Just returned from a week staying at The View, perfect location and accommodation, fantastic base for us to do lots of coastal walking, parking not perfect but definitely a bonus, everything in the apartment was perfect, clean and comfortable, well maintained and equipped with everything you needed, patio was fabulous with that view, easy access to town, beach and buses, highly recommend and will be back soon J&K

Delighted with the accommodation handy for the beach access into town and the railway station.

We are walkers and the accommodation is handy for the coastal path. One big bonus was the free Spa pass to the Harbour Hotel which is just up the road. Our only criticism is the parking for the car which wasn’t ideal

Third time at the property and won’t be the last.

The View is a beautifully furnished and equipped apartment with a very spacious living and dining area.

The view out to sea is lovely and the very large terrace was ideal for us and our dog. The position for the town centre and Porthminster beach was terrific both being only a few minutes walk from the door. The only minor downsides are that the road is busy with traffic and the occupants of the flat above were quite noisy sounding like a herd of wildebeest at times! That said these issues were compensated for by the location and convenience.

This was the third time we have stayed at The View.

It is a fabulous place to stay, lovely accommodation with fantastic views across the bay from the balcony. Added bonus that we can use the Spa facilities just across the road at the harbour hotel. Perfect location just above the beach and next to the bus stop and train station, perfect for bus or train walks along the coast path. We have had a great week and look forward to returning again.

We absolutely love The View, it is the perfect apartment, in the perfect location and the perfect destination for us.

We return as often as possible and can’t wait to be come back every time. It is always incredibly well kept and we notice the improvements each time we come. The new blinds are brilliant and it opens up the sea views even better. For anyone thinking of going, then deffo do, you won’t be disappointed.

The View & St Ives is our happy place.

This is our 5th visit and we just love it. Even though it rained every day for 2 weeks, we still loved it. The location is perfect, you can easily walk to the beach & pretty shops & streets of St Ives, but you are just enough away for the peacefulness too. The apartment is incredibly comfortable, so well laid out and equipped, it has everything you can think of. The large outside balcony/ patio is great. Our fur baby loves to watch the world go by and even had a bus driver that enjoyed waving at him. Thank you for upgrading the internet too, it was spot on. I easily was able to work and my new office had the best view too. Can’t wait to be back in February xx

Amongst the very best accommodation.

All you could want or need. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and a pleasure to come back to. Parking space is big asset even if a bit of a climb up the hill. Only used the car once so not an issue. Lovely holiday thanks to you

An amazing apartment with beautiful views.

All the appliances are high quality and there is everything you need and more. The bed is soooooo comfortable. The owner is very accommodating and even let us check in early! I'm only giving 4 stars as the parking was a massive issue for us. The parking space is a five minute walk away, which is fine. However, nowhere does it state on the initial details that its up a steep hill. My husband really struggled with this due to his conditions. I really feel it should be made clearer as anyone with walking difficulties or breathing conditions may find this an issue. Otherwise, it's a perfect place to stay with fabulous views and great location to explore. I'd highly recommend but be aware of the parking.

This is the second time we have stayed in The View.

The accommodation was perfect and very comfortable with lovely sea views. The use of the Harbour View spa was fantastic especially after long, challenging bike rides and coastal walks. We will definitely return.

Close enough to get into town, great views, access to the beach. Had some heavy footers upstairs but only to be expected in an apartment. Would stay again ! Thank you

Superb stay at The View.

Perfect location opposite Portminster beach with an easy stroll to St Ives town centre and harbour. The apartment was spotless, extremely comfortable, very well equipped and definitely surpassed our expectations. Thank you for contributing to a wonderful week in Cornwall.

We absolutely love The View, it has everything you could ever wish for, to enable you to have a wonderful holiday.

The location is perfect, you can easily walk to the beach, town or train station in minutes, which is something that we love the most. The apartment is incredibly comfortable and the patio area is great, especially for our fur baby. The internet is also much better (thank you) so I can easily work from here when I have too. We’ve already booked for next year and we can’t wait x

We absolutely loved our stay at The View in August.

A fabulous apartment with a short stroll to St. Ives Town Centre ... and even shorter to Porthminster Beach, which allowed our little dog to have fun before 10am and after 6pm, which suited us fine. Lovely touches at the apartment which were a big plus for us - the Bose speaker in the lounge, gorgeous Ritual reed sticks which smelled divine on entering the apartment, Tassimo coffee machine and really useful little baskets dotted in the bedroom and hallway for shoes and bits and bobs. Balcony furniture very comfy and the whole apartment was so well equipped we only ate out twice. We did go to the Harbour hotel to take advantage of the Pizza offer but were told not doing it that day. We still had lunch there and the food was lovely and we got our 20% off with the spa fob. Public transport was fabulous and surprisingly cheap, lots of regularly run buses to various places and the Open Top Lands End Coaster was a great trip. We also travelled to different places by train and it was all very easy on the Trainline app. A huge plus was the lockable parking space - although not directly by the apartment it was only up the road so no big issue for us.

Great accommodation only dissapointments were bathroom sink blocked and no freebies , not even a pint of milk !

The apartment was well furnished and well equipped with top quality items and brands.

The bed was comfy with a topper but we noted that only one pillow each side had a protector and there was no mattress protector over the topper. Lovely large towels with an extra bath towel each. No bathrobes which were in a photograph of the property we recall. Unfortunately the double reclining sofa ceased operation in the reclined position necessitating a call to the maintenance line. During the call we mentioned that the Tassemo coffee machine wouldn’t work as it needed descaling (we ascertained this from the instruction book but didn’t want to do this ourselves). Fab large terrace with ample patio furniture but unfortunately it didn’t look like the terrace had been cleaned. The property is set on a busy road with buses, coaches etc accelerating to get up the hill. Not overly peaceful to sit out during the day really. The view is a little limited by the trees/shrubs opposite. The owner has thought of everything with sun loungers provided but the terrace doesn’t get the sun in the afternoon which was probably when we would have used them. When we were sat early morning on the terrace a resident in the apartment above must have washed their terrace as water poured down just behind my wife. Another resident from above was witnessed shaking sand from their beach bag over the terrace - not great. The apartment is very well situated with a 10 minute walk into town. Less able should note that this is up a prolonged incline back. As keen gym goers access to the gym and swimming pool/hot tub really was a bonus. Overall a lovely stay in a great property with just a few niggles.

This was our second visit to The View.

We had loved it last year. This year was disappointing. The cleaning was not the same standard as last year. The freezer had something spilled on the door and food was left inside. The work surfaces and table looked greasy. One of the reclining chairs didn’t work. There were no robes this year and the welcome pack was not as good. The balcony was quite dirty and the cushions had to be cleaned of bird droppings before use. The upstairs apartment was noisy and kept waking us up in the night. We ended up leaving on Friday as we had had enough. Overall we were very disappointed and haven’t booked again.

The apartment was extremely clean, it has absolutely everything you need and is in a great location. Just a very short walk into St Ives. Can’t fault anything at all. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Lovely apartment and spotlessly clean.

the only thing I would have liked is a little hand rail for getting in and out the shower with it being over the bath, I had to hold on to the radiator but that’s an age thing I’m 70. It was great to be able to use the spa in the hotel over the road because we had a couple of rainy days . Would definitely go back but not sure whether I could do all the steps in St Ives again but it is a beautiful place to see.

Absolutely lovely apartment.

Everything you could posdibly need and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and spacious. The beach directly opposite is beautiful and, of course, the view from the apartment is perfect. A short walk into St Ives which is well worth it. We will definitely be back!

This is our 2nd visit to this lovely apartment and we absolutely love it.

We always used to stay in carbis bay but we love being in St Ives and like that you are a little bit out of the town so it’s not to busy. The short walk to the town and the beach is perfect and parking is a real bonus in St Ives. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need, the bed is super comfy and I love the big bath. The terrace is also great, our little fur baby loves to sit on the terrace and watch the world go by, as do we. My only little niggle (and it’s minor) is the internet, it’s very slow and a bit hit and miss. I’m self employed, so sadly have to still work when I’m on holiday and it proves a little challenging. Plus we couldn’t always watch our Netflix too. We’d love to come for a month in the low season but I don’t think I would manage internet wise. So we’ve booked for 2 weeks in November to see how I get on and then hopefully we can come for a month next year. It’s a real home from home and certainly our happy place. X

We found it frustrating as we couldn’t find the property as it wasn’t clearly posted on the building when we arrived, also the toilet was not cleaned properly when we arrived.

Overall despite the things mentioned the apartment was everything we expected and more , the weather was kind to us despite going in the middle of November and would recommend this property any day of the week . Great view of the beach and plenty of public transport ready available … fantastic ..

Everything you could wish for . Finished to high specification , absolutely spotless , beautifully furnished . Stunning view and superb location . A home from home . We adore St Ives . Wonderful people . Excellent restaurants and wonderful welcome at the Sloop Inn . Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special . Would return in a heartbeat ! 12 hours from Edinburgh wish we were closer !

Uphill distance to parking disappointing.

Part of the route was unpavemented along a through road. Discount at Harbour hotel a bonus.

Excellent property that was spotless on arrival.

A few small gifts left for guests along with milk and artisan dog biscuits. Perfect location just far enough away from the busy streets. Car park is just a short walk away uphill but plenty of room with a lockable post. Everything you will ever need in the well equipped kitchen. Can’t wait to go back.

An absolutely perfect property.

Stunning accommodation, great views and perfect location.

We had 5 beautiful days the weather was lovely we decided to come home on Thursday as the weather changed.

And also did not want to get caught in traffic coming home on the Friday with the coronation. We arrived home safely Thursday evening. We have booked already for next year. The place is amazing so lovely clean tidy comfortable bed beautiful bathroom & a lovely kitchen lounge and a lovely balcony thanks again And are little dog loves the place. ❤️ Petrina Micheal

We have just returned from a perfect stay at ‘The View’ and we had the best week.

We normally always stay in carbis bay and get the branch line into St Ives, so this is the first time we stayed in St Ives. The location is just perfect, you are a short walk away from the town, which means it’s not as busy near the holiday apartment as the main town but you still only have the same short walk, like you would if you took the train. The apartment was beautiful and so comfortable. Everything was provided that you could think of needing and the bed was super comfy. We have already booked for next year and can’t wait to come back.

First class accommodation.

Very tasteful decor and furnishings. Great patio area. Nothing lacking at all and a great deal of thought as to certain welcoming treats. A short easy walk to the town centre and beaches. We would stay again.

Lovely apartment and well situated for town and beach.

The terrace is spacious with a view of the sea, although probably not the most private of spaces, as can be viewed from what is quite a busy road. The spa passes were a bonus. Overall, we had a very pleasant week in a comfortable and well equipped space.

My husband would have appreciated another toilet roll as we had to go and buy some more.

The flat is very comfortable and well equipped but the directions to find it need to be updated!

The large parking area before the flats are best indicator as Harbour Hotel has been renamed! It does feel uncomfortable even to park to unload due to the £100 parking fine notices. The parking space for flat was welcome but it is NOT 5 mins away and it is a steep climb. The flat is on outskirts of St Ives and the climb from town to flat is significant. The Terrace is lovely but there is a busy road outside the flat and from the photo I expected the beach to be closer. The St Ives Hotel said that there is no spa though this was mentioned in information in flat!

We're just come back from St ives, having stayed at the view chy an Porth flat 8.

Can't fault anything, apartment was superb everything you could ask for and more(even was given a easter chocolate ,and there was a bag of dog treats too)we would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a perfect stay at St ives. Central for eveything, beaches , train station, views overlooking the sea and central for walking into St ives.booking and everything so easy , definitely got what was shown on sykes cottages .would always choose here when we visit St ives . Thank you for a perfect break we both definitely needed. Weather was lovely too. Definitely a amazing gem to find.

We had a great holiday at The View.

Very comfortable apartment, particularly the lounge chair and sofa. The apartment was very clean and well equipped.The parking space was very helpful, we only used the car once, because the apartment is close to the train station we visited Penzance and Hayle by train. We will definitely book The View again, and will recommend to friends and family.

We have stayed at the View before and it’s a superb apartment.

We have looked to book next year but the huge price increase will mean we won’t be booking. We are now thinking ( sad to say), we won’t be visiting St Ives ( we have stayed in St ives for the last 10 years)! The price of accommodation is now far too high .

Slow draining wash basin in bathroom got worse over the week bathroom had 2 ceiling down lights with only 1 working these should be attended to before next guests arrival they are both obvious to the housekeeping but ignored we reported before we left in the hope it would be sorted for the next guests.

We have stayed in this apartment a number of times love the position but unfortunately the massive increase in the price for 2022 is something we do not feel is justified or good value.

Great accommodation catered for all our needs .

Ideally located great views from the balcony. One tip don't walk about living room naked . The level of the balcony and living quarters are at the same level of the open top double decker bus when passes by .

Apartment was nice, loved the recliners.

We had to purchase sink unblocker for the bath and basin in the bathroom. Hoover was blocked with pet hair. Previous guests took the St Ives Harbour spa passes home with them. It meant every time we went to the spa we had to explain this. Lots of noise from upstairs, sound proofing isn’t great.

Also, very minor need a squeegee for shower screen. Also, Hayley is a credit to Carbis Bay Holidays so helpful. Apartment was spotless + nicely decorated.
