Waters Edge

The actual property itself is lovely.

Clean, comfortable, spacious, great facilities, covered car parking space, great location and amazing view (though over the next few years the trees and bushes may begin to reduce the amount of the beach actually visible). The only slight issues we had: 1. The Xbox (which is also the DVD player) was broken, and the Sky TV package doesn’t include Movies, so if it’s a wet day you can’t watch a film or play a game. 2. The car park space is protected by a bollard. The instructions tell you how to unlock this, but it was broken. 3. There were no complimentary Spa passes as advertised.

Waters Edge is a superb apartment which I have no hesitation in recommending.

It is large, spacious, very clean, modern and well equipped. There is plenty of storage space in the kitchen and bedrooms. The bathrooms are both modern with great showers. It is ideally located, with lovely views of the sea and Porthminster beach. It is only a short walk into the centre of St Ives and has the benefit of an allocated parking space in the car park opposite. My only comment for improvement concerns the seating on the balcony. The cushions were unappealing as they needed a good clean or preferably replacing. One of the seat pads had clearly been recently visited by a seagull which had left its calling card! I would suggest buying a new set of cushions and keeping them in one of the cupboards in the hallway with instructions to guests to only take them outside when they want to use them and put them away in the cupboard when not in use. Apart from that I would class this as a 5 star property.

Water's edge was a beautiful modern appartment great for a small family or 2 couples.

The first thing you notice are the great views of the Beach and the ocean, and if you look close you can see seals swimming in the water. The location couldn't be better with a 5-10 minute walk into St. Ives and the available parking spot it couldn't have been better.

Really liked this property.

Perfect location for everything and very spacious and quiet. The little things like a welcome pressie and things such as beach wind break and hammer, surf board and beach ball do really make the difference. The parking space was great, little difficulty with the key code for the bollard as number given was slightly wrong, but no real problem and more room in the car park than we expected. Only possible thing to suggest, even though the building was very secure, maybe a room safe would be of benefit. We really enjoyed our stay and would 100% recomend.

Great location and views but quite minimalist inside.

Basic picture quality free view TV and only free to air sky channels on old box doesn't give much choice. Maintenance company need a better review of accommodation - couple of stains on carpet and bedding should be addressed, bath/shower in main bathroom very slow to drain and dishwasher very dirty around the seals. Bed mattresses not to our liking and very firm so minimal sleep across our stay which was disappointing.

Spacious apartment with amazing views from the bedroom and living room.

There is everything you need and more for a great stay. It was easy to find and access property. Car parking was a bit tight with a larger car, we were lucky there was not a car in the space next to us to get out. Although, I Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The property was immaculate and has convenient parking space.

Lovely view of the sea from the bedroom and the lounge which is the reason I booked the apartment. It's well situated with easy walking distance to the town, Tate Gallery and the train station. I will definitely be booking again and recommend to my friends. Thank you.

This is a beautiful property, we loved staying there.

It was fitted to a very high standard and had everything we required. It has a lovely view and was only a few minutes from the beach and the centre of St Ives.

A lovely, comfortable apartment with a wonderful sea view.

Check in was very straight forward and the convenience of the parking space was great. The passes to use the Harbour Hotel's Spa were appreciated on a rainy afternoon! A convenient location for the beach, restaurants, shops and galleries. A super holiday!

Excellent property with views over Porthminster Beach

Very nice apartment within easy reach of the town centre, which was about 10 minutes walk (quite hilly) and great facilities throughout.

View across the bay is really nice, with the outside space being reasonably private as well. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside was the parking we had some issues due to either being blocked in or blocked out of space - sorted quickly all but one time.

A lovely property, which we would recommend.

There were some little housekeeping niggles - in the kitchen there was a virtually empty bottle of washing up liquid and a hand soap with a broken dispenser. We also noticed that the extractor fan in the bathroom of the double bedroom didn't seem to work - and the light bulb over the bath went on and off periodically.

Toilets were dirty. Welcome pack very strange, milk, chocolate buttons, apple juice, few coffee and tea bags. Balcony furniture past it’s sell by date, mentioned this last time we stayed. Sand under rugs in living room. Parking space constantly blocked.

We all very much enjoyed our incredibly comfortable stay at this well equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated apartment.

The views were amazing, every need was taken care of and the location is superb. We’re hoping to come back at some point next year if it’s available. Thank you!

Our only comment is that the garden furniture on the external terrace was very uncomfortable to say the least.

Comfortable reclining chairs would be worth adding. The bench seat with thin cushions is well past it’s best. Given the outstanding views and good weather we spent a lot of time on the terrace. Otherwise great holiday accommodation and will visit again. Ivon & Angie Blumer.

Lovely apartment very well equipped and very clean would recommend

We had a fabulous stay and the apartment was lovely - very spacious and well-equipped, with lovely views.

My only criticism is that the bed was hard and unforgiving.

Waters edge is a beautiful apartment set to a very high spec with stunning views Every where was very clean except we were very disappointed to find a used greasy baking tray left in the oven.

The only little downside was that the sofa’s were a little uncomfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and wouldn’t hesitate in going again

Apartment was lovely but several things need attention in particular the towels were not clean one was unusable.

When stripping bed mattress protector could do with washing. Cutlery holder in drawer had hairs in and had to be washed. Several plates were chipped and need replacing. Sofa was uncomfortable and to low for older guests.

Lovely apartment with everything you could need for a comfortable holiday.

We have stayed in Peninsula apartments before but this was the first time in this apartment. Great for walking into the town & always good to have parking space. We had a lovely relaxing week.

The common areas in the property were not cleaned while we were there.

We appreciate this is not in your control but did detract from the pleasure of entering the building. We were unable to operate the switches over the bathroom doors without having to stand on a chair - not so easy for 80 year olds! We have booked for next year!

Lovey apartment with an array of facilities.

Beautiful views from the balcony and private. Great location , central. Perfect distance to the beach. The only troublesome part was the car parking and although we had an allocated space people kept parking inappropriately in front of it and we had to continue to ask the hotel for help. The hotel staff were great but it did sometimes make you not want to “dare” to move the car and go out! Other than that it was a really wonderful place to stay and I’m sure we will be back!! It was a pleasure to stay in the apartment and we enjoyed our time there in such a gorgeous location. Thank you to all who work hard to make this apartment available for holiday makers!

A well-equipped apartment with beautiful views

"We had a brilliant holiday at Waters Edge. The apartment had beautiful views from the large balcony. Inside was clean and well equipped. The en-suite bathroom was huge as were the rooms. The children enjoyed the Xbox and the huge range of games provided. It is very close to a beautiful beach; it was nice to wake to the sound of the waves. Pleasant apartment in lovely location.

"Waters Edge is lovely apartment, clean, spacious and modern. It is well equipped, has 2 nice bathrooms with good showers over the baths. The apartment is stylish with internal decoration to a high standard and has a welcoming feel to it. Waters Edge has a good view of Porthminster Beach, but as the balcony is North facing it doesn’t get direct sunlight, only at sunrise which is great to wake up to. The balcony is looking a little tired and unloved... New patio furniture and a deck clean would make all the difference. Peninsula apartments are in an unrivalled position overlooking Porthminster Beach and are convenient for all amenities in St Ives. They also offer the great advantage of access to the Harbour Hotel Spa for the duration of your stay. I highly recommend Peninsula Apartments and will definitely return. "<br/>Steve & Sandi Fletcher
