    “This was our second visit and it was disappointing compared to our first visit.”

    Fan doesn’t work in bathroom, shower in en-suite had no pressure. Changeover day for laundry missing towels for our last week. The bed was very uncomfortable with 2 sheet covers causing lumps and discomfort.

    We’re sorry to hear the stay at the apartment didn’t meet your expectations. We weren’t aware of the fan not working in the bathroom, if you had let us know, we would’ve got someone out to fix this right away (we wouldn’t want mould to grow due to condensation). We only replace the towels & linen that are in the basket during changeover day - we’ve had confirmation this did happen on changeover day and any towels in the basket were replaced accordingly. Golden Sands is a fabulous luxury seaside apartment located in idyllic St Ives. Enviably located within a short walk of Carbis Bay beach, this stunning holiday home is sure to impress. Sumptuous interiors make this a superb haven to return to after a hard days exploring. Sit back, relax and plan the next days exciting adventures whilst enjoying the gorgeous golden sunsets from your dining table. Parking - One allocated parking space is provided within the gated car park. Living Area You are greeted into the property with a spacious entrance hallway which leads into the living area. The living area really is the heart of the home, where you can enjoy sociable open plan living. Incredibly comfortable two and three seater sofas are provided with a large oak coffee table, oak side table and reading lamp. Throughout the property local art can be appreciated, helping to create a real seaside atmosphere. For your entertainment, an LG 37” LCD TV is provided with Sky including Sky Entertainment package, Nintendo Wii including Wii Fit and selection of games, DVD player with a range of films and complimentary Wi-Fi. A selection of programmed mood lighting helps to create the right ambiance, whatever the occasion. Dining Area The dining area takes full advantage of the wonderful sea views through the full length floor to ceiling windows. A glass table with four dark grey leather seats are provided, along with a floor lamp and book case which houses a great selection of cookery, local area and holiday reading books, board games, DVD’s, CD’s and iPod docking station. If you like to enjoy the delights of local cuisine whilst on holiday, then St Ives is the perfect location with its fantastic array of restaurants. Why not try Casa Romano, a lovely Italian restaurant located just 10 minutes walk from your apartment? Utility Located off the main hallway, the utility cupboard offers lots of ample storage for suitcases and all of your beach gear. You can also find a box full of beach toys which are provided for your use during your stay. The iron, ironing board, clothes airer, high chair and travel cot can all be found here too. Kitchen The contemporary kitchen at Golden Sands makes cooking a real pleasure, with generous storage within the soft close gloss units and ample work top space. Fantastically appointed with NEFF appliances, including a 5 burner hob with extractor hood above and integrated washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven-grill, fridge and freezer. You can find all the utensils you could require along with little extras such as a coffee machine and food mixer. Two dark grey leather bar stools can be found under the breakfast bar, great for perching and talking to the designated chef. Sleeping Bedroom One with En-suite Attention to detail has really been taken in ensuring the bedrooms are just as well-appointed as the living areas. The master bedroom is very spacious with excellent storage found within the built-in mirrored wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside drawers. The king-size bed with under bed storage is impeccably dressed with crisp white Egyptian cotton bed linen, throw and cushions, making it very tempting to jump straight in. Additional lighting is provided by the bedside lamps and directional reading lights mounted just above the bed. A wall-mounted 32" Smart TV with built-in DVD player is provided, along with a tall mirror, a Bluetooth radio alarm clock that is also a smartphone charger and hairdryer. A private sun trap courtyard can be accessed off the master bedroom, great for escaping for a quiet read. The en-suite to the master bedroom is also fully tiled with striking sandstone ceramics. This room also boasts a large shower cubicle with rainfall power shower, WC, freestanding wash basin, heated chrome towel rail, shaver point and free standing mirror. Towels and complimentary toiletries are provided for each guest. Bedroom Two The spacious second bedroom at Golden Sands is located off the lounge area with a window which looks to the side of The Sands. The twin beds are also beautifully dressed, ensuring guests receive a sound nights sleep. Storage is provided within the double wardrobe, a tall chest of drawers, and large bedside drawers. A 25" Smart TV, reading lamp, hairdryer and mirror are all provided for your use. Family Bathroom The spacious family bathroom comprises of a bath with overhead shower, free standing wash basin and WC. Fully tiled with luxurious sandstone tiles, sleek chrome fittings including heated towel rail and shaver point and a wall mounted mirror. A bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel are provided for each guest, together with complimentary White Company toiletries in each bathroom. Outside Golden Sands offers an enclosed private courtyard which can be accessed from the master bedroom. This little suntrap is a great place for drying off beach gear and for sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine or a good holiday book.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.
