Has to be the best property we have encountered in St Ives with top quality throughout and a great tie in with Harbour Hotel next door with food discounts

Really lovely, well maintained, apartment.

The view from the balcony was close to perfection. This will definitely be on the list to check availability when I next come to St Ives.

The Boats - St Ives - fantastic accommodation - very clean, warm (needed this week!

) with modern appliances, beautiful views and a parking space which is handy in St Ives. Would definitely recommend and book again.

Location and facilities were fabulous.

Issue with blocked sink in en-suite and bath in bathroom were resolved the same day. Overall very happy with apartment however it is beginning to look tired in places - this maybe due to the end of season however for price point I’d expect it to be maintained throughout the year. - Carpets in both bedrooms are stained - voile curtains have black mould at bottom - en-suite- wooden bath panel has water damage - when lying in bath in en-suite black mould can be seen under shelf lip. Also some mould around shower door. - bathroom - grout missing from floor tiles. - Cushions in living room are lightly stained. - dining table has bits under the glass which need professional cleaning. - wooden paintwork into lounge is chipped - Reported missing padlock at car park space It would be helpful having a full length mirror in the entrance hallway near door.

The internal area of the apartment was clean and tidy.

Carpets a tad tired but ok. The balcony needed a really good clean. It had cobwebs, a dirty deck and needed a good decorate. There is bamboo growing at the side of the apartment and had already spread to right next to the building. This is a serious issue as it will affect the foundations. A horrid job to rectify especially where it is as it needs a digger in to get rid of all shoots! Unless rectified there will be serious problems with the foundations. Good luck resolving it. Great view and location.

The apartment was lovely, and the views spectacular, we had a lovely time.

Just a couple of "niggles" but nothing much - the outdoor balcony could do with a good clean and paint, a tv in the master bedroom would be nice and at least some basic toiletries on arrival, we didn't even have any soap in the master bedroom. There was no lock on the parking space as described. Carbis Bay holidays were very difficult to contact both before and during the holiday - they only reply to texts and not very timely.

Lovely property in a brilliant location with a superb sea and beach view.

A reserved parking spot yards away is hugely valued. The hotel food discount is a great bonus. A thinner summer duvet would be nice and a second oven glove to make a pair to get things out of the microwave.

We really liked the apartment, it's a great location with a beautiful view of the sea.

The apartment is quite spacious, well furnished, cozy bedrooms and everything you need in the kitchen. We had a wonderful vacation and thank you very much for the comfortable location by the sea.

We enjoyed another lovely stay at The Boats.

The apartment has fantastic views with easy access into st Ives and having a parking place is a real bonus. Unfortunately, the fridge is not cold enough and over the week we had several items of food that was spoiled. We did point this out when we stayed in September 2024, however, it still has not been fixed. We would love to stay in the apartment again later in the year but would like reassurance that this issue will be resolved before booking.

This is a lovely apartment, perfect view and location.

Well equipped and laid out. I wouldn't have the dark wallpaper in the longe though, as it makes the room dull. I thought the cleanliness was OK, until I had a bath. Then I noticed that it was dirty around the tap and base of the shower screen. The beds were both soft, but surprisingly comfortable even though we both need firm mattress for our backs. All in all we loved the apartment and wound definitely return again.

The apartment was in an ideal location for us, travelling by train.

We caught the T2 bus directly to East Pool Mine and the 17 bus directly to Trengwainton Garden right outside the apartment block. We also found it an easy walk into St Ives. The view from the apartment balcony was stunning and the perfect spot to sit having a cup of tea or coffee. We were very comfortable, had everything we needed and had a lovely holiday at The Boats.

Beautiful apartment with fantastic views.

Easy walk into St Ives from the property and having somewhere to park our car was a bonus. Whilst most of the kitchen was well equipped, there was an odd selection of non matching drinking glasses and the fridge, even on the highest setting, never felt cool enough. Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing stay and would highly recommend.

Brilliant location especially as we planned lots of day trips using the train.

Lovely views and apartment. Enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony in the sun. Great facilities and first time I’ve seen sky tv included in a rental apartment. Would have been 5 stars throughout but the kitchen and living room needed a bit TLC cleanliness wise. We ended cleaning the surfaces and the floor which was quite dirty. Would definitely stay again.

The holiday was very good.

However my experience has been extremely tarnished by the entirely unacceptable customer service. I left the accommodation and later realised I had left a drawer uncleared with some expensive clothing and other items in it. I have called you and sent 3 separate messages through the portal the first of which went on 31.07.2024. Each time I received an automated response telling me it would be dealt with within 24 hours. Now 11 days later I have not had a single response. I do not know whether the clothing has ever been found and could be sent to me(you clearly state for a fee if £30 this is possible) or whether it has been taken - I simply have not heard anything at all. I have booked 3 holidays with Sykes and I will after this never do so again.

We absolutely loved the Boats, the location is perfect and the apartment itself is wonderful.

We did leave a note for housekeeping, as there was an awful lingering smell from the fridge when we arrived, which we discovered emanated from a bottle of milk that had been left and which had curdled. There was also a bag of frozen chips in the freezer, which could have been useful perhaps, but we never cook whilst away, as we make good use of the abundance of restaurants nearby. The batteries on the remote for the bedroom tv need replacing, as do the back-up batteries on the smoke/ heat alarms in the second bedroom and kitchen area (the red warning lights were flashing every few minutes). We did have a problem in the car park, as the car in the adjacent space was a large Range Rover. Fortunately we had travelled in my wife’s small car so with a bit of effort we managed to squeeze in. If I had brought my own car, we would not have been able to park due to the stone pillar at the one corner of the space limiting access. Perhaps prospective holidaymakers could be advised of the limited space available, and recommend, if they have the option, to do as we did and travel in a reasonably sized car. We would also have found it helpful to have two door keys (two are described in the welcome pack, but only one was provided). None of this was a major concern to us though, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Appartement was very beautiful and comfortable for two adult couples with two bathrooms and lots of space and the view to Porthminster Beach.

Only pots and pans for example, used by other guests, haven’t been cleaned very well sometimes

Excellent location, fantastic view, very spacious and comfortable apartment.

Washing machine door not fitting well.

Some of the light switch caps were not secure and kept falling off. ( lounge and master bedroom ) Only small things, but could end up being a problem. Certainly didn’t spoil our holiday in this beautiful apartment We have holidayed at the Peninsula apartments for over 10 years. Hayley and her housekeeping team always keep the apartments spotless. A big shout out to them. Hope to get back very soon.

We love this apartment and have stayed a few times before .

It’s hard to beat the lovely location and views. However usually when we arrive we get lovely welcome pack with local apple juice a cream tea etc but we didn’t get one this time which was disappointing because we always looked forward to it after a long journey .Also there was no tea or coffee provided this year so we couldn’t even make ourselves a drink when we got there . Also there was no soap in the bathrooms . Have you stopped leaving welcome packs and tea and coffee etc now ?

Lovely location but the apartment should not be listed as ‘luxury’.

It is jaded in parts and needing modernisation. For example - bathrooms are looking old with grout and shower door seals unclean, kitchen appliances not great, these are cheap enough to replace, and walls had poor touch up marks everywhere. Outside table was smeared and would not want to eat on it without a thorough clean. Bin in kitchen is horrible, nobody wants to touch a bin. Blinds were very dusty. Perhaps consider the cleaning contract. Would come back if apartment had an overhaul.

Flat was a bit cold when we first arrived and took a couple of days to warm up.

Seemed like the boiler was turned down as water was just about hot enough- not something we had experienced when we have visited at this time of year previously. Increasing the temperature on the hall thermostat made no noticeable difference.

Another wonderful stay at this brilliant place .We have stayed here many times and it is always a good holiday always clean and well looked after.Many thanks hope to revisit again soon.

I would advise future renters not to make the mistake I made by booking 2 consecutive weeks.

We vacated the property to allow a full clean for the second week including emptying all the waste bins as requested. On our return the bed linens had been replaced plus bathroom towels but no sign of any hoovering, NO toilet rolls, NO soap or shampoo, NO dishwashing tablets. NO washing up liquid

We had a lovely stay in St Ives at The Boats.

The location of the apartment is perfect. It has a fantastic balcony, great for sitting out with your morning coffee. The apartment was extremely clean and all of the furnishings were excellent quality. The use of the next door’s hotel’s facilities is also an added bonus. I would not hesitate in recommending The Boats.
