    It really is a great apartment with everything you need to have a great time, especially when you visit out of season as we do in both Spring and Autumn.

Gallinas Point Apartments are perched above St Ives town with lovely views across Porthminster Beach and beyond to Godrevy Lighthouse and offer luxury self catering with secure parking.

Taking its name from the Cornish word for "love", Kara boasts secure parking and is just minutes from St Ives' picturesque harbour, Porthminster beach and the renowned Porthminster Beach Café. A stunning first floor apartment, the striking interior has been furnished with the latest in entertainment and superb attention to detail. Holidaying here, guests' will find a wealth of activities to fill their days and a wide choice of golden sandy beaches and quality restaurants nearby. Highlights - Kara is located in Gallinas Point apartments in St. Ives and is on the first floor. - Arrival 5pm, departure 9am. - Children welcome. - Regret no pets. No smoking. You may find that you choose not to use your car during your stay as there is just so much to see and do within walking distance of this luxury apartment. It is in such a great location - Porthminster Beach is just five minutes walk away and there are further beaches, shops and art galleries within striking distance. Living Area Living Area An red leather suite and black design chair and stool nicely contrast the neutral theme of the décor in the living area which is open plan to the kitchen. There is a 42" LCD TV with Sky movies and sport, a DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, complimentary WiFi and XBox One to keep all the family entertained, whatever the weather. A selection of books, board games and DVD's are also available A welcome guide in the apartment provides a wealth of information about St Ives and West Cornwall. A favourite suggestion for the energetic is to explore the South West Coastal Path. This stretches in both directions from St Ives, taking in the rugged coastline westwards to Zennor and the super sandy coves of Carbis Bay and Porthkidney Sands towards Hayle. Here a pint of Tribute at The Badger is a must! Dining Room The separate dining room comfortably seats four people for you to enjoy the wonderful dishes that an inspired cook can create with local produce and fresh fish harvested from the sea. If you prefer to dine out, then the acclaimed Porthminster Cafe is just a short walk away. One of the best beach cafés in Cornwall, and a favourite of our guests', this is not to be missed. Right on the beach, you have to try it to believe it. Other recommended eateries in St Ives are the Seafood Cafe, Blas Burgerworks and The AA rosette awarded Alba on the harbour front. Further afield why not try a leisurely breakfast at Godrevy Cafe in Gwithian or Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" at Watergate Bay? Kitchen Kitchen The kitchen is open plan and beautifully finished with 'Neff' appliances to re-affirm the high quality of this accommodation. Built seamlessly into the graphite units, there is a microwave, electric hob, oven and dishwasher. Guests' will find all the modern gadgets and kitchen implements that one would expect from a high specification self catering apartment, including a coffee machine, toaster and kettle. There is a separate utility room off the hallway with a washer/dryer, ironing board and iron. Sleeping Bedroom One with En-suite Bedroom one of Kara is beautifully furnished and has a luxurious king size bed, large wardrobe, two bedside tables with lamps and a chest of drawers. Guests' will have plenty of storage space for their stay in this self-catering home from home. One of the highlights is the direct access to the decked balcony, step out for an early morning breakfast or simply draw back the curtains and let the balmy Cornish sun stream in. This bedroom has a fabulous en-suite with the latest sanitary-ware, heated towel rail and walk-in shower. Bedroom Two Bedroom two is located close to the main bathroom and is fitted with twin beds, a bedside table, wardrobes and drawers providing plenty of storage for guests visiting at any time of the year. With a high definition 19" LCD TV with DVD player, guests' may be tempted to stay in bed and relax. As an added bonus Sky is available in this room, having been linked through from the living area. High quality bed linen is provided and a cot and high chair are provided for younger guests. We do ask that you provide your own bedding for the travel cot. Bathrooms Bathroom One The main family bathroom is adjacent to bedroom two off the hallway. This room exudes contemporary pizazz with stunning black tiles, white Italian-style sanitary-ware and sleek chrome fittings. There is a WC, wash basin, bath with overhead shower and screen, mirror and a chrome ladder heated towel rail. This fabulous bathroom will enable you to relax and enjoy the luxury you desire, especially after a long, hot sunny day on the beach or springtime walk along the cliffs. Bathroom Two The en-suite to bedroom one is also fully tiled with those same beautiful black ceramics. The sanitary-ware is white Italian-style and the fittings are again in chrome. There is a WC, wash basin, shower enclosure with power shower and a vanity mirror. A selection of high quality towels are provided for each guest and complimentary White Company toiletries are provided in each bathroom. Outside Balcony The large glass doors from the living area and master bedroom open onto a delightful decked balcony furnished with two bistro tables and four chairs. Here, guests' can enjoy a morning breakfast, leisurely lunch or an evening tipple while basking in the sun. This is a perfect, peaceful spot what ever time of day, to just sit back and relax.
