The property offers three well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, sleeping up to six guests (plus one infant), a downstairs cloakroom, utility room, and a large open plan kitchen/living/diner with underfloor heating, perfect for a luxury holiday for both families and couples/friends on holiday together. The open plan kitchen/living/diner is ideal for entertaining as everyone can feel part of the celebrations, nobody closed away in separate rooms.
This room offers luxurious soft furnishings and comfortable seating for six guests, flooded with natural light through the patio doors. After the sun has set, the whole family or group can lose themselves in their favourite film on a large 43” TV. If you enjoy creating culinary masterpieces while on holiday the property offers a contemporary well-appointed kitchen featuring everything a chef could desire. You’ll love the stylish stainless steel under double oven with four gas hobs, fridge freezer, and dishwasher all from AEG. A microwave, four slice toaster, coffee machine, stainless steel double sink and plenty of space to prepare your tasty treats, means you’ll have everything you need and more to look after the whole family. To maximise your time having fun on your holiday, a utility room is located next to the bathroom on the first floor.
Full of timesaving essentials, this space includes storage cupboards, a Bush washer/dryer, airier, iron and ironing board. An enclosed landscaped garden provides plenty of space for the family to play, or the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine or a delicious Cornish cream tea on the patio. Picturesque views from almost every window towards historic tin mines and Rosewall Hill, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty owned by the National Trust, set the perfect back drop to enjoy dining alfresco, or a barbeque with friends and family. A walk up to Rosewall Hill, which attracts wildlife such as deer and rare birds, will reward you with panoramic views of the Cornish coastline towards St Ives. As well as being perfect for nature enthusiasts, Rosewall Retreat is located close to public footpaths and the South West Coast Path, which also makes it ideal for small groups of walkers. The property also offers the convenience of off-street parking for two vehicles for the duration of your stay. Rosewall Retreat is just a 20-minute walk into St Ives town centre, which is home to the Tate Art Gallery, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and five beautiful beaches.
The property is also only a ten-minute walk to Leach Pottery. For guests who would prefer not to walk back up the hill from St Ives, there is a bus stop nearby and readily available taxis. Its location makes it the perfect base from which to explore not only St Ives, but also the wider area, including Penzance, Newlyn, Zennor and Mousehole, which are just a short drive away. If you wish to combine the tranquillity of the Cornish countryside, but still be near St Ives and the coast, then Rosewall Retreat is for you.

Our stay was wonderful and we enjoyed all that St Ives had to offer during the festival, with lots of activities on our doorstep.
The holiday let had everything we needed and a local bus to Penzance at the end of the row. Thank you for a great stay again. We will be back.
We found this holiday let to be spacious (for 4 of us), comfortable and a good base for exploring the area.
The property itself was clean and well-presented, making for a relaxing stay. There were a couple of small downsides. The towels provided had some marks on them and didn’t smell very fresh, which was a little disappointing. Waste disposal is also managed with different coloured bin bags, but no black bags were supplied for general rubbish. As it’s self-catering, we were told we needed to bring these ourselves – it would have been helpful to know this before arrival. The back of the house sits on a busy road, so traffic noise can be heard from the twin bedroom and bathroom. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth being aware of. Overall, a good place to stay, well located for exploring the area.
We really enjoyed staying at the property.
It was very comfortable for what we needed. However we did feel that the advertised parking at the property was misleading. We were advised that there would be space to park outside the property but for much of the week, this was taken up by the occupants of the property next door who due to the road layout do not have space to park outside their property. Fortunately for us, we only had one car with us so this was not a problem, but could have been to other guests if bringing more than one car as space in the private road was limited. The walk into St Ives is about 20 minutes (but longer on the way back as all up hill) and in some sections you are required to walk on a busy road with no footpath. This was too much for my elderly mother in law. However there are regular buses from outside the nearby Methodist church which go to St Ives or Penzance. Taxis were also available but don't bother trying to book an Uber as they were never available whenever we tried. The road behind the property is extremely busy and took some getting used to. You could particularly hear it in the twin bedroom. The residents at the property next door were playing music very loudly when we first arrived, and we heard some shouting- but that all stopped after about 15 minutes and we didn't hear them again whilst we were staying there. Overall though, the property was lovely and there will always be some noise in the Summer when it is warm and everyone has their windows open.
