Outside

The balcony of Ultramarine is accessible from either the lounge or the master bedroom, with a patio table and four chairs. Imagine enjoying breakfast, aperitifs or dinner to the stunning backdrop to the sight and sounds of St. Ives Bay. In fact, the apartment is situated closer to the beach than it appears in this picture, being built on the cliffs directly above the beach.  St Ives bay is one of the few to be given the award "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" - it is well deserved. Although completely safe we do recommend that all children are accompanied at all times. The balcony is directly above the garden from which a path leads down to the beach by a private gate.  We like to think we have thought of everything and even provide you with beach towels and a superb picnic set for your day out.

There is one allocated car parking space within the electronic security gates.  We can also arrange for additional spaces within the gates, there is a charge for this by the management company.

Guest Comments

"Ultramarine was fantastic! One of the nicest places we've ever stayed in, the apartment itself was gorgeous and the ipad was a lovely touch. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything you could wish for and the rest of the accommodation was beautifully furnished. The location of the apartment was superb also. 2 mins walk from the train station and 2 mins walk from the beach, plus the balcony overlooked the beach was was amazing. Waking up the the sound of the waves every morning was idyllic. We didn't go on many walks but we did walk from the apartment to St Ives once. I would strongly recommend this (or at least getting the train), as driving in the centre of St Ives is difficult even at the quietest of times. We went for a few meals in St Ives and although we enjoyed each and every one, we particularly enjoyed The Loft., The Hub and Blas Burgerworks."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ultramarine.  The apartment was ideal for us having a 2 year old wanting to go on the beach every day !  The facilities were excellent and have nothing but praise for the accommodation both in terms of location and quality - we would definitely recommend it. Becks Fish and Chips were excellent and we had take away pasta and pizza from La Casita which was also very good.  Recommend Trevaskis Farm Shop in Hayle - good shop and great cafe.  Also walk around the farm was good (and free!).  Had several coffees at Hub in St Ives - go upstairs for views of the harbour - and child friendly. We went to Paradise Park three times - excellent in door soft play centre and the animals and farm kept the children entertained."

"We had a lovely holiday at Ultramarine thank you, it was beautiful and very clean. It was furnished very luxuriously and it had everything we needed - it was very well equipped - the men especially enjoyed the iPad! We all loved the view and hearing the sound of the sea when we opened the windows. We especially enjoyed eating at Alba and Seagrass in St Ives. We hired bikes and did the coast to coast path which was great! Also enjoyed trips to Padstow and Mousehole as well as pottering around St Ives.  "

"The apartment was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, well-equipped and peaceful, with a stunning view. We enjoyed the usual things over the week, including the complementary swim membership at the leisure centre, walks along the beach, visits to St Ives and some meals out. Thank you. I have no doubt we will return."

"We very much enjoyed our holiday at Ultramarine in Carbis Bay.  The standard of the accommodation and cleanliness were very good. It was also the ideal location for being able to get in and out of busy St. Ives on the train without worrying about parking.  We all enjoyed the Tate and the sculpture garden also the Restaurant on the beach opposite the Tate was very good."

The apartment was ideally situated, very clear and extremely well furnished.  We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely promote such a lovely property to any of our friends who will be looking for accommodation in the locality.  We used the apartment as a base for walking a section of the south west coast path.  We found that the railway to St Ives was very convenient for popping into St Ives in the evening and not having to worry about parking our car or driving after having had a drink.

"We have stayed at the Carbis Beach Apartments in all but one year since 2002. The decor of Ultramarine is by far the best of any of the apartments in which we have stayed. Having recently refurbished our own kitchen and bathrooms, we very much appreciated the quality of the fittings and attention to detail in the refurbishment of Ultramarine."

M. Bayfield, Hertfordshire

"We know Carbis Bay well. It's a beautiful place made even more enjoyable by our stay at Ultramarine. The location of the apartment couldn't be better and the attention to detail throughout the rooms is a delight!   Hopefully we'll be back again soon."
