Susan “Although the property was lovely, we felt the check in time at 5.”
00pm & check out time at 9.00am was a shame as you are loosing a day of your holiday. I fully appreciate the apartment has to be cleaned well due to COVID but am sure the times could be altered slightly. There did also seem a lot of noise coming from people below slamming doors. Not very considerate for who else may be staying in the apartments.

Geoffrey “We have stayed in different Galina's Point apartments over the last 10 years all have been excellent , the one we stayed in this year 2021 was Kara , again excellent.”
One of the major benefits to Galina's point is that it has car parking and a designated slot. It is a easy walk into St Ives, these apartments tick all the boxes for me.
- Geoffrey, October 2021Many thanks for your feedback - we are so pleased you liked Kara. If you would like to return, please be aware Kara will be rented out through Aspect Holidays next year. Property Owner

Steve “What a fantastic apartment, exactly as per lovely images, very well equipped and so comfortable - the beds and bedding were like sleeping on a marshmallow!”
Lovely to have the balcony with partial sea view for chilling on plus a solid wall so we were not overlooked from neighbouring balcony, safe parking for the car, easy walking to Porthminster Beach and just under 10 mins walk to town centre for more beaches, shops and plenty of eateries.
- Steve, August 2021Dear Steve, Thank you for taking the time to get your feedback to us. Its lovely to hear that you had such a wonderful stay. We sincerely hope to invite you back to stay in the near future. Kind Regards, Owner Relations Team, Carbis Bay Holidays Property Owner
Review “"Another great week in Kara at Galinas Point.”
It really is a great apartment with everything you need to have a great time, especially when you visit out of season as we do in both Spring and Autumn. Special mention to Carolyn of Carbis Bay for the friendly and helpful way she dealt with our late arrival in the rain! Highly recommended."
Bev- Review, Nov 2019Review “"We have stayed in Kara before and it is a lovely apartment with everything you need, even comfortable on a rainy day!”
Great to have a balcony and parking space - much needed in St Ives! Good location with a short pleasant walk into town centre and only a few minutes to fantastic beach with great facilities. Lots of places to eat, and great walks too!"
Dawn Hopkinson- Review, Aug 2019Review “"Kara is in a superb location, a few minutes stroll into the town for shops, bars, restaurants & similarly a few minutes down the hill to the gorgeous Porthminster sandy beach!”
Parking for 1 car and a decent space, easy enough to park a good-sized SUV. First floor, so a view of the sea is possible from the balcony, which sees the sun from morning until late afternoon. A sea view is also possible from the triangular kitchen window, which is nice when making that breakfast cup of tea. Nice and spacious with all the equipment you could think of for a family holiday including the sky sports/movies pack and an Xbox one with a handful of games. 1 good sized bathroom with a nice touch of a heated mirror, 1 smaller en suite. Plenty of wardrobe/drawer storage space. A washer drier, along with iron. board, hair dryer. 2nd visit to this apartment and probably the 6th or 7th to Gallinas Point, would recommend to anyone wishing to have a great holiday in St Ives - location is great, so if you don’t want to drive, it's perfectly possible to park the car up and leave it there. "
Mark- Review, Aug 2019Review “"It was our first experience staying in Cornwall with Carbis Bay Holidays.”
The apartment we stayed in was on the recommendation of our daughter who has stayed there on a number of occasions with her family. Kara was the apartment we were booked in and we certainly weren't disappointed. It was very clean and modern and had everything we wanted. To top it all the weather was fantastic and made for a truly memorable experience! We will definitely book there again whenever we decide to book another holiday in South Cornwall. Thank you!"
Craig & Della Smith- Review, Apr 2019Review “"For us, Kara at Galinas Point in St Ives is like a timeshare without the investment!”
We stay there either once or twice every year. A superbly appointed and located apartment overlooking the Porthminster Beach side of the town. We like to visit St Ives out of season and so where you stay becomes more important to deal with the inevitable rainy days encountered on stays from October to March. The Sky TV package, large TV, coffee maker and comfy sofa are a home from home. Highly recommended."
Bev Wills- Review, Mar 2019Testimonial “Been coming to Kara since 2009 and every year I think we may just like this apartment a little to much!”

- Testimonial, Jul 2015Testimonial “"It was our fourth stay in Kara in just over two years, so I guess we like it there.”
Porthminster Beach Cafe does breakfast now is really good. The Cornish Deli in town does a great breakfast brunch too and Caffe Pasta on the harbour must be the best combination of quality, price and location in all St Ives." B Willis
- Testimonial, Jul 2015Testimonial “"We had a great holiday in Kara the location was ideal, St Ives is a very charming town with the narrow streets and the beautiful harbor.”
To friends who would like to visit Cornwall, I'll gladly recommend to stay in St Ives and Gallinas point. There are several good restaurants like Alba (seafood), we visited. Land's End, Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount, Tintagel, Port Isaac and others." T. Admunson
- Testimonial, Jun 2015Testimonial “"We had a fantastic stay at Kara and the whole family were very impressed with the quality of everything in the apartment.”
The cream tea and fridge bits and bobs were a nice welcome. The kids and myself made very good use of the Xbox in the mornings which was a great touch. The apartment met all our needs and we found its proximity to St Ives town and the beaches perfect. We are no strangers to St Ives, but our stay with you was really special and that was mainly down to the superb accommodation." D. Jervis
- Testimonial, Jun 2015Testimonial “"The apartment ( Kara) was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean and the views lovely from the balcony.”
We have been coming to St Ives now for a number of years and this apartment is in a very favourable location within easy walking of the town centre. This year we particularly liked the Seafood Cafe on Fore Street and The Ocean Grill on the Wharf Road. The Tate is always very good for lunch with spectacular views. The Fish and Chip cafe on The Wharf Road is excellent also as is the beach cafe at Godrevy Point . The piece de resistance however is eating locally purchased pasties on the Wharf looking out across the Harbour views and generally watching the world go by. For a shortish walk, park at the National Trust car park and Beach Cafe near Godrevy Point and walk along the cliff past the Light House to see the Seals basking in the cove ( counted up to 50 this year) also you can always see Kestrels hovering along the cliff tops, a beautiful walk." V. & E. Clarke
- Testimonial, May 2015Testimonial “"We had a really great week in Kara.”
It is the second time we have stayed there in 5 months. The TV size and Sky HD+ package, together with the most comfy master bedroom bed, make it a place we plan to return to as often as possible! The fixtures and fittings and cleanliness are both 5 star too. These things are all especially important out of season, when you are likely to spend more time in your accommodation. Where else in England but West Cornwall could you take a wonderful stroll on the sand in the middle of February?! We did at Godrevy. There is a super little cafe in the car park there too. If you want the best breakfast/brunch in St Ives look no further than the Cornish Deli in Chapel Street. All in all, we voted the week 10 out of 10 on the drive home!" B. Wills
- Testimonial, May 2015Testimonial “"Kara is a well-appointed apartment and is in a good location for St Ives and Porthminster Beech.”
St Ives is a beautiful holiday destination, enjoyed by my whole family. St Ives is the jewel but we also enjoyed Marazion. The food at Alba, The Mermaid and, in particular, The Waves was very good." M. Harvey
- Testimonial, Apr 2015Testimonial “"Had an excellent week in St Ives staying in the Kara apartment.”
The apartment was excellent and the booking process worked flawlessly. The location was perfect for touring the region from Padstow down to the Lizard. Porthcurno beach on a sunny day is as good as any Californian beach and the theatre and telegraph museum are definitely worth a visit. Eden project was far better than I imagined it would be. The planting has matured and was at its best in July." P. Dhugga
- Testimonial, Mar 2015Testimonial “"Kara was wonderful, everything we needed.”
The flat was warm comfortable and you had thought of everything DVDs', books, games etc. Beds, very comfortable and clean. Gallinas Point is very nice, and you feel very secure. The Eden Project was wonderful,we traveled to many places. St Ives town is lovely, with many little unusual shops. Plenty of restaurants,we ate at the Seafood restaurant in town, excellent food and service, people very friendly. We really had a great time. Thankyou, very well organised from booking to leaving." J Beckdale
- Testimonial, Mar 2015Testimonial “"We had a fabulous holiday.”
The apartment was ideally located being just a short walk into st Ives centre and yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The standard of the apartment was fabulous. It had most creature comforts. The secure parking was such a bonus so you didn't have to worry about where to park!" H.Moore
- Testimonial, Mar 2015Testimonial “"I have to say the apartment itself was beautiful with the level of cleanliness exceptional and it was so comfortable - it far exceeded our expectations - a real 'home-from-home'.”
