The property

St Piran sits within a short walk of Carbis Bay Beach. This beautiful mid-terrace cottage offers three bedrooms for six guests, just over a mile from St Ives, and makes the perfect haven for families and friends seeking a coastal and country escape. From the chic entrance hallway, the interior is well-styled throughout. The sitting room boasts a comfortable nook for relaxing, with shuttered windows framing a distant sea view. The elegant dining room is superb for feasts and gatherings, a place to celebrate with good food, reminisce over the day’s adventures, or to plan your next outing. The kitchen is fitted with all the appliances, modern green units and lots of workspace to rustle up a hearty Cornish breakfast. The ground floor bathroom is ideal for de-sanding, with a bath and shower over. From the kitchen, the little sunspot courtyard at the rear has a patio with a bijou table and chairs for morning coffees and evening tipples. From the white-painted stairs, choose from the three minimalist monochrome bedrooms with white window shutters, high ceilings, black beams and a coastal vibe feature wall. There are two super-king-size rooms and a twin room, to suit both adults and children. There are good storage facilities and a sea vista to Godrevy Lighthouse. The separate shower room is very smart with a cubicle, WC and basin. Carbis Bay Beach is within a short downhill stroll, boasting golden sands and Blue Flag status. Enjoy shoreline strolls, safe swims and water sports activities. Ramble the coast path around the bay, nature watching as you go. On the doorstep, you’ll find restaurants and eateries. La Casita and The Gannet are within a short walk, and the supermarket is close by for provisions. Take your pick from four breathtaking beaches in picturesque St Ives, for surfing or bodyboarding lessons, picnics and sandcastles. Pretty Harbour Beach is dotted with little boats, where you can hop aboard for a fishing trip or leisure excursion. The charismatic cobbled lanes have an abundance of boutiques, gift shops and galleries to browse. Restaurants and traditional inns offer locally caught seafood and international cuisine. Home to The Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, there is something for everyone. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching.
