Living Area

Living area

After making your way up the striking, blue lit, oak staircase to the first floor, you are greeted into the spectacular open plan living area via glazed double doors.  The living area is a bright, contemporary large space, with floor to ceiling windows allowing the light to stream in.  Double doors lead out on to the balcony with far reaching views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse.

The cathedral style ceiling gives this room the real wow factor, along with solid oak flooring which has been laid throughout.  There are two white leather sofas seating five, along with a single leather armchair and foot stall, white gloss coffee table and matching nest of tables.  A glass unit houses the 42” LCD TV, Blu-ray DVD player and Nintendo Wii, with a good selection of DVD’s and games provided.

Dining Area

The dining area is ideally positioned between the kitchen and living space, where the sea views can also be enjoyed.  An oak and glass dining table with modern moulded seating seats six comfortably.  A built in unit houses the iPod docking station, wireless internet, games and maps.  If you would like to give the local cuisine a try, there is an array of superb restaurants within walking distance, in both Carbis Bay and St Ives.  We thoroughly recommend Seagrass, The Seafood Café, Alba and Porthmeor Beach Café.

Study

A peaceful area located on the third floor, accessed via a second staircase.  A great room to escape to, either to read a good book or just take in the unparalleled sea views.  There is also an LCD Freeview television, sofa which doubles as a sofa bed for extra guests, along with a desk and chair for those that may need to catch up with work whilst away.

Kitchen

The bespoke kitchen is beautifully appointed with imported Italian polished quartz work surfaces and ample storage is provided within the white gloss, soft close units.  Cooking is made a pleasure with a five burner gas hob with extractor hood, integrated combinational oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.  There is a one and a half bowl sink with a window which overlooks the rear of the property, along with all the utensils you could require to make a feast.  There is a breakfast bar with two bar stalls, great for grabbing a quick snack or for socialising with the designated chef.  For those that like to wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, a "bean-to-cup" espresso machine is provided.

There is a separate utility room housing a washer/dryer, airer and ironing board with iron.

Sleeping

Bedroom One with En-suite

The master bedroom can be found off the impressive entrance hallway.  The neutral décor creates a peaceful atmosphere in this spacious, bright and airy room.  A modern oak four poster double bed adds to the luxurious feel that this house exudes, along with bedside tables, reading lamps, a double mirrored wardrobe, a chest of drawers, curtains and is carpeted throughout. An LCD Freeview television with DVD player is also provided.  Two double windows let an abundance of light in and a patio door opens out onto the driveway.  Seaward facing, a restricted sea view can also be enjoyed.

A cot and high chair are available for our younger guests. We do ask however that you provide your own bedding for the travel cot.

Bedroom Two

Bedroom two is also on the ground floor and is situated to the rear of the property.  It offers a double divan bed, bedside tables, reading lamps, chest of drawers, double mirrored wardrobe, LCD Freeview television, curtains and a window that overlooks the enclosed garden.  This room is also fully carpeted.

Bedroom Three

The third bedroom is located next to bedroom two and offers twin beds and is fully carpeted.  A quiet room just perfect for ensuring a good nights sleep after a busy day out and about.  One bedside table is provided along with a double wardrobe and curtains.

All bedrooms come with quality beds, mattresses, cotton bed linen, hair driers, and ample towels are provided throughout, except beach towels which are unfortunately not provided.

Bathrooms

Bathroom One

The main bathroom can be found on the ground floor of Shamal.  It is fully tiled and has a beautiful white suite from Villeroy and Boch comprising a large double end bath, large separate shower cubicle with rain fall shower and separate hand unit, WC, wash basin and chrome heated towel rail.  There is also a large mirror with light and shaving point.

Bathroom Two

The en-suite bathroom to bedroom one comprises of a wet room style shower with rain fall shower head, modern style WC and wash basin, and is fully tiled in a contemporary style, complete with a heated towel rail.

There is a further WC and wash basin in the fully tiled, luxury cloakroom on the first floor.

Outside

Balcony

The covered balcony offers a great space for socialising, whether it be pre dinner drinks, alfresco dining or just soaking up the Cornish sun.  The glass and chrome balustrade allows you to still take in the picturesque coastal views whilst sat at the table which seats six people.  Slate floor tiles continue the contemporary feel, along with the architecturally designed canopy.

Garden

There is a shaded garden to the rear of the property with mature shrubbery, along with a BBQ area which can be accessed to the side of the drive way.  There is ample parking for two cars on the brick driveway.

"Thank you for a wonderful, luxurious, extremely clean holiday home in ideal location. Particularly enjoyed the views from the balcony. A very comfortable five star standard property. Enjoyed meal at Ocean Grill, St.Ives and very good cafe, Sunset Beach, Gwithian. As usual a wonderful holiday in this wonderful part of Cornwall."

R. Conway

"We enjoyed our holiday in Shamal, Carbis Bay and were quite satisfied with the cleanliness of the property. We found two good places to eat - The Alba - St.  Ives and the Sea Food Cafe - St. Ives ( where they were particularly helpful with the child buggy).  The coastal walk from Carbis Bay to St. Ives was very pleasant though sections  with steps were difficult with the buggy."
