Our 2nd time at Ocean Blue .

On entry as before, the apartment was immaculately presented and the welcome pack of treats shows the level of detail from the wonderful hosts John and Maggie . There is nothing more that you could wish for , to stay in high quality accommodation in Carbis Bay / St ives . Great location, spotlessly clean , fantastic tech , comfortable and mesmerising views from the living room . We are already planning our return for next year . Amy and I, love Cornwall in every way and staying at Ocean Blue does make our holiday complete . Was a pleasure to meet you John , see you next year .

This is the third or fourth stay at the 5Star Gold award Ocean Blue Carbis Bay, as always the Owner John can not do enough to make your stay a comfortable experience, the apartment smells fresh and extra modern with very tasteful decor with all the expensive furniture and modern technology.

The view through the two French doors has amazing sea views. The property is very cosy and have everything you need for your stay. Lovely location for a train journey to St Ives, or you can walk to in about 20 minutes. There is a bus stop literally outside for both ways. And a lovely fish and chips called Becks a very short drive away. Many thanks to John and Maggie for everything If able to next year we will be returning. Keith and Berry

we have had a wonderful time here and enjoyed some fantastic walks. Your place is beautiful, absolutely spotless, and the views from the windows are lovely. Anne and Bob next door were also so helpful with their advice and recommendations. They sent us to Godrevy where we saw the seals definitely not to be missed! We walked from Porthcurno to Minack Theatre and followed the coastal path with panoramic views to Land's End and back. we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. A fabulous apartment, bright, fresh and immaculately clean.

Everything is high spec and good quality with well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The large comfy bed is just what is needed at the end of the day. Lovely sea views of Carbis Bay and beyond. Would highly recommend a stay at this fantastic apartment.

Excellent 5star property.

Sea view, superbly clean and maintained to top class standards. Conveniently situated for visiting South Cornwall, close to coastal path. The owners have gone above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible Anyone thinking of visiting this area then this is the accommodation for you!

The property is second to none.

The most amazing place to stay. This was our sixth visit so that says it all. Holidaying in Cornwall is the best place to be but having an apartment with everything you require and more is the icing on the cake. Cant recommend it enough. We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Ocean Blue in Carbis Bay, and I have to say—it exceeded every expectation.

The apartment offers excellent facilities that made our time there both comfortable and relaxing, but what truly stood out was the cleanliness. It was *exceptional*. I’ve stayed in many places that claim five-star standards, but Ocean Blue is the **first** to genuinely deliver on that promise when it comes to cleanliness. Every surface, corner, and crevice was immaculate—it felt like stepping into a brand-new space. That alone is the main reason I’d choose to stay again without hesitation. If you’re searching for a place that combines luxury with genuine attention to detail, Ocean Blue is a rare find. Looking forward to the next visit already.

We have stayed at John and Maggie's 5 Star apartment twice now 2024 and 2025 , and both times found John to be the so perfect caring owner.

Lovely located apartment is Ocean Blue, very modern and luxurious very tasteful decorated, spotless and every amenity for a very special stay. Close to a very nice clean beach and a lovely walk into St Ives from location Carbis Bay, there’s a bus stop just yards from apartment both sides of road. And a train by the beach in Carbis Bay goes into St Ives taking in the glorious coast line on the way. We found this apartment a homely feeling. Parking allocated to the Apartment off the road. Panoramic view of the Blue Sea from the Juliet balcony two French doors We had such a nice comfortable stay, will definitely think about rebooking in the near future. The apartment is second to none.

It has everything you need and more. Ultra modern , spotless throughout, amazing parking and tremendous location with seaviews. Would definitely recommend.

Ocean Blue is without doubt the best property we have ever stayed in.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, brimming with technology and has everything provided for a perfect holiday. The location is great with fabulous views and in easy reach of great places to visit including St Michael’s Mount, The Minack Theatre and St Ives via the coast path.

Lovely clean and very high tech apartment.

Bus stop just out side and train station a short walk away ideal if you don't want to use the car. I found the bath a little high to get in and out even with the assistance of a grab rail.You could hear the cars from the main road going over two manhole covers but we still managed to enjoy our stay.

Beautiful apartment.

Very clean and well equipped. Near main road but very quiet. The view from dining area amazing. Had to contact John and he dealt with our enquiry promptly. Followed by call next day to ensure all was ok. Local bus service excellent. Bus stop very close by. We would definitely return if ever in the area again

We loved our recent stay at Ocean Blue.

The accommodation was absolutely pristine and in superb order throughout. The communication from the property owners was excellent and there were some lovely touches like complimentary milk, apple juice and biscuits waiting for us when we arrived. The location is ideal as it is on a bus route, close to the coastal railway station and coastal walks, which meant we didn't need to use our car at all. All in all it was a wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning.

This was our second stay at Ocean Blue and we were glad to see it has maintained the exceptionally high standards seen on our last stay.

A beautifully spotless apartment, very tastefully decorated with great, high quality equipment and technology throughout. It is ideally positioned with a bus stop outside for easy access to St Ives, and also with a walk down a (very!) steep hill to the golden sands of Carbis Bay and also the railway station. The view from the rear of the apartment over the bay is lovely. Yet again we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this fantastic apartment and would love to return. Many thanks to John and Maggie once again!

The property was fantastic.

It was beyond brilliant with all the gadgets and tech for everything which was all so easy to use. I have never stayed in anywhere else that had such high end fittings and furnishings. It was superbly clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. The view was amazing from the double doors, out to godrevy lighthouse. Superbly positioned to walk into St ives or to lelant, but if you need it the bus stop outside takes you everywhere-st ives, hayle, truro and the double decker goes all round the coast. Just an amazing stay.

This is an excellent property and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

This place is amazing, very clean and very comfortable.

The bed is really comfy and my husband and I really had a good night sleep. This place is home away from home. Everything that we need is provided and so much more. This place really exceeded my expectation. A 5 star accommodation. The location is great and the parking is a bonus. A big thank you to John and Maggie for sharing this wonderful place to us and for the surprise goodies that they provided. I highly recommend this place to friends and family and will definitely book again if we go back to the area.

What can I say, a fantastic apartment and with all the extra touches it made our holiday.

We travelled to many places and it was always good to go back to our apartment as it was such a lovely place to be. Good views, all the mod cons, a good location as was close to the station and also a bus stop direct outside taking you to St Ives. I will certainly stay here again and recommend to others. There was gifts of choc / apple juice / biscuits and also a pint of milk in the fridge. Thank you again for such a lovely clean and modern place to stay.

Another fantastic relaxing stay in Ocean Blue Carbis Bay.

The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated, the attention to detail is second to none. It’s got everything you’ll need for your holiday. It is always clean and fresh when you walk in. The views from the French window is lovely overlooking the sea. The buses run frequently all over Cornwall and the bus stops just outside. There is only positives about this property so much so we’ll definitely be going back. The owners John and Maggie are very friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic week in Ocean Blue definitely had the WOW factor as soon as you opened the door.

The views from the sitting room across to the sea and beyond were lovely especially with the double doors open. It had everything you could think of to suit your needs and more besides. The Dyson air conditioning units in the bedroom and sitting room were a blessing as they were programmed to come on automatically when the apartment got too hot and cooled it down in no time.The blinds in all the rooms were operated by the touch of a button, lights came on when you walked into the hall and bathroom. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. We felt very comfortable staying here and didn’t want to come home.The bus stopped right outside so we didn’t have to use the car as they ran very frequently. The train station was about a 5 minute walk. There is a supermarket and fish and chip shop just down the road. The fish and chips were lovely . The owners John and Maggie text the day before we arrived and the day before we went home to wish us safe journeys and if there was anything needed to get in touch. We have already booked again for next year and can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Blue.

What a beautifully modern and tastefully decorated flat, spotlessly clean and fragrant. Everything has been thought of, from the convenient high tech (with Alexa controlling the lights,etc) to the high spec equipment such as the Dyson fan and hairdryer. The view from the living room out onto the bay is beautiful. The flat's position on the main road is so convenient with the bus stop right outside - frequent daily buses to St Ives meant we could largely forget about the car which was safely parked for the week in the allocated bay within the front courtyard. The Gannet Inn, also just across the road, is also very convenient and provided lovely meals in a comfortable environment. Beautiful Carbis Bay beach is a short walk down a very steep hill - allow more time to walk back up - it's really quite a climb! Thank you to John and Maggie for their kind messages just before our arrival and departure. Overall an excellent holiday for myself and my husband on our first visit to Cornwall. We really look forward to returning soon!

Ocean Blue really lived up to its name with gorgeously themed interiors and all the creature comforts you could wish for.

John and Maggie have such fabulous attention to detail which made our stay perfect and wishing to stay longer. On arrival, we were met by the wonderful smell of lavender in the apartment and a fantastic choice of music courtesy of AirPlay in every room. The Cornish biscuits, apple juice and milk left in the fridge was a welcome sight - so too the plentiful supply of tea, coffee etc and state of the art appliances. Our return trip to this property was fabulous.

After the winter blue's to walk into this immaculate, bright, high tech apartment was a pill in itself. We highly recommend. Can't wait to return ourselves, for longer next time.

The spec of the apartment is incredible with every aspect of your stay catered for. The cleanliness and attention to detail are second to none - no stone is left unturned.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as good as the first.

Everything was of top quality, the owners have thought of everything to make your stay home from home. The cleanliness was spotless the view from the living room is stunning. The kitchen facilities are superb. We tried to book for next year but it was fully booked on the weeks we needed. This does not surprise me as I would recommend this property to everyone.

9th to 23rd..This is the best self catering apartment we have stayed in and would highly recommend it. The view from the lounge is fantastic. The fixtures and fittings are all top quality. Everything is state of the art technology, mood lighting, great sound system, top quality kitchen everything you could wish for for a comfortable stay. We will definitely stay here again.

What a place, what a view! We loved spending the week at Ocean Blue . The apartment was spotless and the fixtures and fittings all feel brand new and we loved the tech, especially the music in every room .The view from the living room is fabulous and the parking space is a very welcome bonus. We've stayed in a fair few s/c apartments and Ocean Blue is by far the best.

Absolutely brilliant so clean everything you wanted

Our stay was wonderful, the property is ideally located near St Ives and many beaches which make a good walk.

After a long day of travelling and sight seeing coming back to this luxury apartment enabled us to relax on our honeymoon. John and Maggie have us all the details of what to do if we had any issues. We have caught the Cornwall bug and will definitely be coming back soon!

Well equipped with everything we could ever need to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely clean, soft bed linen and such a comfortable bed! Well located for the beach, stunning coastal walks and in easy reach of a selection of places to eat and drink. The local buses stopped right outside, and the train station was just a short walk away. Having an allocated parking spot at the front of the property made unloading and loading so easy and convenient. Overall an absolutely top-notch place to stay. Very highly recommended!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Blue and found the accommodation to be very clean, comfortable & luxurious.

Everything has been well thought out including Sky TV, iPads, sound system throughout and a well appointed kitchen. We found Ocean Blue to be very well located with short walk to Carbis Bay beach and the train station for the one stop into St Ives itself. We would recommend highly and would definitely stay again when returning to Cornwall.

State of the Art escape

"I stayed here May 2021 and upon entry to the property was blown away by how lovely it was laid out. The kitchen is kitted out with the latest vintage Smeg appliances and I must give 5 stars to the coffee machine alone. Blinds, lights sounds all centrally controlled by Amazon Alexa and Ipad was very impressive. The view out of the sitting room window is something else and the owner has clearly thought of everything as a pair of binoculars is available to view the lighthouse and boats active in the bay. Both TV's in the property are exceptional and linked up to Sky and Netflix. And the IPAD has Spotify installed and is linked via Airplay to the superb Denon sound system which can be directed to any room in the property. I had a lovely bath while listening to some Nightwish and Grieg. I haven't even mentioned the quality of the sitting and sleeping furniture. The sofa is very comfy and the bed is like a blanket of clouds, so soft and luxurious.This is by FAR the best property I've stayed in and would not hesitate in re-booking here again.Hats of the the owner, they have clearly thought a lot about the look and feel of this property. We have had a wonderful week in your holiday home, the accommodation is fantastically equipped to the standards of a 5 star hotel!

We have found no problem with the lighting and the fact that the hall and bathroom lights switch themselves off after a short time is a very useful feature. It was a pleasure communicating with you and we hope to return in the future.

Well, where to start?

Everything in this apartment is of the highest standard definitely 5* + we absolutely loved the music in each room, catered to our taste and loved having a bath listening to my audio book through the bathroom speakers. Opening the blinds to the spectacular view in the morning is breathtaking. Loved everything and will definitely return.

'Wow' - the owners have really catered for every personal need + the apartment is amazing.

It's matched by the sea-view from the balcony which is fantastic. Would definitely stay again and would happily recommend to family + friends. We've had a fabulous time. Thank you x
