"We had a lovely holiday at Portside, the accomodation was up there with the best, spotless, well thought out and planned. With a husband who is a golfer, the full sky package came in handy for the Ryder Cup. He played Perranporth and West Cornwall Golf Courses (I caddy he buys me lunch), both challenging. Our younger members used Porthmeor Surf School, £30 per 2hr lesson, equipment included and if you book 3 lessons the third is £15. Love Porthminster Beach Cafe but Porthwidgeon and Porthmeor were both good too, as was Blas Burgers and the Digley Food Co. "
N. Brown"Everything at Portside was superb. Particularly enjoyed trips to :- Eden Project, Lands’ End, The Loft restaurant, Carbis Bay beach. Obviously the fantastic sunshine that we enjoyed really helped."
K. Speed"Portside certainly lived up to our expectations. The position of the property was ideal for accessing the huge quiet beaches between St Ives and Hayle as well as being very convenient for the local shops The light and the views from the living area were beautiful. The house was very clean and comfortable and generally well equipped."
L. Hymer"Have to say that our expectations were exceeded – lovely house and fantastic view, and to top it off we were greeted by a pod of dolphins in the bay on our first day. Perfect location for a beach holiday and our 3 year old son was in his element so didn’t feel the need to stray far from the bay. We did the walk (and train) to St Ives and had lunch at the Watermill, other than that it was beach, beach and beach!"

"Portside in an excellent spot. If you have a visitor(s) then get them to park in the Carbis Bay rail station car park opposite for free. Use the excellent 'lifeline' of the railway to travel to St Ives, it's cheap and really reliable. We used the following restaurants that we thoroughly recommend ........Black Rock, The Seafood Cafe, Carbis Bay Hotel,The Italian, Pizza Express, La Casista, The Bean Inn and Beck's Fish & Chips. "
L. Yarker"We really enjoyed our stay at Portside, the apartment was great spotlessly clean with everything we could have wished for, in fact everything from the booking onwards was very good, we did not want to come home. We would like to recommend Trevaskis Farm, also their farm shop is worth a visit, the walk into St Ives was very scenic as was the trip via the train"
L. & M. Sales"From our friendly greeting to the owners' willingness to come and help switch on our wifi, we were made to feel welcome and looked after from the start. The guide book in the house is useful and chatty without being dictatorial. And the facilities, their cleanliness etc were all first class."
E. Mair"We had a lovely stay at 'Portside' in Carbis Bay. The house was everything we expected and more. Big, Clean & Tidy. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious and well equipped Kitchen! We really enjoyed the convenience of the train station and a big Tesco not too far away. The coastal walk to St Ives is great. The only place to eat is the Porthminster Cafe!"
P. HenryWe very much enjoyed our stay in Portside - the villa was beautiful well-equipped and comfortable. A big plus for us was the train into town and the Sky Sports package when we were too tired to move after a day's walking! We highly recommend the garden of Trebah and the Geevor Tin Mine. We dined at the Black Rock and New World.
P. BlackHi, we had a wonderful stay, the property was excellent as was the administration of the holiday. Excellent location for hopping on the train to St Ives as we were so close to the station. We recommend the Porthminster cafe, Peppers and Cafe Pasta in St Ives, Carbis Bay Hotel conservatory for cream teas and Olives Cafe in St Ives for delicious cakes. Walks we would recommend, Carbis Bay to St Ives along the coastal path , Carbis Bay to Lelant along Porth Kidney beach, headland walk around Hells Mouth out towards Godrevy lighthouse, walk around Zennor and Tinners Arms for lunch, thanks again
Josie Sanigar"We were over the moon with both the standard of accomodation and the cleanliness upon our arrival. We even had christmas decorations! The whole property totally exceeded our expectations and the view was amazing. It was the perfect christmas retreat for all the family being able to socialise together whilst watching the 50 inch tv!!"
P. Blackmore, Essex"We have nothing but positive feedback on our holiday at Carbis Bay,
everything as perfect, waking up to such a beautiful view every day was amazing."
"We both had a fantastic time at "Portside" and where very pleased with the quality & standard of the accommodation. All the little things like the pint of milk on arrival in the fridge & the tea and coffee all added up to make a very welcome arrival after such a long car journey! We would book "Portside" again without a moments hesitation as we believe the quality, standard and value for money of accommodation are possibly second to none in the surrounding area!"
