“Its a lovely cottage overall, great size for larger family groups and has very comfy beds however the road is quite noisy, if you are a light sleeper this might be an issue, it is also a shame if trying to enjoy the beautiful garden.”

It is a very old property, in need of some maintenance certainly externally so it if you are looking for sleek lines and perfection this is not the place for you but we did like the quirkiness of it. It also has some very low ceiling areas so not ideal if you are taller. Overall it was very well appointed and had everything we needed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cottage overall and appreciated its spacious layout, comfortable beds, character, and excellent facilities. As the property is a Grade II listed building, double glazing is not an option as any alterations must preserve its historic character. We appreciate your comments regarding the road noise; however, this is a feature of the property's location and not something the owner is able to change. The cottage's age and original features are part of its charm and character. We have shared your comments regarding the exterior with the owner and would also note that the lower ceiling heights in certain areas are highlighted within the property listing to help guests make an informed choice before booking. Thank you again for your balanced and helpful feedback. We're delighted that the cottage was well equipped and had everything you needed for your stay. Property Owner

About the location

ST IVES

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!

Note: this cottage has quirky features due to its age and so there are low beams in the living room and some doorways may be a little shorter than average, the stairs is also a little steeper than average and have ropes to hold on to rather than banisters.

Please Note: There is a 3 night minimum stay.
