Lovely and clean with everything you could possibly need. A stones throw from Carbis Bay beach which is just stunning. Amazing views and just a few minutes walk from the train station to St Ives. This was our second stay here and we absolutely love it. We will be back again no doubt. Sad to be home!

John Richard “We had a Great Holiday!”
Please could you enter in the information file, How to open the Beach gate that goes down to the road and beach. Luckily we were behind a fellow guest who showed us how to open the gate, it was easy, place the fob into a square metal box. He said he had a problem also. We checked again to see if we had missed it in the information file, but no info. there. Also the number info about putting your key back into the key lock by the front door when departing, after going through the electronic gates, it said to put in a completed different number which we tried and didn’t open the lock box, so we put in the number that we had when arriving and it was fine. This will help future guests if the information file was updated. Once again Thank You for a Wonderful time in your apartment.

All week we were plagued by an intermittent beeping from a neighbouring apartment. Although I appreciate the resolution may have been out of your control neither time did anyone call back to report what the management company were doing. And we had no courtesy calls. This noise was disrupting, especially at night when no other sounds blocked it out. In fact it would appear the MC did nothing. A guy testing the fire alarm on Friday ended up calling Carbis Bay Holidays who manage the property. They came out Friday lunchtime but only closed the kitchen window that had been open wide since we’d arrived. The beeping continued and was still going when we left Saturday morning. The drains need a clean as are most unpleasant when the washing machine is on. Otherwise apartment was very clean, comfy and welcoming. Everything

The Little touches such as blankets for sitting outdoors which came in very handy as we sat out on a lovely evening watching the Perseid Meteor shower. Games and books in case the weather wasn't great and all the cooking utensils and gadgets you need in a good kitchen. Thank you for the lovely welcome package of tea, chocolate, biscuits and the soap and moisturiser etc it was very much appreciated. We absolutely loved our stay here at Lapis, enjoyed the lovely artwork on the walls but most of all soaking up a view we could never tire of and the proximity to the beach was great. Very sad to leave. We will definitely be back!

The view, short distance to the beach, rug space for the babies to play, the comfy beds, the little extras made it such a wonderful holiday. The only improvements would be warmer duvets in the twin room and blankets in the living room/to be used whilst sitting outside. Everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for having us!

Kitchen and living room perfect. Duvets of Tog 4.5 for April not warm enough in the twin bedrooms and no throws available. Master bedroom was good - tog 10.5. The water temperature in both the showers was too cool . The water from the hot tap in the bathrooms was good but that temperature could not be reached in the shower. It would have been nice to have a throw or blanket in the lounge area. The pedestrian gate is far too heavy on the hinge. My elderly mother can make it up the hill but not hold the gate open and I imagine it is useless if using a pushchair. I am not complaining about the property- I would love to stay again. I am making the owners and letting agents aware of its jiggles and shortcomings

Rosamond “Lovely apartment, very comfortable and everything we needed for our holiday.”
It was great to have the table and chairs on the outside deck area and even in the first week of October the weather was good and we were able to sit outside to enjoy the fabulous view plus watch the seals in the bay. A couple of small things we’d like to mention - the hot water is very hot especially in the shower so maybe the temperature could be turned down a little to avoid someone being scolded. Also when we arrived the decorative edge under the shower door in the main shower room was lying flat on the floor, my husband managed to push it back into the correct position but feel this should be mentioned so it can be resolved. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Lapis and would recommend this property to our family and friends.

Hilary “This is our third (I think!”
) stay using your company but unfortunately our worst. The apartment was not up to standard cleanliness wise and some of the fixtures and fittings were shody at best. The large sofa in the lounge had stains on, the coffee machine still had coffee and a filter in it, the ensuite bathrooms bath plug didn't work clearly showing the bath hadn't been cleaned, the toilet roll holder and the toothbrush holder were hanging off the wall, the double sinks were grubby and the bath panel was dirty along the top. Such a shame as the views are insane but it really put a dampner on our stay.

We were very fortunate to enjoy perfect weather throughout our entire stay this year so also made good use of the outside decked area. Special thanks to the cleaning team who ensured that the apartment was immaculately prepared for us. This year was our tenth year of visiting Carbis Bay and of booking through Carbis Bay holidays and we are already looking at availability for next year, we would recommend Lapis as a perfect base for your holiday. The train station is 5 minutes walk and a 4 minute journey into St Ives, also enjoying stunning views along the way or there's the coastal path to follow if you like a lovely walk, and if relaxing on the beach is your thing Carbis beach is perfect for paddling, swimming or paddle boarding, rarely seeing any large waves. If you've never been before you should seriously consider it!

The view of Carbis Bay with the sea being a focal point is beautiful. The outside decking is very spacious. Access is also good especially with me suffering with multiple sclerosis and after parking the car in the allotted space, is metres to the lift taking you down to literally the front door of the apartment. Highly recommend Lapis and also Carbis Hotel’s restaurants especially the beach club,

Beautiful location and fantastic views. The walk in shower controls were broken but the property manager had already been notified and was booking a plumber. Instructions in the folder would have been helpful to access the beach gate. We only found the fob at the end of the holiday. My fault as I hadn't seen it on the dark worktop. I had to email twice for Instructions as I didn't know it was a separate fob. A spare was posted by the property manager on the Monday. So happily resolved.

Brilliant property. Our family loved our stay there. Well looked after and we would thoroughly recommend it for other families with direct access to the beach. Only recommendation is to advertise that the grass outside is not allowed to be played on. The picture suggests otherwise. Our little ones were disappointed. And it would be better to provide more plates and glasses otherwise the disk washer needs to be put on multiple times per day. Not efficient use. Small points but they would not stop us from staying again. Thank you.

Your apartment is big and fab with great views - on your request we stripped the beds on departure to find the quilt on one single bed stained - bit of a bittersweet moment for us after a great week - on a lighter note the gate @ the bottom of the garden had me puzzled I went down twice but couldn't open the gate but watched other holiday makers use it - bit of a puzzle that - also no padded bag to drop the key back thro letterbox improvised with a unused dish cloth

Review “"Having seen the photos of the apartment online with a lounge, dining area, full kitchen, two bedrooms and a sea view, it was just what we were looking for.”
The apartment was exactly as described, super clean, warm and comfortable. There is a path that leads down to the coast road where you can walk the coastal path to St Ives in approx. 20 mins. Carbis Bay is a really lovely area but a 20 min. drive to Penzance and you can explore more coastal paths on that side. Fantastic place, just what we wanted, very pleased and would book again."

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead.
