“The only criticism I have is that the second bedroom does not have a wardrobe and not enough drawer space either and the information booklet needs to be revised about when to put the bin out we read that it would be collection day on Saturday and it was in fact Friday so we missed it.”

Everything else was first class and we had a lovely stay

Dear Cheryl, thank you so much for taking the time to leave Feedback following your recent stay at Brynmaur and we are so pleased to hear you had a lovely stay. Thank you for your comments regarding the wardrobe and drawer space in the second bedroom, we have passed these on to the property owners for their attention. I have checked the bin collection details and I can confirm this is collected on a Saturday as stated in the property and not a Friday, the bins are emptied by a private waste disposal company and not the local council waste collection service which is on a Friday. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

The property

Brynmaur is a delightful bungalow resting in a residential part of Carbis Bay, close to the beach and the attractions of St Ives. Perfect for a family seeking a seaside break to Cornwall with their dog, Brynmaur provides much to look forward to and serves as a lovely base for exploring the West Coast of Cornwall. Venture into the entrance hall where you can leave your seaside equipment and access the sitting room. Boasting a light and airy feel due to the large windows, this is a lovely space to unwind at the end of the day, whether it be watching a family favourite film or thinking about the adventures to come. Two steps down leads to the attractive dining room, perfect for enjoying home-cooked meals prepared in the kitchen, appointed with all the necessities for a self-catered break – including a washing machine so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe! Step out onto the patio area where you can indulge in alfresco dining, with plenty of garden space for your four-legged friend to explore. Refresh with a shower or bath in the family bathroom, complete with a heated towel rail, basin and WC. Enjoy the choice of two attractive bedrooms, boasting fresh white bed linen and ample wardrobe space, choosing from a super-king-size with zip/link beds or the king-size. Carbis Bay Beach is a short walk away, listed as one of the world’s best by the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Organisation, the beach rarely has any surf so makes for an ideal spot for families with children. Those avid walkers can join the beautiful South West Coastal Path leading to the dog friendly Porthkidney Sands, or continue to the Cornish fishing village of St Ives, providing plenty of amenities. Dine at a superb restaurant, indulge in local art and culture at the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, or browse the cobbled streets with individual unique shops to explore. Take yourself further afield to Lands End, a must-visit location with its breath-taking cliffside Minack Theatre, where you can treat yourself to a night of open air performance, or if you love historical landmarks then St Michael’s Mount near Penzance should be on your to-do list, a historic castle, garden and island community which is accessible at a low tide. Whatever you choose to do, Brynmaur is the perfect sanctuary for relaxing each evening.
