“Beautiful cottage in a great location, at a good price.”

Very well decorated, fully furnished with all that you need for an enjoyable self catering holiday. The beds were particularly comfortable and the cottage was nice and warm ensuring a peaceful nights sleep. We enjoyed visiting the local beach which was a short walk down the hill, the central position to other attractions ensured travel time was a minimum . Thank you for the welcome pack it was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends , many thanks and see you again, hopefully soon

“Lovely flat, as described.”

Very clean and comfortable and pretty furnishings. We really enjoyed the sea view. The TV was irritatingly intermittent - an updated BT box might help? Regarding small details, the can- opener and kitchen scissors are too well- used and need replacing- it's the small things that catch you out in holiday 'let's'. All in all, a great place to stay.

“The apartment was lovely, we would have had a problem with the fuses for the ...”

The apartment was lovely, we would have had a problem with the fuses for the appliances if our son wasnt with us as to turn them on he had to stand on a chair to reach them and the cooker was complicated to use,but that is my personal view,i am not very tall so i couldnt reach the cupboards to get crockery out nor could i reach the microwave nevertheless we had a great holiday and the beds are so comfortable the shower was easy to access

“Beautiful apartment.”

Lovely comfy beds & bedding. Delightful bathroom with good shower, comfy settees & good sea view. Own parking space which was a bonus plus rotary close line in the garden. All needs catered for. We had a problem with the dinning chairs which was dealt with promptly. The lack of a bread bin was a problem as we had to use one of the drawers & no cupboard space for food. The kitchen bin under the sink was also very awkward to use. A waste bin in each bedroom would have been a bonus. The floor didn't seem clean & we had to clean the bedroom drawers as we found hairs in one. Otherwise it was a lovely apartment which we would be more than happy to return to & recommend to our friends.

Thank you for the very detailed feedback, The kitchen table and chairs were changed four days later and we will add waste paper bins to the bedrooms. There is a bread bin in the cupboard. It’s a bit futuristic being expandable and covered with a clear Perspex cover so I understand why its use may not be immediately apparent We hope that you stay with us again in the future Property Owner

“We overall had a lovely stay here.”

The property was as expected from the photos and with a nice view of the sea! The beds and sofa were really comfy and the welcome treats were a lovely touch. The property itself was nice, comfortable and overall clean although we did have a few issues which we expressed to Carbis Bay Holidays who were quick to respond. Our toddler had dirty feet after crawling on the floor for a short time when we first arrived which wasn’t great so we ended up buying a mop and cleaning it ourselves. The highchair hadn’t been cleaned properly either which made us reluctant to use the travel cot due to cleanliness concerns. It is great that these items are available to use but please make sure that they are cleaned thoroughly and are presentable for the next guests as it’s not a great first impression. It was also inconvenient that the dishwasher was out of use for our stay but these things happen and we appreciated the good will gesture from the owner. Also bear in mind if travelling with mobile babies and toddlers that there are a few steps in the property.

“Lovely little ground floor apartment in a good location.”

Well-equipped kitchen (incl a dishwasher and a washing machine, though information we received described it as washer/dryer and we couldn’t find instructions drying), nice bathroom, comfortable beds and sofas, good wifi and TV (but only basic package for those who prefer Sky). Off road parking right outside is a bonus. Great location - handy for local transport in and out of St Ives on foot or via the bus, train and the 'Coaster' bus. There’s a large Tesco for groceries 5 minutes walk away and it’s a 20 minute walk to Carbis Bay beach but a steep walk back up the hill. We would definitely recommend Atlantic Waves and Carbis Bay and would return.

“A great little ground floor apartment and a good base for exploring.”

The apartment has everything you need for your stay. Carbis Bay beach is beautiful and only a short walk down the hill - beware, its a steep walk back up. Dedicated car parking space, which is great. The coastal path to St Ives is a lovely walk and there's a regular bus service too.

“We were really impressed with the apartment.”

The apartment was clean and well stocked with all the things you'd need for a comfortable holiday. The little extras were really appreciated, for example the boules, kite and body boards in the cupboards. The apartment was easy to get to, park at, and a very reasonable distance from the beach and local facilities. The only minor things we noticed were that when we arrived certain plates and cutlery had bits of food remaining on them, so I assume it was the last occupant had not cleaned them very well, but worth adding to your check list. The second is that there is only a very small (Parmesan?) cheese grater, a full size one would be most useful. Also, we brought our own plug extensions which was fortunate, as there were not enough free sockets in the apartment for extra electronics like our laptops. Saying that though, this is one of the best places we've stayed in, and would certainly return!

“We had a lovely stay at Atlantic Waves.”

The property was perfect with everything we needed - well-equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher and a washing machine), nice bathroom, comfy beds and sofas, good wifi and TV and easy parking right outside. We were also really impressed with its location - so handy for transport in and out of St Ives on foot or via the train and for the 'Coaster' bus, close to the large Tesco and a (steep but manageable) walk to Carbis Bay beach - or options to pay for parking closer to the beach. We had our car with us but it was often much easier not to use it. Highly recommend Atlantic Waves and Carbis Bay.

“This is a lovely property, just outside St.”

Ives. It is on a very step gradient to be able to walk to the train station, but easy accessible by car. The apartment is small and modern, with everything catered for and we had a lovely few days. The only negative was that the bedrooms are close the main road and you can hear the traffic in the mornings which was quite loud. The apartment close by on day 1 was having renovation work which was very noisy and not relaxing, however I contacted Carbis holidays had a very prompt response and there after no further noise, so thank you.

“The apartment is lovely and well equipped.”

The only little niggle was that the fan unit behind the sofa is quite noisy and couldn't be turned off and there was a lot of noise from the flat above (but that can't be helped). Fully enjoyed our break away and would return.

“Beautiful apartment over looking Carbis Bay.”

Had everything needed for a family holiday. Location was excellent for visiting St Ives only a 25 minute walk or a quick bus ride. Path to the beach is very steep so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Lovely little garden attached to the property and it felt like a real home from home.

Bathroom The bathroom is conveniently located in-between the two bedrooms at the rear of the property. A light and airy room thanks to a frosted window letting natural light in. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary.
