The designer of the winning Christmas card will receive art supplies worth £50, a set of Christmas cards featuring their design, and £200 for their school or setting’s art department.
This year, in celebration of the RNLI’s 200th anniversary, we would like to invite you to get involved and design something festive with a ‘safety at sea’ twist!
Getting involved is simple and the guidelines are as follows:
Please send your completed entry forms to: victoria.rogers@sykescottages.co.uk.
Please ensure that all entries are emailed to us by the 25th October 2024 at the latest, in time for judging. The winner will be chosen and notified in early November.
In celebration of their 200th anniversary, we would love it if you could think about the RNLI as a theme, and create a card design that not only depicts Christmas and the local area, but also celebrates their tireless work, keeping people safe on our beautiful coastline.
Why not draw your local lifeboat with twinkling lights and a Christmas tree in the background? Or perhaps show RNLI volunteers in festive hats singing carols… be as creative as you wish!
Please keep your original creation safe – if you win, we may need the original artwork to produce our Christmas cards.
We plan to feature the winner’s name, age, and school on the Christmas card. We’ll also announce the winner on social media and in the press. It’s vital to have consent from the parents or guardians of every child participating. In cases where consent isn’t given, please make a note on the entry form if the child has written their name.
