There are two large leather settees and a 32" LCD Freeview TV. A Playstation II and HiFi system with IPOD docking station are also provided for your entertainment. The sideboard contains a selection of DVD's , CD's, books and games for those lazy days indoors. One of the oustanding features of Silver Sands is the wide patio balcony that opens from the lounge, beautifully lit at nighttime this can be used for al fresco dining or just relaxing and enjoying the stunning views across St Ives Bay at any time of the day. The lounge also has a superb lighting system where the lights can be dimmed and adjusted to reflect your mood.
Dining Area
The dining area of Silver Sands is part of the open plan living accommodation and enjoys the stunning views across St. Ives Bay, so although you will be tempted by the superb choice of restaurants in the area, dining-in will be a pleasure. The dining furniture is modern oak with leather chairs and seating for six people. The intelligent lighting system can be changed to reflect you mood. There is a Welcome Book provided with a wealth of information about the area, the restaurant reviews in our Visitor Book will also help you decide where to dine out. A number of take away restaurants offer services allowing you dine at one of the best tables in Carbis Bay - Silver Sands dining room.
Silver Sands has a fully fitted luxury kitchen with all the latest integral appliances including a Neff Cooker and hob, microwave, washer dryer and dishwasher. You will find all the kitchen gadgets that a gourmet chef would be pleased with, also including a coffer maker, toaster and kettle. There may not be any arguments as to who does the cooking or washing up, the kitchen of Silver Sands is part of the open living area and so enjoys the stunning views across St Ives Bay. In addition there is a breakfast bar with stools provided for anyone who would prefer to keep chef company.
Bedroom One with En-Suite
The Master Bedroom of Silver Sands is a sunny room at the rear of the apartment. With a king size bed and bedside cabinets with reading lights, this relaxing room with provide a comfortable night's rest leaving you fresh for a busy day on the beach, walking the coastal paths or discovering the delights of Cornwall. For your entertainment, there is an LCD TV with a DVD player. A hair dryer is also provided even hair straighteners to save a little on packing the suitcase.
There is plenty of storage provided in Silver Sands with fitted wardrobes and drawer, there is also a dressing table with mirror. A travel cot is provided for younger guests, bedding is not provided. There is a superbly fitted en-suite with contemporary white Italian designer basin and sanitaryware, WC and shower enclosure. There are smart stream lined chrome mixer taps, shower fixtures. Sheer luxury.
Bedroom Two
Silver Sands has a sunny rear aspect second bedroom, furnished with twin beds, there is plenty of storage provided with wardrobe, drawers and bedside cabinets with reading lights. For your entertainment, an LCD TV with integral DVD player is provided. A hair dryer is also provided.
The family bathroom is close to the second bedroom down the spacious hall, Bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided for each guest.
Bathroom One
Silver Sands has two superb contemporary bathrooms, there is a family bathroom with w.c., wash basin, and bath with hand shower attachment. This spacious bathroom has been beautifully tiled with sandstone , the fittings are sleek chrome, the sanitary ware is white Italian design.
Bathroom Two
The en-suite to the master bedroom, is also furnished in the same superb contemporary style with a white Italian basin, WC and a shower enclosure with overhead shower. There is a feature wall of a textural sandstone tiles. A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel is provided for each guest. Complimentary toiletries are also provided in each bathroom.
One of the great features of Silver Sands is a spacious patio balcony, with stunning views across St Ives Bay, you can get up early to enjoy the sunrise over Hayle and Godrevy and then relax in the evening and watch the sunset over St Ives. There is a table and four chairs on the patio balcony which is thoughtfully designed with blue lighting to provide a restful ambience in the evening, enjoy al fresco dinners or just relax and watch the views. The communal gardens of The Sands in front of the apartment have been carefully designed with shrubs and trees.
The Sands
The Sands are a prestigious development of contemporary apartments of various designs, ideally positioned to maximise the views across St. Ives Bay. The Sands are convenient for the Blue Flag accredited Carbis Bay beach and the delightful single line rail connection, this being perhaps the most scenic railway journey in the UK, linking St. Ives to Penzance. We loved the apartment, which was very clean, comfortable & well appointed, we enjoyed the lovely view from the window, watching the boats in the bay. We had my parents with us who are both 88 & not very mobile, but they managed very well with the easy access into the property.We visited the Tate, Trengwainton Garden which is nearby & the Eden Project, all of which were very enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed meals at La Casita and The Badger at Lelant (they do a good carvery)."

C.WilshawWe really had a great stay in Silver Sands and Cornwall. The apartment is fabulous and of high quality. It was spotlessly clean on arrival. It was a nice feeling to come back to this beautiful apartment in the evening after a busy day of sightseeing. The walks we really enjoyed were to Zennor Head, Gurnards Head, Godrevy Point, Hells Mouth, Kynance Cove to Lizard. Pendennis castle at Falmouth is worth visiting as it offers fantastic views. The same goes for St. Michael´s Mount. We also enjoyed Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan very much. Our recommendations for restaurants would be La Casita at Carbis Bay and The Badger Inn. Both offer very friendly service and good food especially La Casita. Thanks for offerring this wonderful apartment.

We loved the walk from Carbis Bay to St Ives and found the train was very useful too to save taking the car to St Ives. It was quite a bargain for the 4 of us travelling together as we could use the Groupsave fare of £4 for the 4 of us for a return journey. It was fun to be in St Ives for November 5th, and to watch the fireworks on Porthminster Beach. We also enjoyed trips out to Lands End, the Minack theatre and the Lizard peninsula. Restaurants we particularly enjoyed were the Seafood Cafe & the Porthminster Beach Cafe, and we also had a superb lunch at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay, about 45 minutes drive away.
