“The apartment was very clean and very nicely decorated.”

The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome biscuits and juice etc were appreciated. The family bathroom was very nice and a good size. We had a very enjoyable stay. I was disappointment by the lack of storage- there wasn’t enough draw space for a family of 4 for a week. We just about managed in the children’s twin bedded room, but my husband ended up putting folded clothes under the bed. The bed was a double, not king which is unusual and we didn’t sleep brilliantly. There’s several sets of doors (2 of which are coded) to get through, this made unpacking the car quite a task! It’s a beautiful apartment, but didn’t quite work for a family of 4.

“Loved staying at White Sails!”

A lovely touch to have fresh milk already waiting for you in the fridge with a lovely Cornish baked cookie. Cannot fault White Sails. Only gave a 9/10 because the road at times was a little noisy, but nothing to disturb. Will definitely stay again! The view was amazing.

“Very happy with the appartment position and standard of the equipment but have a few minor suggestions for improvement.”

Instructions file should have essential info listed briefly at front and be regularly updated; thick file difficult to use, eg could not locate spare bulbs initially.. The toaster is difficult to set resulting in us setting off smoke alarm. it is overdue for replacement. Need more coat hooks near entrance door. The milk pan base is too small is at risk of toppling over on the hob. Heated towel rails were on too long especially during hot weather resulting in wasted energy. Flickering daylight bulb above TV needs replacing with warm white and bedside lamps should be fitted with dimmable LED bulbs.

“Beautiful and very well equipped property.”

There was everything we needed for a great and comfortable stay and all fixtures and fitting were very high quality. The views are amazing and we were even lucky enough to see a family of seagulls caring for their young on a nearby rooftop. A very minor improvement would be a fan as it was very warm in the bedrooms and the window openings are restricted. Otherwise it was perfect.

“We had a lovely stay at White Sails.”

It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had everything you would need in the kitchen and spare cupboard. The view from the window was stunning and the garden area in front was immaculate. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the train station where you could catch a train to the numerous shops and restaurants in St Ives. During the day there was a lovely walk into st ives which took less than half an hour along the coastal path. Carbis Bay is ideal for a quieter holiday but still close to everything. Good to have a safe parking space too.

“We had a superb stay at the fabulous White Sails and enjoyed to the best.”

This is our second time in Sands and by far White Sailes is the best apartment gifted with beautiful views from the living room and the bed rooms. The apartment was well equipped and really surprised to see all the beach equipments in the cupboard too. It's a great benefit that you gave secured parking as it's very tricky to find parking down at the beach area and if you are precious about your vehicle this is one of the places to stay. We have already booked White Sales for 2023 !!!!.

The apartment was spotless & supplied with more than we could need. Beautiful bathrooms, comfy beds, perfectly clean & lots of added extras which just made our stay even better - the cupboard with a windbreak, beach chairs etc is a really great touch! Location of property is great to explore local area on foot or by train if you want to leave car behind. The only thing that could improve the stay would be a 2nd set of door keys, when there are 4 adults staying not everyone wants to be together all the time.

We love the Pizza and Pasta Restaurant in St Ives and we had my 30th meal at the Carbis Bay hotel and the service was wonderful as was the food. Having Tesco up the road is also handy! Unfortunately we got hooked on the Nintendo Wii too so we had to buy one as soon as we got home! We never miss the seal sanctuary at Gweek and just along from St Ives and Carbis Bay at Godrevy we like to go and see the seals on the beach in the wild - it's amazing." P. Sheen

Living Area Lounge Area The large open plan living area has wonderful views across the bay towards St Ives but the owners have also provided for those who need access to more modern entertainments with a 32" LCD Freeview TV, DVD player, Xbox 360 with Kinect, complimentary wireless broadband, remote control mood lighting and a Bose Ipod dock. There are two comfortable colour co-ordinated sofas, one of which may be used as a sofa-bed for additional guests. On a summer evening it's difficult to beat a relaxing hour before dinner spent watching the ever changing colours of the sea and sky from the balcony whilst looking out across the bay with a chilled glass of wine as the day draws to a close. Dining Area The dining area of White Sails is part of the open plan living accommodation and is adjacent to the kitchen. A large glass dining table and 4 chairs are provided for guests, from here you can still enjoy the views across St Ives Bay and together with the fitted mood lighting, a relaxing ambience can be created. Carbis Bay and St Ives are widely renowned for their choice of fine dining and family restaurants, you will be tempted to try many of these but perhaps the dining room of White Sails will offer an alternative. Our Welcome Guide contains a number of recommendations for dining out or takeaway meals in the local area. Kitchen Kitchen The kitchen has contemporary high quality German kitchen units with soft close drawers and doors. Appliances are by NEFF and include multi purpose oven-grill, combined microwave and top oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, gas hob with wok ring, extractor hood, grey stone floor, concealed up-lighting and other wall lighting. The layout of the open plan living area makes it easy for chef to chat to guests whilst cooking and there are two white bar high chairs provided for those who like to "perch" nearer the action! Sleeping Bedroom One The White Sails master bedroom has stunning views of the bay through the floor-to-ceiling three sided glass bay window. Pull up the luxurious roman blinds and have a lie in watching the bay with your early morning cup of tea, or curl up in the white leather swivel chair for a some peace and quiet with a morning coffee and a good book. The master bedroom is equipped with a fitted wardrobe and contemporary oak bed and bedside units. A hairdryer can also be found. Bedroom Two with En-Suite The second bedroom of White Sails has a comfortable double bed, fitted wardrobe, bedside cabinets and a dressing table with mirror. This bedroom is also on the seaward side of the apartment with sea views. An LCD Freeview TV is provided for guests together with a hair dryer. It is the second bedroom of White Sails that enjoys the comforts of an en-suite, this is a beautifully sandstone tiled bathroom with contemporary fittings. Fresh white bed linen is provided in both bedrooms, along with a selection of towels for each guest. Bathrooms Family Bathroom White Sails has a very spacious family bathroom with wash basin, WC and a bath with overhead shower. The tiling is sandstone, the sanitary ware is white Italian style and the fittings are sleek chrome. There is also a large mirrored bathroom cabinet with shaving point. Ensuite The en-suite to the master bedroom has an Italian style wash basin, WC and shower enclosure with power shower. The room is tiled with sandstone ceramics and there is a superb feature wall. A selection of towels are provided for each guest. Outside Balcony White Sails enjoys magnificent views across St Ives Bay and there is a wonderful balcony to enjoy these to the full. There are two chairs provided so that you can just relax and wind down to the pace of Cornwall. Parking One allocated parking space is provided within the gated car park.

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.

Access to the apartment from the side of The Sands is with level access to the lift.
Access from the parking area at the rear is via a number of steps. Lift access should not be solely relied upon as if not operational due to maintenance / fault you will need to use the stairs.
