“Our family of six adults had a great family holiday at Trengoff during October half term.”

The house is spacious and comfortable and was exceptionally clean. The facilities were as described and the location is excellent for a bracing walk down to the beautiful beach (and a great workout back up again!). Carbis Bay provides an excellent base for visiting the many beautiful places on the south and west Cornish coast and we would highly recommend this property.

“Overall a lovely house, very spacious and with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.”

We only used one bedroom out of the four on offer, but it was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Parking was also convenient with a good sized space behind the house. Fantastic location close to the beautiful beach and opposite a shop and a great Spanish restaurant (dog friendly). One thing could be improved upon - the rear gate from the car space to the garden is quite difficult to open. Apart from that no complaints at all. We would happily return.

“Wanted to say many thanks to you regarding the accommodation at Trengoff , Carbis bay .”

Us as a family had a fantastic time, it was our 1st visit to Cornwall. 1st of all the location was amazing . Just a few minutes walk to carbis bay beach which is an amazing beach and bay . Also you can Jump on the bus ( just outside ) or the train and head to St. Ives .. saves parking etc.. The house was fantastic, clean , tidy , the beds was super comfortable. And the house had everything in it like home from home . 2 space parking out the rear . So nice and safe for kids to get out the car. The fast WiFi was great , especially for all the kids Lovely rear garden to sit and relax and have a BBQ and few drinks . So definitely would recommend this place . Overall fantastic location and accommodation and a really beautiful part of the world to visit. Thanks again and will definitely visit again.

“Having enjoyed many stays in your properties over the years, this one was a disappointment.”

Arrival was not a good experience. A gate with rotting wood which was difficult to open and close.. Rats running around in the outside space. A very tired looking kitchen with unusable equipment. A snug lounge with damp walls. Main lounge was comfortable as was the bedroom we used. No extractor fan in en suite shower room. Main bathroom bath scratched and stained. Front door and entrance needs a bit of tlc. Hot water to kitchen was a bit erratic. A disgusting bbq. You fixed dribbling tap within couple of hours of us contacting you. Rat traps were laid during our stay so was not inclined to let dog out or use that space during our stay. Property is not semi-detached as advertised, it’s mid-terrace. As frequent visitors to Carbis Bay we knew the locations of semi-detached properties on St Ives Road. This turned out to be not one of them. If you provide an email address I can send you photos.

Unfortunately, with older houses like Trengoff they can experience damp from time to time, which we are monitoring. We can confirm we are in the processes of scheduling in a repair to the back gate, with regards to the sighting of rodents we can confirm we have taken the necessary actions and have had a local pest control company attend who are monitoring the situation and can confirm there has been no more sightings. “A lovely holiday home which proved to be very comfortable for our stay.”

Conservatory area leading out from the kitchen was a tranquil spot to enjoy watching the sun rise in the morning. Only downside was a very loosely fitted toilet seat in the ensuite, which needs to be fixed and the cleanliness around the base of the door to the ensuite could have been cleaner as appeared quite dirty. Also, instructions regarding which colour bin to put all waste in at the end of the stay were not clear. Recycling of plastics and paper could be made better as appeared that everything except glass was all put in to one bin. There are some beautiful scenic walks within easy distance from the property taking in the glorious surrounds of Carbis Bay, Hayle, Godrevy and St Ives. All in all a good base for a break in Cornwall.

“We had a lovely and comfortable stay at Trengoff house.”

It was a clean, spacious and well-equipped property (despite a few essentials including a rubber bath mat in the main bathroom and a washing rack). The board games, outdoor dining and play equipment and Alexa speakers were all nice touches that made the house feel homely and our stay more enjoyable. We felt that the waste and recycling instructions were ambiguous, but instructions for appliances and for checking in and out were clear.

“We had the best holiday in the most beautiful house!”

It was so clean and well equipped we will defiantly return. The beach is a short walk away along with the coastal path into St Ives which was a beautiful walk. We arrived on a Saturday and walked down to the beach club for dinner which over looked the stunning Carbis Bay. The food was lovely and the setting was perfect! Such a great location there is a local shop just opposite for milk ect and The Gannet pub just a 5 minute walk up the road we went to The Gannet for a Sunday roast which I would 100% recommend also a nice place to walk to just for a drink. You would have easily fit 2 families in the house it’s such a good size with 2 bathrooms and loads of towels! Thanks for a lovely stay we will be back!

“We have just returned from an brilliant week away in Cornwall.”

We stayed in the most fantastic house which was perfect for our family. The house was beautifully furnished with incredibly spacious rooms. The house had everything we needed and more. My children loved reading the books and playing games every morning, which were all already in the snug. The beds were very comfy which was great after long sunny days at the beach, which is only a few minutes walk away. The courtyard garden was perfect for evening drinks while the kids played with their many shells they had collected. We will definitely be back next year that's for sure.

“This cottage is stunning.”

So much room. It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. A lovely welcome gift left for our arrival, lots of detail thought of. It’s a fabulous size house and will comfortably sleep at least 8 people. All the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. So much so we have purchased the same quilt and pillows as we had such a good nights sleep. From Soak and Sleep! There are two lounges which is perfect when you have kids- especially teenagers who want to play the Wii or watch Netflix! Loads of games in the one lounge which we all enjoyed playing and the Wii was an added bonus! Huge dining table perfect for a large group. Well equipped kitchen, everything looked new and was very clean. Very good quality equipment and appliances. Overall the house was of a very high standard and felt very homely. Highly recommend La Casita which is opposite. Stunning food, wonderful staff. There is a chip shop 5 minutes walk away and a pharmacy and a cost cutter directly opposite. The beach, Carbis Bay, is a 10-15 minute walk away. Coming back up is very steep! The beach is beautiful and has cafes and toilets. The train station to St Ives is half way down the hill to the beach and only takes 5 minutes to get to St Ives. Well worth it- don’t bother driving it!! You can walk to St Ives which would take only about 40 minutes. The location is perfect for visiting the area and we had lots of days out. 2 car parking at rear which was perfect. We were very sad to leave, wonderful cottage, fantastic location. Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful stay! Hopefully we will be back next year!!

“This is a lovely big family house.”

Plenty of room with a well equipped kitchen. It’s in a great location with just a walk along the coast or the train to St Ives. It is located on the St Michael’s Way which is a short pilgrimage from Lelant to St Michael’s Mount. There are shops across the road and a Tapas restaurant that delivers. All in all, it’s a great place to stay and I didn’t want to leave!

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine?
