjoy the superb sea views from St Ives to Godrevy from the communal terrace at the front of Compass Point. Have a wander down to the safe sands of Carbis Bay beach or enjoy the miles of coastal footpath in the area which are right on your door step.
Lounge
Porth Tide has a spacious open plan lounge and dining area. The lounge comfortably seats four people with settee and armchair. For entertainment guests can enjoy viewing a 40" LCD television with Freeview, Full Sky package and DVD player. A collection of DVD's are provided, there is a selection of board games, maps, guides and books provided in the lounge for guests to enjoy.
Dining
Porth Tide has a spacious dining area comfortably seating four, with pine table and chairs and a high chair for younger guests.
There are of course a number of restaurants in Carbis Bay and nearby St Ives, some offer a takeaway service, alternatively, you can prepare your meal at home and enjoy the comfort of your apartment.
There is a fully fitted modern kitchen with NEFF cooker, hob, microwave, built in fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and everything else you would expect from an apartment of this quality.
Bedroom One
Located on the first floor, there is a double bed, large wardrobe, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and dressing table with mirror and stool, so you'll have plenty of storage space. Watch the 32" LCD TV from your comfortable bed, tune into the DAB radio or use the I-pod dock for your entertainment. There is a hair dryer and alarm clock.
Bedroom Two
The second bedroom is also on the first floor and is fitted with one single bed, bedside cabinet, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a 22" LCD TV with DVD player, I-pod dock and radio.
Although not enjoying sea views, these bedrooms will ensure that you sleep well after those long walks on the beach and cliffs. Blackout blinds are fitted in both bedrooms, all bed linen and towels are provided, including a bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel for each guest. A travel cot is available on request, but please note we do not supply bedding for the cot. There is a family bathroom adjacent to both bedrooms.
Bathroom One
Is on the ground floor off the hallway and has a shower enclosure with shower, WC , sink, shaver point and heated towel rail. Complimentary toiletries are provided. A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person.
Bathroom Two
Located on the first floor, the family bathroom has a bath, overhead shower, WC, sink, shaver point and heated towel rail.
Compass Point
Compass Point is a prestigious development of purpose-built luxury apartments, situated in a prime position on the seaward side of Carbis Bay, with stunning views of the sea and surrounding coastline. Compass Point is just three minutes walk away from the spectacular golden beach at Carbis Bay. Easy access is also available to the small railway station where the single-track railway follows a dramatic path along the coast, taking you into St Ives in less than five minutes

May 2011 - Guests should be aware that there is some building work taking place on a plot adjacent to Compass Point Apartments. This should only affect apartments:- Ocean Breezes, Amethyst, Porth Tide and Ahoy There!.
Feb 2012 - Structural build now nearing completion, block work complete and roof trusses being fixed. No building schedule provided by developers, but completion expected by Summer 2012.
Apr 2012 - Main apartment block complete. Outside parking and walls nearing completion, now at second fix stage internally. Landscaping to do.
