"We had a great week thank you. It is the second time we have stayed at The Retreat and hope it wont be the last. It is a lovely flat. One of the highlights was the coastal walk from the flat to Zennor, spectacular if perhaps a couple of miles too long! Lots of good places to eat and we really enjoyed Blas  good food and great atmosphere."

"The week we spent at the Retreat was a very enjoyable and pleasant experience, the weather was an added bonus. The holiday was part of a surprise birthday for my wife who has been coming to the area on holiday since she was a young girl with her parents. Now we try and get down ourselves with our three girls at least once a year and as I mentioned it was her birthday that week and I wanted a place to stay that was a little bit special and your property was in the ideal location with the benefit of a parking space. I found the property through the Internet and was pleased by the pictures on your website as well as the additional information which was provided. On arrival we were met promptly by the house keeper Karen and I can only say that property was more impressive than I had expected and my wife was equally impressed, this being the first time I had planned the family holiday it was such hit I fear I may have the job for life.I can honestly say this was a wonderful property to stay in, very comfortable, modern and finished to a very nice standard a real credit to the owners and to the people involved in maintaining the high standard. It is a pleasure to strongly recommend this property and we look forward to coming back. As we have had the benefit of coming to St Ives for a number years I would like to mention that there are a number of very nice places to eat in particular Peppers in Fore Street very good food and service, we first went there some 12 years ago so it nice to see a sustained business and a new place we enjoyed was the Harbour fish and chips restaurant and take away, again good value and wonderful service. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back sooner rather than later, so thank you to all concerned"

"The Retreat was furnished with great taste….modern and contemporary, we really enjoyed St Ives and the local beaches and the convenience of being able to walk into town was great. We went to St Michaels Mount, Padstow, The Eden Project and some lovely beaches when the weather allowed!! Our favourite restaurant was The Porthminster Beach which was fantastic with great service"

"My family and I would also thank you very much for this nice property. It was very beautiful, clean, comfortable... Also St. Ives is a very beautiful place. We enjoyed it very much. Definately it is the most beautiful place in Cornwall. We recommend the following restaurants - The Waves,  The Black Rock,  The Restaurant of the Porthminster Hotel.  Almost all restaurants, shops, bars...have their own charm."

"Our week in St Ives was fantastic. We loved the location, The Retreat was fabulous and of course the weather was amazing. The apartment was spotless and beautifully furnished. We ate at the Porthminster cafe, the tapas bar next to the Tate, Alba and twice at a pizza place right on the harbour front which did delicious fish as well as great pizza, i think it was called Caffe Pasta?. In terms of days out we didnt really do a lot as the weather was so great we spent a lot of the time on the beach. We did however do the Tate Barbara Hepworths house which was interesting and the Trevellyn? Gardens which were lovely."

"I’ve only got great things to say about my whole experience with Carbis bay Holidays. The Gallinas point development is beautifully placed in St Ives – just far enough out of the main centre but giving easy access to the shops and beaches within a 5 minute walk. The Retreat in my opinion is stunning and a real credit to the owners that have furnished it. The furniture, and fittings are all of the highest quality and everything was a pleasure to use (Coffee from the DeLonghi coffee maker every morning was lovely). Given that I’d got 2 boys with me (8 and 10) the addition of the PS3 and a big TV was a real bonus as well! The whole apartment is light, airy and incredible spacious and even with 5 of us stopping there, we now felt crowded or short of space at all."
