"We very much enjoyed our stay at Star Gazy apartment in the Peninsula, it was great to have access to the pool and gym at the Harbor Hotel and lovely to wake up every morning with a great view of the sea and Porthminster Beach.  Everythingy was a very high standard and well stocked with everything you could need for a week away. We also liked the nice touch of the welcome pack with cream tea and Healey’s apple juice.  We would highly recommend Alfresco restaurant in St Ives and also Seagrass and Alba, we also enjoyed a lovely Cream Tea at the Beachcomber Café by the Harbour and a good breakfast at the Yellow Canary Café on the main shopping street.  We took the train to Lelant Halt one day and walked the coastal path back which was very picturesque and we also enjoyed the coastal walk around Cadgwith not far from Lizard.  For days out we liked St Michael’s Mount which is great for photos and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. We would also recommend the pitch and put course in Hayle when the weather is nice."

"I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Carbis Bay Holidays and the owner of the 'Star Gazy' apartment at the Peninsula. The whole experience has been exceptional. The quality of your website, properties on offer and dealing with yourselves on the phone, or via email, has been very reassuring. 'Star Gazy' completely exceeded our expectations. The facilities on offer and the attention to detail were fantastic, as was the location and the view. The complementary use of the spar facilities was an excellent bonus and we enjoyed booking treatments on our stay. We will definitely go back to this property, as it felt a real home from home for myself, my wife and my 9 month old little boy."

"We we very impressed with Stargazy.  The pictures looked great on your website but even they didn't do it justice.  The views over the beach and towards the harbour were spectacular.  It was spotless, everything was a really high standard and every little detail had been considered.  All the info I could possibly need was in the folders and all the appliance switches were clearly labelled.  We especially enjoyed the clotted cream scones and fruit juice which were waiting for us on arrival! The beds were really comfortable and the apartment was lovely and warm.  We enjoyed splat paint a pot when it was raining and had a nice walk to Carbis Bay for an ice cream when it was a little warmer.  We especially enjoyed our visit to St Michaels Mount.  Everywhere we ate was delicious. We had a lovely lunch at the toastie bar near the harbour and also at the portminster beach cafe. We also enjoyed lovely evening meals and a great view at the Pedn Olva, the lifeboat inn and the sloop inn. We also enjoyed having a swim with the kids in the hotel pool.  We had a really super time and loved staying in such a beautiful apartment. "

"Star Gazy was spotless, warm, beautifully decorated, what we appreciated was the quality of everything – such as the beautiful glass coasters. It felt like a great deal of care and thought had gone into furnishing and accessorising the apartment.  By far the best place we found to eat was The Beach at Sennen Cove. Views and food to die for.  We went to a KidsRUs production, which was great fun and showcased the talents of local youngsters. We would certainly go to anything they are putting on if we visit again. Although the weather was gloriously sunny, the wind was wicked, but you can’t beat walking on Porthminster Beach followed by a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows at the beach cafe while the feeling is coming back to the face!  Pottering around St Ives was a joy."

Star Gazy's standard of accommodation was excellent – extremely well appointed and pretty much everything you wanted. We visited Heartlands in Pool which we thought was a really interesting place, especially if you were interested in Cornwall’s mining heritage. We used the complementary ticket and visited the Tate and Barbara Hepworth’s studio,  was very impressed – would go again. Another must is a trip on the St Ives branch line into Penzance – the views from the train are fantastic. As for restaurants, we thoroughly enjoyed the Sea Food Café in Fore Street and visited twice during our stay. An early evening drink outside the Sloop is always good – it was just about warm enough to sit outside in early February! "

"We had a great time in St Ives, Star Gazy exceeded our expectations and we had some fantastic food at the Porthminster Cafe and the Seafood Cafe being particular highlights. We did love our stay, if I had to write all the positives I am sure I would go over the 100 mark."
