Living Area
Living Area
Tides has a spacious open plan living area with comfortable seating for up to four people on the three seater sofa and funky leather chair. There is an LCD TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a Nintendo Wii to keep the young and not so young entertained. A selection of books, board games and DVD's are also provided.
A Welcome Manual in the apartment provides a wealth of information about St Ives and West Cornwall. If you feel inspired, why not take a stroll into St Ives and peruse the local art galleries and shops selling local crafts. For the more energetic, a coastal walk to Zennor and a drink in the Tinners Arms is a real treat!
Dining Room
The dining room has table and chairs for four people to relax and enjoy eating in. An iPod dock is available so that guests' can listen to their own background music.
If you prefer to dine out, then the acclaimed Porthminster Cafe is just a short walk away. One of the best beach cafés in Cornwall, and a favourite of our guests,' this is not to be missed. Right on the beach, you have to try it to believe it. Other recommended eateries in St. Ives are the AA rosette awarded Alba, St Andrew's Bistro, The Seafood Cafe and Onshore Pizza restaurant. Further afield why not visit Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" at Watergate Bay? Reservations are not required for breakfast, otherwise we suggest booking in advance, as like all of the popular restaurants, they book up fast.
Sleeping
Bedroom One with En-suite
Bedroom one is very spacious and boasts luxurious king size bed with high quality bed linen. For entertainment, there is an LCD TV with Freeview, together with an iPod dock with alarm for those guests' who require one! You will not want for storage space here, there is plenty available in the generous wardrobe and chest of drawers provided.
A cot and high chair are available for our younger guests' we do ask however that you provide your own bedding for the travel cot.
Bedroom Two
This room is located close to the main bathroom and has two single beds dressed with sumptuous bed linen. There is also an LCD TV with Freeview along with an alarm and an iPod dock for guests' to play their favourite music.
With quality beds like these you will enjoy a sound sleep after an active day out exploring all that St. Ives has to offer. A hairdryer is provided in both rooms.
Bathrooms
Bathroom One
Ultra-contemporary in design, the main bathroom of Tides is accessed off the hallway. The large tiles, chrome fittings and Italian style sanitary-ware ooze luxury. There is a WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and bath with overhead shower and screen.
Bathroom Two
The en-suite to bedroom one of Tides is fully tiled, with the latest Italian style sanitary-ware and chrome fittings. Here there is a WC, sink, and shower enclosure with power shower. Perfect.
Towels and complimentary toiletries are provided for each guest... as you would expect from an apartment of this quality.
Outside
The decked terrace at Tides is a perfect sun-trap and benefits from the sun for most of the day. Here guests' will enjoy al fresco dining at any time, whether it be breakfast, lunch or supper. The quality outdoor table and chairs comfortably accommodate up to four people.
Consider trying your hand at mackerel fishing in St. Ives harbour, cook up your very own catch and then eat al fresco. If you prefer dry land, we recommend M. Stevens & Son, the local fishmonger in St. Ives for some locally caught ocean delights.
Guests' are provided with one allocated parking space behind secure gates. You may find that you choose not to use your car during your stay as there is just so much to see and do within walking distance of this luxury apartment.
Kitchen
For sociable cooking, the kitchen is open plan to the living area. Guests' will find all the modern gadgets and kitchen implements that you would expect from a premier self catering apartment. Built seamlessly into the high gloss units, there is a microwave, electric hob, oven and dishwasher. Among the other items one is used to having at home, guests' will also find a coffee machine, toaster and kettle on the gleaming work surfaces.
There is a separate utility room off the hallway with a washer/ dryer, ironing board and iron.
