Glas Mor is a fantastic self catering apartment perfectly located at Barepta Cove in Carbis Bay, Cornwall. It completely lives up to its Cornish name of 'Blue Sea' as the views from this very special property are nothing but outstanding and can be enjoyed from the spacious open plan living area, master bedroom and the stupendous full width balcony. We are sure you will spend many an hour in a complete daze, simply taking in the fabulous panorama. Parking - One designated space can be found within the secure gated car park. Additional pay and display parking is also available in the coastal branch line train station car park nearby. Living Area Hallway Upon entering the property via the nautical front door, complete with porthole, you can’t help but be drawn to the amazing sea view through the lounge and master bedroom doors. A coir matting area offers a good place for leaving sandy shoes; you will also find a useful coat hanging area and video entry phone. A utility cupboard is home to the iron, ironing board and clothes airer, along with space for storing beach gear. Beautiful solid oak flooring is laid throughout the apartment making it feel even more spacious. Living Area The open plan living area is incredibly bright, airy and spacious and has the most fabulous wall of windows with a sliding patio door, providing access out onto the full width balcony. A contemporary corner sofa with chaise comfortably seats four and is ideally positioned for enjoying the views out across the bay to St Ives. Alternatively why not enjoy the entertainment system provided, which includes an 50” smart Freeview television, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, Nintendo Wii with a variety of games, CD player and complimentary Wi-Fi? You will find a beautiful collection of original oriental furniture, along with a floor standing lamp. Should you really wish to block off the view, blackout blinds can be found at the windows. Dining Area The dining area is perfectly positioned between the kitchen and living area and still enjoys the fabulous sea views. Local art adorn most walls and a round glass table with four matching contemporary chairs are provided. Should you wish to dine out during your stay, why not take a trip on the coastal train into St Ives and indulge in a spot of fine dining at the Porthgwidden Beach Café? Kitchen The contemporary kitchen forms part of the open plan living area and takes full advantage of the amazing sea views. Additional light also floods the kitchen via the rear window. Ample storage can be found within the white gloss soft close units and plentiful preparation space is available on the black granite work tops. Integral appliances comprise of oven/grill, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, Nespresso Citiz coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and ceramic hob with extractor above. You will also find a toaster, kettle, handheld blender, slow cooker and a whole host of crockery, glassware and utensils. Sleeping Bedroom One The master bedroom boasts an en-suite bathroom and a fabulous wall of windows, which offers a fabulous view from the comfort of your bed. Sliding patio doors lead out onto the decked balcony, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of tea. Oak furniture consists of a king size bed, matching bedside tables with reading lamps and a chest of drawers. A double mirrored wardrobe provides both hanging and shelf storage and a dressing table with stool and free standing mirror is provided. Should it be a little cold outside, a chair is positioned right next to the window, ideal for a quiet afternoon read. Blackout blinds can be found at the windows and a 32” LCD Freeview television, iPod docking alarm clock radio and hairdryer are all provided for your use. Bedroom Two Located to the rear of the property, bedroom two offers a king size (5ft) zip and link bed which can be arranged as a twin (2ft 6″ slim single beds) on request when you make your booking. A double mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and matching oak bed side tables provide ample storage. You will also find a blackout blind at the window, a 22” LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD player, side table and hairdryer. Luxury white cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms, along with a selection of high quality towels for each guest. Bathrooms Bathroom One The family bathroom is conveniently located next to bedroom two and provides a shower cubicle, WC, freestanding wash basin with storage underneath, heated towel rail and a backlit mirror with shaver point. Under floor heating ensures your toes are not cold on the charcoal toned tiles. The walls are also tiled with modern ceramics. Bathroom Two The en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom is very spacious and offers a white suite comprising of, a bath with overhead shower, WC and twin wash basins with storage underneath. Its is tiled with similar floor and wall ceramics as the family bathroom; and a chrome heated towel rail, large mirror and shaver point are provided. A selection of high quality towels comprising of bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided per person. Outside Seaward Facing Balcony The wonderful decked balcony is accessible from both the living area and master bedroom sliding doors and takes advantage of the outstanding panoramic sea views. The view stretches right along Carbis Bay beach and across to St Ives harbour, Gwithian and Godrevy lighthouse. Two chairs are provided and external lighting allows you to enjoy this peaceful area whatever the time of day. Communal Garden The tranquil communal gardens are situated to the front of the development and provide access down to the private gate which leads directly onto the South West Coast Path. A shower can be found within the gardens, ideal for washing off sandy wetsuits or muddy boots.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.
