Living Area

Lounge

Waves has a spacious lounge / dining room, two three seater sofas, a large dining table with six chairs, and side tables and storage units. The lounge opens directly onto the decking area, equipped with a patio table and six chairs. A special feature is the range of framed prints by local artists. There is a 32" Sony HD LCD TV with Sky+ HD, Blu-Ray DVD player and a Nintendo Wii.  You can also enjoy listening to your own music on the Bose Ipod docking station.  You will also find a range of OS maps, local guide books and restaurant guides, games, DVDs, novels, books on wild life and recipe books. We provide a full welcome pack with information about St Ives and the local area. There is also a long list of local restaurants, with notes about our particular favourites, phone numbers for local taxis and a timetable for the local railway into St. Ives. The walk into St. Ives along the coastal path is also strongly recommended.

Dining

The maple dining table seats six people in comfort. In summer, there is nothing quite as good as a meal on the decking, overlooking the sea. As an alternative, St Ives and the surrounding area have a wide range of excellent restaurants. We have suggested some of our favourites in the 'welcome pack'. On the decking we provide a table and six chairs. Once you see the view you will see why guests spend so much time outside! Waves is ideally suited for the less able, the apartment can be accessed directly from the lift.

Kitchen

Waves has a large, fully fitted modern kitchen with beautiful Amtico flooring.  There is a AEG hob and multi-function double oven, microwave, integrated fridge washing/dryer, washing/dryer, Bosch dishwasher and Bosch fridge/freezer. "We had a fantastic break, the accommodation at Waves was beautiful, very clean and tastefully decorated and the views were terrific, even had a visit from the local seals. It was a lovely gesture to have the welcome pack, thank you. Great walk from Carbis Bay to St. Ives and the train was so convenient. Highly recommend the Alba restaurant, great food and atmosphere."

"We had a lovely holiday in Waves, the accommodation was excellent, perfectly clean and had everything we needed and of course had a sublime view. We managed to get on the beach most days and travelled around visiting different places around St Ives. We loved Tate St Ives and were lucky to go on a Sunday when it was their family day. Reuben, our three year old, also loved Paradise Park.  In terms of restaurants we particularly loved Porthminster cafe, followed by Alba and Blas Burgerworks. We tended to go in and out of St Ives on the train which was really convenient."

"We had an excellent stay at Waves, the accommodation was of the highest standards and the views of the bay breathtaking. The first day we sat on the balcony taking it all in and were even treated to  dolphins and “the seal” , we look forward to our trip next year"

"The quality of the accommodation was the best we have experienced in many years.  It was a real pleasure to stay somewhere with that level of fixtures and fittings / beds / towels / view etc. The coastal walk to Lelant Saltings, returning on the train, was beautiful.  The fish and chips from the Balancing Eel were fantastic.  Having a bbq on Porthmeor beach watching the sun set over the sea is an excellent idea.  The carvery at the Badger Inn in Lelant was great.  We spent most of our time on Porthminster beach - which is idyllic."

"We had a fantastic holiday thanks!  The weather that week was superb and we were on the beach everyday.  Everything was perfect - the accommodation was spotless and we were met by the housekeeper on arrival who showed us around.  I must admit Waves really is 5 star - the views from the apartment are breathtaking and inside everything is well maintained and "as new".  I'm sure we werent, but it felt like we were the first people to have our holiday there! Lovely fluffy white towels, gorgeous bed linen, a spa bath, a well stocked kitchen - what more could we ask for!  As to activities - well Sennan Cove is a must at sunset - we got some fantastic photos of the views.  The seals at Godrevy Point were good as well - I would recommend this walk with a pair of binoculars! The beach is lovely there too. "

"We had the most superb holiday at Waves.  We were very impressed with everything about the accommodation, the view was breathtaking and we didn't venture far as we had all that we needed to hand, the car parking was very convenient and safe.  As everyone else has said it is so nice to find somewhere that is so perfect."

Hi - overall we were very impressed with Waves and would defenitely stay again. The view was amazing and the apartment was spacious and very well equipped. Kids loved the Wii and the jacuzzi bath which we weren't expecting! We particularly liked picking mussels off the rocks at low tide and cooking them for dinner. Kids thought that was fantastic. They also liked Paradise Park(!!). Porthminster Cafe was fab as usual and the fish and chip shop on the main road in Carbis Bay was great. We went to a lovely beach on the north shore which I can't remember the name of now (past turn off to St Michaels Mount) but they had a fantastic cafe in a shack just by the beach which did evening BBQ's in their garden and had people playing live music. Great service and organisation.

"The decking area is marvellous, the views are just stunning and porpoise appeared once again in the bay as they do every year when we are there, perfect!!"

N. Parks, Nottinghamshire

"We had an absolutely fantastic time at Waves. Both the apartment and location far surpassed our expectations - we had several fine nights sitting out on the decking (admittedly wrapped up warmly) watching the superb sunsets.  The setting is wonderful - there can be few apartments which can provide a better, uninterrupted view of sea, sand and sky."

R. Stewart, London

"We had a lovely holiday, the apartment was excellent, very comfortable and clean. We have no complaints as always the organisation was very good."
