Lovely apartment in a fantastic location.

Clean, comfortable & well maintained- equipped with everything you need and more! Loved that we could sit outside and enjoy the view in all weathers as the decked area is partially covered. Good location for walk or train to St Ives and easy access to main routes for days out - lots within a short drive. A few nice restaurants within walking distance up the hill - Romanos was our favourite . Highly recommend Sapphire.

What an amazing place to stay - we enjoyed every moment of being there - the terrace is amazing, we saw lightning from a distance over the sea, dolphins, seals and also a firework display - in one week!

Very handy for the train into St Ives or one day we went to Penzance - great parking and all the things you might need found in the apartment. The beach is beautiful and not as overcrowded as St Ives - we made lots of fab memories :) We would not hesitate in booking again and the service from Carbis Bay apartments was excellent too. Stayed as a family of 4.

Lovely property which we have stayed in before.

Well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Loved the outside decked area, stunning views and for once we were lucky with the weather which was great all week. Only criticism was that the shower cubicle in the main bathroom had black mould / mildew in the top corner which could have been easily treated and cleaned, and the stairwell leading down to the entrance door is looking a bit grubby. Also the complimentary toiletries and arrival gifts - juice, scones etc that we have been used to receiving in the past seem to have stopped. Just a pint of milk now. Small gripe but it's the little things that add that special touch and make you feel welcome.

Love this apartment.

This is our 5th visit and never disappoints. Tried to book for two weeks next year in November but sadly no bookings being taken for that month. Will have to see if we can revise our plans. Highly recommend this apartment .

This is our fourth time to Carbis Bay, second time staying in the Carbis Beach Apartments.

The location is perfect for the beach, train and hotel if you fancy something to eat or drink there. Sapphire was lovely, very clean and comfortable also well equipped, although we thought leaving only 3 wash tablets for the dish washer strange, the other apartments we've stayed in had supplies under the sink which we replaced if all gone, I guess not everyone does that. We also had trouble locating the apartment on arrival, even though we've stayed in another one before, the instructions I'd printed for arrival with the codes etc doesn't explain you have to go to the far end of the car park, we weren't the only ones with this problem, however once we'd found the apartment and entered it, it was lovely to be greeted with warmth from the constant 17 degrees. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return to Carbis Beach Apartments in the future.

We have been coming to Sapphire for many years and in many ways it is our home from home.

We are really sad we cannot book it for next year as it is not available, it is in an ideal position for seeing the whole beach so you can always see what is happening and get down there very quickly. The property has adequate crockery and kitchen accoutrements more than anywhere else we have stayed and is spacious and comfortable. We really hope that it comes back onto the books for hire.

Fully equipped, spacious and comfortable and well positioned overlooking the beach.

No complaints whatsoever and we were fully satisfied with Sapphire and delighted to have stayed there.

This was not the first time staying in Sapphire and definitely will not be the last!

The apartment is well presented, spotlessly clean and a wonderful base to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

We’ve visited Sapphire (and some other apartments in the same complex) several times since around 2010, and it never disappoints.

Perfect for a really relaxing holiday, beautifully clean, well appointed, good WiFi signal, everything you could possibly need in a holiday apartment. Also, good local amenities with a stunning view of the beach, railway station to St Ives or further afield if you want just round the corner. I’ve never bested this lovely holiday experience.

A superb apartment with an incredible view.

Favourite places in Cornwall visited, but always looked forward to returning to Sapphire. A huge part of our holiday experience. Constructively, I would say there is not enough comfortable seating in the lounge area. There were only three of us and we struggled a bit. A couple of knobs missing on the twin room drawers was a bit tricky. I'm sure it was me, but washer/dryer confusing. Understand limitations but a place to park on arrival after a very long journey would be hugely helpful and attractive. Please take this as constructive criticism. We had a fabulous time, always enjoy our holidays with you and can't wait to return.

First rate accommodation, living area stunning with uninterrupted views on Carbis Bay.

Kitchen has all mod cons, supplies or kitchen utensils, flatware, excellent. American style fridge freezer fabulous.

I personally think there should be a towel changeover mid week or an extra set left for use. Also for your information the fridge freezer was wonderful and the ice machine such a bonus but it dispenses the ice at such force - although we used a large glass or bowl to catch in, I fear many people will simply allow it to fall onto the floor and long term damaging may occur. Maybe a note on machine or a cup placed for use?? Also the same sort of issue with the shower screen over the bath. The showers are so wonderfully powerful it is a challenge to keep the water contained. We were respectful but again not sure everyone would be!!

There is no place like this!

It is the best apartment in Carbis bay! The apartment was excellent and very spacy. The view was unforgettable, we sat outdoor on the terrace every morning for breakfast and could also dine "al fresco". There was nothing missing, the kitchen was full-equiped and we even found some beach-accessories. The best thing was to sit on the terrace with a morning cup of tea or coffee and to look at the beach and hear the waves rolling on the sand. We loved it!

Sapphire is one of the best apartments in the Carbis Beach development (and we've stayed in most of the ground floor apartments!

). There is everything you need, and more, provided and the stay was perfect. My only one observation is that the Sky box could do with an upgrade, but that's being picky. We had a lovely stay, thank you.

4th visit to Carbis Beach Apartments and 2nd year in a row at Sapphire which is superb.

Sadly the weather did not play ball for the full week but that’s why an apartments with every possible comfort is great. One small fly in the ointment (nothing to do with apartment) was neighbours who sat outside from early hours right through to around 6:30 am for 2 nights. Actually heard a gentleman shout at them to shut up so wasn’t just us that were affected. That said we will be back.

The property was Immaculately clean and very comfortable with tasteful decor and a very well equipped kitchen.

The location is excellent with outstanding sea views. However the advertised access gate to the beach was permanently locked and unusable, meaning a longer walk round to get to the beach. We would like to thank the owner for all the very thoughtful and delicious things that were left for us. The gift of the pretty Carbis Bay bag was much appreciated too.

My only criticism of a fabulous apartment was at the entrance, two of the outside lights on 2 levels of stairs were not working.

For me this was a safety issue and led us to use torches when we went out in the evenings.

We have stayed in Sapphire previously so were looking forward to arriving but we were very disappointed this time with the cleanliness.

The welcome box of biscuits was smashed up and ripped which didn't give a good impression. The fridge was dirty and had to be cleaned before we could pack our food away, there was hair in the bread bin and some of the glasses were dirty with lipstick marks. The ensuite toilet had hairs on the back of the seat, there were hairs in the bath and the shower in the other bathroom. It did make we worry if the bedsheets hadn't even been changed but I was pleased to see that they had been! The large key fob for the car gate didn't work when we took it out which created hassle getting the car back into the car park and one of the bulbs had gone in the wall lights in the lounge (I found a spare in the drawer near the sink so replaced it myself). I am happy to send some photos over if you provide me with an email address. On a separate note, it would be nice to know before booking or before arrival that there wouldn't be any Christmas decorations up (so we could bring something of our own). We have stayed in a few other apartments in the block over the years in the same week before Christmas and it is nice to have decorations (just a decorated tree) put up before your arrival. Staying at the apartments at Carbis Bay makes a nice Christmas holiday but it kind of killed off the Christmas spirit for our children leaving our decorated house to spend a week in an undecorated apartment only to return back into Christmas again before Christmas day.

Third year at these apartments and each time have tried a different one.

This has been the best so far and have had a perfect week. Just wish it could have been longer. Will definitely back.

Lovely property.

Location perfect and the outside patio area was great. Some of the glasses and crockery were dirty. Need new wine glasses. Remote to the tv ( sky one) is on its last legs. Might be battery? Everything else though was spot on

Our second time at Sapphire, it is well appointed, clean and tidy.

Stunning views and close to all amenities including the coast path and train into St Ives. What more could you want - we shall be back.

The master bedroom had an unpleasant smell, reminiscent of vomit (and here were two odour neutralisers in the room behind the curtains) which was not very nice.

The rest of the property was lovely. Some extra towels would have been nice as they didn’t dry very quickly and as we were showering off sand and salt water daily they were pretty gross towards the end of the stay.

WOW…this apartment blew us away from the moment we walked in, it is everything we dreamed it would be and more!

The views from both the bedroom and lounge are simply breathtaking. Going to sleep and waking up to that view and the sound of the sea from your bed is just priceless. We even saw seals one morning as there are binoculars there for you to use. It’s spacious, has everything you need and immaculately clean. The balcony is huge, fully furnished and private. It’s a great place to sit with a glass of wine just taking in the views. Easy access to beach and bars/restaurants either local at the hotel or by train , which is literally a few minutes walk from the apartment and will take you into St Ives (which is the next stop). Alternatively you can walk there which takes around 25 mins along the coastal path. We had the most amazing holiday here and didn’t want to leave. We would whole heartedly recommend this apartment.

A great holiday house, just one thing to be aware of and one request for improvement.

The lack of a lift for some would be difficult, though the flat is ground floor, there are 2 staircases to negotiate with luggage etc (no lift). The hallway would benefit from some coat hooks, particularly on wet days - there is always one in Cornwall. Loved our time there. Ian and Elaine

A fantastic location, the apartment was generally ok, however I felt that it was let down by the lack of attention to detail, we cooked in and found the lack of a pair of oven gloves dangerous, I even burnt my finger removing an item from the oven, there was only 1 tea towel, sponge scourer, dish cloth etc, it didnt spoil the stay but was an inconvenience, I'm just glad we didnt pay summer season prices, also the lounge door handle was on the dining table when we arrived, again lack of attention to detail, luckily the weather was superb combined with the lack of people more than made up for these minor details

Only niggle was cleanliness. Dust and areas of bathrooms needed a bit more consideration considering the check-in/out times. Overall though would stay again :)

Wow, from the moment you walk through the doors you can see the view from the kitchen, it's just Amazing.

We have stayed at a lot of places by the sea and my husband said that this property beats them all. Just for the space, comfort and obviously the View. The whole holiday was just perfect.

We had a fabulous time and all enjoyed our stay. The apartment was splendid - very spacious and very enjoyable to be staying in. It was almost like a home from home but with a fabulous sea view! The quality of the apartment was outstanding, cleanliness was second to none. We used many of the local restaurants and at Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow were good - the latter being fabulous! Being able to cook ourselves was a bonus too for the evenings when we just wanted to relax, listening to the rolling tide on the beach below. We did the coastal walk from Carbis to St Ives and back and of course up and down the beach at Carbis Bay collecting shells and photographing the patterns made on the sand by the tides. Quite inspirational. We spotted the seal also in the bay but no dolphins despite searching avidly for them throughout each day. As always, upon leaving the area, I personally was sad to have to leave - having had such a relaxing and rejuvenating time there. S. Richards

Couldn't have enjoyed the stay at 'Sapphire' any more! We love this location for its views, the spacious, beautiful and well equipped apartment and the stroll to the beach. Mixed weather this year but lots to do. Saw a seal one evening in the bay. Kayaks on the bay were fabulous for father and daughter. Liked the carvery at The Badger Inn. Best cream teas was at the 'The Tearoom' on St Ives harbor - Fabulous cafe, enjoyed lands end with our very young family as theirs lots aimed at them, Paradise park also great. I'm sure we will be back to Carbis Beach for a 3rd stay! Thank you so much for the arrival gifts too.

We braved the snow to come down to St Ives on Saturday and our reward - a wonderful sta, great walking on the coastal bath and beaches. Tate in St Ives is so much better, with brilliant exhibitions.

Lovely to be back in Sapphire, we have had a lovely week, two days spent at the C Spa, wonderful lava shell treatment. The rest of the time exploring Cornwall, the minach theatr3e is definitely worth a visit and it was a thrill to see all the seals at Mullion cove just around the corner from Godrevy lighthouse, the Rockpool cafe does a lovely lunch whih is close by. Another fabulous break in Carbis Bay - It gets more and more difficult to pack up & leave each time! Sapphire is a beautiful apartment and just about a perfect base for visiting this amazing part of the world. Can't imagine we will ever tire of this part of Cornwall.

On our first visit to Sapphire we were warmly welcomed by Kerry and shown to our apartment and WOW, what an exceptional apartment. Spotlessly clean and fresh, extremely spacious and comfortable, and very well equipped. Good secure flat allocated parking space too. Spent most of our time either on the beach or taking in the amazing views of the bay from the decking area. We were lucky enough to see seals and dolphins on several occasions. We highly recommend ‘The Cornish Arms’ for somewhere to ear, a local pub about a 30minute walk (steep in places) located on the main toad to St Ives, just passed Tesco’s/ Or a 5-minute drive (parking in the side street). Excellent food (with real home-made chips) at very good prices. Also, Beck’s Fish & Chips, again lovely food. We have all had a fantastic week and have been lucky with the weather too. It’s a place we would love to come back to. Thank you.

This is our third visit to Carbis Bay apartments but our first to Sapphire and it certainly is THE BEST! A real home from home, so comfortable. It was lovely to meet the owners a really charming couple. The weather has been kind and been somewhere different every day. Kynance Cove, stunning. Godrevy is the place your most likely to see seals. We are very well travelled all over the world, but Cornwall takes some beating. Hope to be back next year. Thank you! What a lovely holiday and a brilliant apartment. Stayed at Carbis Bay numerous times but Sapphire had to be one of the best! Weather has been very kind and we have been out and about every day, so much to see and do. Thanks for a great time and hopefully we will be back soon.

Our second visit to Carbis Bay apartments. Stunning location and beautiful apartment. Holidays in Cornwall are simply the best! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sapphire and cannot wait to return again. Would certainly recommend La Casita, great restaurant, great food and friendly staff. Does get busy so best to book in advance. Also, the Beach Club restaurant does lovely food, we recommend the sharing board, excellent. Already looking forward to our next visit to Carbis Bay. Fabulous place, fabulous apartment and wonderful weather too. Couldn’t wish for more.

Lovely spacious apartment, so well equipped. Loved sitting on the terrace watching the world go by. Enjoyed the Ghost walk in St Ives with Shanty Baba and a boat trip out to ‘Seal Island’ Tasty tapas and friendly atmosphere at La Casita and good value food at The Firehouse in St Ives. Sad to leave.

This was the eighth time we have stayed in Carbis Bay and booked though Carbis Bay Holidays, so we knew that our accommodation would be excellent, but we were taken back when we walked into ‘Sapphire’. The view over the bay is beautiful and the apartment itself is so well equipped and spacious. Loved the outside space too and the walk though the garden seemed much easier than the dreaded hill! As always, the train service to/from St Ives was excellent, and we enjoyed the coastal path walk there on day. The beach is as safe as a beach can be for the kids and Alfie had a great time joining the activities with the Ocean Sports centre kids club, only £12.50 for 1-1/2 hours including equipment hire. The instructors are all brilliant with the children. We saw dolphins and seals in the bay one evening and enjoyed a day out at Kynance Cove which is simply breath-taking. Already look forward to out next visit.

We have had an amazing week at Sapphire. Loved the location, made the holiday very easy with daily trips to the beach to body board. Walked into St Ives several times and caught the train back, quite an easy walk for older kids (8 & 11). Highly recommend the restaurant on the beach for cocktails and snacks, also Porthminster Kitchen is fabulous, Fire house and Porthminster beach café all great, they all have kids’ menus too. Book your meals, it gets very busy! We visited St Michaels Mount which is worth a visit but get there early 9.30AM to avoid the ques, otherwise it’s a nightmare. Also, the Minack Theatre is amazing and a must see. We saw dolphins during out stay and even kayaked with a shark. We will be back again soon, thank you.

Absolutely fabulous. We stayed in another of the Carbis Beach apartments and its wasn’t a patch on this one, that property was with a different holiday company. This is amazing, couldn’t want for better than Carbis Bay Holidays. We are floored with how clean the apartment is and the welcome back was a very welcomed treat after such a long journey down to Cornwall. We will be back, thank you. So comfy could stay forever.

We had a fabulous time at the Sapphire apartment. It was very modern and spacious and has everything you need and more. Carbis Bay is a great location to explore Cornwall. We partially enjoyed Porthleven, Kynance Cove and Mousehole. We hope to be back one day.

Back here again. Fantastic as usual. Could never tire of this view. I had a fabulous time on the November 5th beach firework display at St Ives. Enjoyed walking the coastal path to St Ives, only took about half an hour each way. Its been very mild weather for November, didn’t even need a coat one day. Love this apartment.

We have had the most wonderful week enjoying the beautiful views, walks along the coastal path, swimming in the pool at the hotel and sampling the local fare. We had an amazing cream tea at 0lives in St Ives, where they had fabulous home-made scones. The flat is fabulous so well equipped and beautifully decorated. We've been coming to Carbis Bay for many years, but this was our first time at Sapphire.

We were not disappointed with our stay! The apartment catered for our every need. The views are fantastic and we've really enjoyed our time here. Most days we walked into St Ives along the coastal path and wondered around the many shops there, also indulging in the delicious cream teas! Thank you for such a wonderful holiday! :) NB The best cream tea was at "Olives" in St Ives - Blueberry Scones.

I laughed when I saw someone had driven all the way from The Midlands - we drove from Edinburgh for this view!

- 14 hours! The view was so worth this drive. When we arrived, we couldn't do much but sit on the sun deck - by then in twilight - and look at the view. Whilst we slotted in a few trips to some local attractions, the best part by far was coming back to this view. We sat most evenings, aiming to read or chat but succeeded at little more than seal spotting. Having gone through all the pros and cons of the apartments we looked at online, Sapphire was by a Cornish mile. We will definitely look into booking again for next year (if not sooner). If Carbis Bay is the best beach in Cornwall, then Sapphire has the best view!

First stay at Sapphire, however have stayed in the complex back in 2011 and have been back every year either Carbis Bay or St Ives.

Definitely an unrivalled breathtaking view which we never get tired off. Stunning apartment, well stocked with all essentials, everything has been thought of. Loved the terrace and sitting watching the changing sea, sky and beauty. This week we have seen 2 weddings, King Charles visit, eaten at Carbis Bay Hotel. Highly recommend the Ugly Butterfly. After an exhausting week in London, we came here to relax and couldn't have found a better location, the view as fantastic!

We planned to see more of Cornwall (Truro & Tintagel etc) but as the weather was good, we really relaxed and had a splendid time at the beach! We even went into the water without a wetsuit!

We've had a great time.

Fabulous view - so great to come back to after a day out. Great bath - filled so quickly - lots of hot water. Beds so comfy - fabulous pillows/duvets/quilts. Stayed many times with Carbis Bay Holidays, Cornwall has been a family favourite for decades. Had a very special holiday!

Had a really lovely week staying in Sapphire for the first time.

Drove 400 miles and the apartment and view is well worth it. Had fantastic weather all week, sunny every day with beautiful sunsets and sunrises (these are especially worth getting up early for!). We took a couple of boat trips from St Ives - would recommend the Nemo glass bottomed boat to Seal Island and Blue charter yellow fin fishing trip. We also thoroughly enjoyed trips to Lands End, Eden Projects and Godrevy Nature Reserve. We went down to the beach nearly every day and even gave paddle boarding a go which was very reasonably priced at £10 an hour. We've had such a relaxing holiday here, and already looking at booking again next year!

Lovely, restful week!

We have had great weather and enjoyed being able to hear the sea to send us to sleep at night. Little train to St Ives - super useful. Lovely meal at The Firehouse in St Ives and also at La Casita just up the hill!

This is one of the best holiday homes EVER!

The view of the sea is fabulous. There is so many things to do here. Everything about this flat is nice and cosy. We went to the Eden Project, St Michaels Mount, The Minack Theatre and The Tate Gallery. The beach is amazing! We had a great time and hope to come back soon.
