“The property is in a great location for carbis bay and St Ives; and having the parking space on the driveway was a bonus.”

First impressions of the property is good. The kitchen provided all we needed. The living room is nice and comfortable. We only used the bedroom at the back of the property so can’t comment on the front rooms. In line with other comments we found the bed slightly too firm for us but nothing too bad. The bathroom is perfectly functional. The cleaners perhaps need to attend to the cobwebs below the radiator. The outdoor furniture was a nice bonus but it took us a couple of days to find the chair ...

The tv package was adequate but I guess these days most people are used to having extra channels. Overall a good property in a convenient location.

“Lovely location and the view from the bedroom was amazing.”

Property was fairly comfy but we did struggle with the master bed being hard. Otherwise fairly well-equipped and we did give feedback on the lack of cleaning products which we've never had to purchase in a self catering property before- bin bags, dishwasher tablets and cloths plus some decent washing up liquid! Shame, as everything else great and for the price we paid, it would just have made it a really good stay. Property owner was super responsive when we had a broken washing line so thank you!

“The house was well equipped.”

As is usual with holiday homes and gardens the garden could have done with some trimming and tidying. The garden gets sun almost all day. The new building in front of the garden was not an issue and may well have no bearing on views or peace and quiet. The house was tidy and clean. The double bed in the main bedroom was not as firm as it could be. The wifi was good and much used. The house is a short walk from Carbis railway station giving quick access into St Ives. We would recommend the property.

“The house had a great view of the sea and was spacious and it was nice to be so close to the beach.”

It’s a steep hill but had a good routine of driving down and dropping off the beach gear and driving back later to avoid having to carry everything back up the hill! The garden was also lovely to sit in. It was disappointing that the double bed in the back bedroom, facing the sea was extremely uncomfortable. We both had back ache all week and did not sleep well as a result. I would recommend a more supportive mattress on this bed. Parking was unclear initially as we have a large car that wouldn’t fit on the narrow drive but we parked on the road instead with no issues. It was a lovely view although it’s a shame about the noisy building work currently going on. I hope it won’t spoil the view of the sea for future visitors!

Blue Seas is charming family-friendly house tucked away in Carbis Bay, Cornwall. With three bedrooms sleeping six people and rear views of the sea, the property is perfect for escaping to the seaside with all the comforts of home. St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore.
