Hawkes Point
Hawkes Point is at the eastern end of the delightful Carbis Bay beach. At low tide you can reach Porth Kidney Sands, a quiet and evocative beach that is still part of Carbis Bay. Porthkidney Sands stretches as far as the Hayle Estuary and is backed by sand dunes and unspoilt by buildings. The views across the beach to Godrevy create panoramic images which have been the inspiration of many artists including the well-known artist John Miller. This is a walk not to be missed by any visitor to the area.
