The location is just perfect, the actual apartment would be perfect if there were some small improvements like the laminate floor in the bedroom fitting correctly, the tiles in the kitchen were clean.

Not sure who stayed in apartment before the 5th September but there was dirty washing left in the laundry basket in the bathroom!!! Would I stay again, absolutely!!

We stayed here for a week as a group of 4 adults and a child, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing holiday properties we’ve stayed in.

The location and harbour views are lovely, but sadly they don’t make up for the condition of the apartment. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. We found stained mattress and pillow protectors beneath the bed linen, extensive mould around the shower, filthy toilet brushes, a broken extractor fan thick with dust, dirt and large clumps of dust under the beds, and a kitchen and bathroom that simply did not feel hygienic. Since returning home, I’ve also found reviews on other booking sites describing many of the same issues, which is incredibly disappointing and suggests these problems have been raised before without being properly addressed. The apartment is also very tired and in need of maintenance. Broken flooring, damaged cupboards, doors that don’t shut properly, a tiny fridge for 5 guests, faulty appliances, and an incredibly noisy washing machine all added to the frustration. The walls are also extremely thin, so noise from neighbouring apartments carries straight through. We paid £1,780 for the week and expected a clean, well-maintained holiday apartment. Instead, we spent much of our holiday feeling uncomfortable about the condition of the property, particularly with a young child staying with us. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I genuinely don’t want other families to book this apartment expecting the standard portrayed in the advert. Until the cleanliness and maintenance issues are properly addressed, I cannot recommend staying here.

I agree with earlier comments that the entrance is very dreary and dirty, lowering expectations the moment you arrive\. The flat itself is definitely not my idea of luxury, with the previously mentioned dehumidifiers everywhere, poor\-quality flooring and an awful coil spring mattress in the small bedroom\. The kitchen/living room seems to be filled with second\-hand furniture, including a shabby dining table and sofa, along with a random assortment of plates and cutlery\. In addition, the taps in the main bathroom need attention, as they dripped and occasionally started squealing loudly on their own\. None of the doors or windows fit properly, and some of the doors do not latch at all\. On windy nights, we had to wedge them shut with clothing or leave them wide open to prevent them from rattling and banging in the wind\. I assume this was originally one flat that was divided into two, with a large section of the main bedroom now forming part of the flat next door\. The neighbouring flat’s washing machine was clearly very close to our bed, as a late\-night wash caused the bed to shake during the spin cycle\. The Wi\-Fi was not fit for purpose\. Mobile coverage around St Ives is very patchy, so the flat’s awful Wi\-Fi made planning day trips difficult\. The location is excellent: it is convenient for several beaches and plenty of restaurants, although live music was played outside until 11:30 p\.m\. Overall, this is an acceptable holiday cottage in a great location, but it is priced and described as luxury accommodation when seemingly very little effort has been made to meet that standard\. We would not stay here again\.
