Building Works
March 2013 – Renovation work has commenced on a building adjacent to Gallinas Point Apartments. Scaffolding has been erected and extends across the road to the gable wall of Gallinas Point. Although access cannot be gained across the scaffolding to the apartments, privacy may be compromised in the external areas of apartments Serendipity, Kara and The Penthouse, along with the kitchen side window of Kara and The Penthouse. The roof and chimneys are being taken down from the building and we are advised the scaffolding will then be removed and reinstalled later in the year. We will continue to monitor the works and will up-date the website with any changes as soon as we are aware.

"Couldn't fault a thing. Admin etc was very smooth and painless. Accomodation was very nice and clean. All the touches from welcome snacks, nice towls, kitchen utensils, baby stuff, games consol, sky - down to little things like the beach chairs and bucket spades made it all a real enjoyable experience. With two young children the property was perfectly located for beach, town, leisure centre and access routes which was a bonus. We looked for nice restaurants that catered for children. The ones we liked alot were Seafood Cafe, Blas Burgerworks, Porthminster Restaurant, The Cornish Range (Mousehole), Waterfront Restaurant and various fish and chip shops. Attractions in the area we enjoyed was St Michaels Mount, Minack Theatre, the st ives swimming pool and various beachs particulary Porthminster beach."
M. Tatham"The Waves apartment was beautiful and had everything that was needed to make it an enjoyable time. We would recommend the following: the mermaid restaurant, the firehouse restaurant, alba restaurant. As we had a 16 year old, to keep amused we found the go kart track at Hayle was great and the coastal walk taking the train to Lelant Saltings and walking back. A trip to Lands End and the Minack Theatre were great with the Minack being a fantastic experience."
L. Wiggins"The Waves was a lovely apartment and the added bonus of an 'easy' parking space, it was spotless and the facilities top notch - especially Sky (sports for the husband!) and the Wifi for myself. The bed linen and towels are lovely and the housekeeping service is excellent. We always enjoy a coffee in St Ives but we would also recommend pub dinner at the Lamb and Flag at Cannonstown and for something a little special, the Coldstreamer at Gulval."
K. Hallworth"We had a great the stay at The Waves thank you and were lucky with the weather too! the property itself was superb with excellent facilities. This time around we ate at two restaurants we hadn’t tried before – The Mermaid and Alba – and the quality of food at both was excellent. We also enjoyed walking from the apartment along the coastal path to Lelant and stopping at The Badger for a lovely lunch before the walk back."
Anon"We have no hesitation in recommending "the Waves" apartment. Ideally situated for a short stroll into St Ives, superb furnishings and spotlessly clean and well equipped we had a fantastic time. We would recommend the Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe for a meal (we've been for the last 3 years we've visited Cornwall and have never been disappointed. We also visited Blas, Becks Fish and Chips and Rhubarbs (all recommended in your visitors book) which were all very nice. "
T. Ryeman"The Waves:- Lovely and clean & met our expectations, St Ives was great-loved it, the best restaurant for us was Peppers which had a varied menu, prepared to a high quality and the staff were really friendly. The FireHouse was a close second."
P. Durham"The Waves apartment is stunning and the accommodation is of an extremely high standard, very clean and very comfortable. The view of Portminster beach is stunning. Every aspect of the apartment, the style, the fixtures and fittings, its location, all exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend the Seafood Cafe and the Harbour Fish & Chips restaurant - best fish I have eaten and first class service!! We would recommend Paradise Park in Hayle and a visit to Mousehole for excellent days out. "
J. Wheeler"The Waves, as expected, was of a very high standard, exactly what we were looking for. Gallinas Point is ideal above Porthminster and close to the centre of St Ives. We would strongly recommend the Seagrass Restaurant in St Ives - first class food and service"
W. Samuel"I can honestly say “The Waves” is the best self catering apartment / flat we have stayed in. The accommodation is immaculate and finished to a very high standard. We have a thirteen year old daughter who is in a wheelchair so the wide doors and open plan are perfect for what we need. We love how well equipped the apartment is with the large TV, Sky, Wi-Fi and games consoles for if the weather is bad, and the kitchen with all the utensils you need for if you decide that you want to eat in. You cannot fault anything to be honest and I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone."
A. Davies"We really loved the apartment. We have been used to a very high standard of accommodation when we have previously had cottages. We were not disappointed - it was just as we expected from the write up and pictures on the web. We loved the views from the balcony over Porthminster beach, we went to the Carbis Bay hotel for afternoon tea - the views were great and it was a really nice venue. Fish and chips from the St Ives sea front (ocean beach cafe I think) were extremely nice. We did have a really lovely holiday."
V. & W. FosterThe Waves was smashing, clean and very well equipped, the bed linen and towels are excellent quality and the beds themselves are very comfy. Sky tv, the wii, dvd player are great, and we took our laptop so the wifi was perfect. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in the apartment - it really is a credit both to the owners and yourselves.
K. Hallworth"We really enjoyed our holiday in the Waves apartment. We thought it was really well furnished and equipped with everything you could need in a self-catering apartment. The location was ideal, close to Porthminster beach and a short walk away from the centre of St.Ives."
