“We had a fabulous time staying at Sand Waves.”
The apartment was beautiful, so well equipped and a great location. We felt ourselves relax as soon as we walked through the door!
The apartment was beautiful, so well equipped and a great location. We felt ourselves relax as soon as we walked through the door! The view over Carbis Bay is stunning. A real delight to wake up in the morning lie in bed, listen to and watch the sea. We had such a lovely time we wanted to book again for next year but its fully booked already!!- Mr Chandler, June 2021
“The apartment was lovely and well equipped but two aspects mean we would not return.”
Firstly, being north facing, the sun does not reach the deck apart from a couple of hours in the morning, secondly the bed was quite hard. In addition it is a steep hill to the beach - easy going down but harder coming back.- Ward, June 2021
“"Sand Waves is a lovely apartment in Carbis Bay, very well equipped and with beautiful uninterrupted views.”
Even though the weather was cold, wet and windy (it’s February) I was snug and warm. As usual the Cornish welcome was second to none and my thanks to Kerry and the Carbis Bay Holiday Team for a perfectly presented holiday home."
Ruth Little- Review, Mar 2020
“"Once again, a very relaxing week at Sandwaves - surely one of the nicest apartments to stay in at Carbis Bay.”
The apartment is always beautifully clean and so well appointed. We appreciate the welcome gifts of scones & jam and the wine. February may be blustery - even more than usual this year, but the apartment is so warm and cosy on our return and we can hear the waves and wind outside! Thank you. "

“"We loved Sand Waves and had a really good holiday in Carbis Bay.”
The apartment lacked nothing and was a beautiful base for the holiday. We found Carbis Bay Holidays very easy to deal with and the whole process was completely as expected. This is the second time that we have booked through you and will do so again! Thank you" Chris & Christine Hinton- Testimonial, Sep 2016

“"We found Carbis Bay holidays to be excellent and efficient in all respects and could not have wished for any better service.”
The booking process was simple with a very fast response and a plumbing problem whilst we were on holiday was dealt with very speedily. Kerry and her team were very helpful in having the apartment ready for us as we were arriving early. The apartment was superb and even better than our expectations. it was beautifully equipped, bright and very clean and fresh. The apartment is brilliant and a credit to the owners. To summarise, we had a brilliant time, everything was perfect and we can't wait to come again. Thanks to the Carbis Bay team and the owners." “"We had a wonderful break at Sand Waves apartment and would dearly like to visit again, maybe even later this year.”
" C Glennon- Testimonial, Jun 2015
“"We had a perfect week in Sand Waves, everything we wanted and more.”
Clean, light and airy and all mod cons. We walked in to St Ives most days and took advantage of the local Fish and Chips (and Kelly's Ice Cream). We would highly recommend 'Splosh' as a place for people to visit (especially honey mooners). It's a basic concept of painting your own pottery but it is lots of fun and a great way to make a special keepsake to take home. We would also highly recommend Porthminster Cafe for food if guests want to splash out for a special occasion. We had the most amazing meal there - I still haven't stopped banging on about how gorgeous the Dexter Steak was. There are so many great things that it would take all day to list but again a massive thank you to all involved." C. & M. Davis- Testimonial, Jun 2015
“"The holiday at Sand Waves was a success and we had a great time, the accommodation was great, it was the best place I've ever stopped in" V.”

“"Sand Waves was more than we expected which was a delightful surprise as so often what you see is not what you get!”
All in all we have enjoyed the whole experience. " I. Villiers- Testimonial, May 2015
“"Sand Waves was the most wonderful apartment.”
It was exactly as depicted on the website and was a delight from the moment we walked in. No attention to detail was spared, and the location was perfect, we loved waking up to the sound of the sea which made for a lovely tranquil break. " A. Deeming- Testimonial, Apr 2015
“"Sand Waves and especially the location was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.”
Alfresco for dinner, Porthmeor Beach Cafe for tapas, Porthminster Beach Cafe for dinner. A walk along the coastal path to St Ives and Lelant and the train back, or vice versa. A trip to St Michael's Mount. A journey on the top deck of the open topped double decker. A visit to the Barbara Hepworth Gallery - especially the garden. Checking out all of the small galleries and shops in St Ives' cobbled streets. Enjoying the local ale, cider and wine! " L. Taylor- Testimonial, Apr 2015
“"We had a lovely holiday and thought Sand Waves was wonderful, it was immaculate, very tastefully decorated and of course with fantastic views.”
All the touches that Carbis Bay Holidays provided were lovely too - eg. the chocolate Easter egg, cream tea etc etc. The apartment was very well equipped too....even the DVDs were good! We love Godrevy beach...both for rock-pooling, playing (for the children) and seal watching. The seal watching point over the hill at Godrevy is a must, there were at least 40 seals on the beach when we went there! We had a great boat trip on the Dolly Pentreath - very fast and the girls loved it. (they are 9 and nearly 5 yrs old). We had a lovely meal at Onshore where the staff were really helpful and friendly." K. Fairweather- Testimonial, Mar 2015
“"Sand Waves is beautifully fitted out and has everything you could wish for with the added advantage of a double length decked patio with a vista over the golden bay and crystal blue sea.”
We ate outside every day of our stay both breakfast and evening meal and this was mid February! You can see the sun rise and sun set from the patio and can enjoy the ever changing colours over the bay. The flat sits on the coast path so you can easily walk traffic free and safe into St Ives or enjoy a short train ride hugging the water all the way back if you have over indulged at lunch time and we always tend to do this when visiting one of our favourite “celebration” restaurants The Seafood Café in the middle of town." R. & D. Langham- Testimonial, Mar 2015
“"Sand Waves is an absolutely beautiful apartment and was exactly what I had wanted for our break.”
The views were terrific, the flat was exceptional and everything was spotless. We spent most of the days exploring Cornwall, next time to spend more time relaxing in the accommodation and less time driving ! " J. Witts- Testimonial, Feb 2015
