    Property had all the mod cons, you need or want for nothing, including a hairdryer which wasn't listed on the property details. Note, the apartment is at the top of the building, up a few flights of stairs. The property is in the middle of St Ives, just a short, albeit a steep, walk down into the throng of wonderful shops, eateries and beaches, and the Tate is almost on the doorstep. We sampled delights at the harbour fish & chip restaurant, as well as a delicious meal at The Sea Food Cafe, and would highly recommend the fine dining experience at 27 The Terrace. If you don't get chance to have a cream tea in one of the many cafes, get a takeaway one and enjoy it overlooking the scenery from the balcony. Oh, don't forget to get your order of Cornish pasties and saffron cake to go home with from Warrens Bakery on Market Square..., ooh the aroma in the car home was heaven! We were notified of a minor detail a few days before we arrived that may have affected our stay, and which, whilst not able to remedied before we left, we were updated during our stay and recompensed as a result. Highly recommend your stay at Alfred Wallis.

'Alfred Wallis' at Tate Reach truly is one of those archetypal Cornish holiday homes offering all you could ever wish from a luxury, dog friendly self catering holiday in St Ives. This amazing penthouse apartment boasts exposed beams, gorgeous interiors and some of the most spectacular sea views across St Ives. A coastal retreat which certainly would have been inspirational for world famous artists such as Alfred Wallis. Highlights - 'Alfred Wallis' is a second floor apartment within the Barnoon area of St Ives, just above Downalong. - Children welcome. - One well behaved medium size dog welcome. Others considered by request. - Regret no smoking. - Stunning harbour and sea views from the open plan living area, kitchen and front balconies. Restricted sea views from both bedrooms. Parking - There is allocated parking for one car within a private car park approximately 7 minutes walk from 'Alfred Wallis'. Living Area 'Alfred Wallis' is located within the eaves of Tate Reach, yet still offers a bright and airy atmosphere. Exposed beams and reclaimed boat propellers certainly adds to the apartment's seaside ambience, along with the beautiful neutral interiors. The open plan living area is great for those who like to socialise, and with the amazing sea views via the two sets of double French doors and Velux window, we doubt you will want to leave. Within the living area you will find a corner sofa which comfortably seats four and a cream leather arm chair with matching footstool is perfectly positioned for taking in the views. The superb entertainment package includes a 26” LCD television with integral DVD and Sky including Movies and Sport, Playstation III with a selection of games and Blu-ray discs and complimentary Wi-Fi. Solid Oak floor throughout. Dining Area The dining area is perfectly positioned between the living area and kitchen. An oak dining table with four matching chairs is situated in front of the Velux windows, making the most of the fabulous views. Should you decide to dine out during your stay, a wonderful selection of restaurants are within just a three minute walk of the property. Why not enjoy a romantic meal at the Porthmeor Beach Café whilst watching the sunset? The café offers some great outdoor booths for alfresco romantic dining, but be sure to booking well in advance. Hallway Upon entering 'Alfred Wallis', you are greeted into a hallway where you will find a coat hanging area and mirror. Kitchen The kitchen at 'Alfred Wallis' forms part of the open plan living area and is lovely and spacious. Oak fitted units provide ample storage and plentiful preparation space can be found on the black granite effect work tops. Integral appliances comprise of a five burner gas hob with extractor above, oven/grill, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer. Brick style splash back tiles and plinth lighting add to the kitchens contemporary feel. A great selection of utensils including toaster and kettle can be found, along with crockery, glassware and cutlery. You will also find a utility cupboard where the iron, ironing board and clothes airer is stored. Sleeping Bedroom One with En-suite Both bedrooms are peacefully situated to the rear of the property and offer wet room en-suites. The master bedroom boasts a beautifully dressed king size bed with shabby chic bedside tables, matching reading lamps, chest of drawers, vanity mirror, chair, large mirror, clothes hanging area, hairdryer and a 22” LCD television. Although the room looks to the rear of Tate Reach, you can still see Porthminster beach from the window. Bedroom Two with En-suite Bedroom two is equally tranquil with shaker style twin beds, vintage style bedside table, reading lamp, chest of drawers, chair, vanity mirror, hanging area, 18” LCD television and a hairdryer. As with bedroom one, bedroom two provides blinds at the windows, but this room offers views across to Clodgy, taking in the Tate St Ives. Luxury white cotton bed linen is provided in both bedrooms with a selection of high quality towels for each guest. Bathrooms Bathroom One The en-suite wet room to the master bedroom is full tiled with Travertine ceramics and offers a rainfall shower, WC, freestanding wash basin with vanity mirror and shelf above, under floor heating and chrome heated towel rail. Bathroom Two The en-suite to bedroom two is also a wet room with rain fall shower, WC, freestanding wash basin with backlit mirror above, under floor heating, chrome heated towel rail for keeping your towels nice and toasty and is fully tiled in Travertine. A selection of high quality towels comprising of bath sheet and hand towel are provided per person. Complimentary White Company toiletries are also provided in each bathroom. Outside Bay Balconies Two bay style balconies can be accessed via two steps up from the living area and kitchen. 180 degree panoramic sea views take in pretty much the whole of St Ives, from Porthmeor to the Island, the harbour to Porthminster beach and then St Ives bay beyond. This truly is a very special view. Two chairs and a small table are provided, perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa or a sun downer glass of wine.

Building Works Notice
Construction of 3 dwellings (1 House and 2 Apartments) is underway on the land to the right of Tate Reach when facing the building at the communal front door. There is an alleyway between the property and the site in question. The construction should be completed in Spring 2024 and associated activity and noises may be experienced during this time.
