“"We enjoyed our holiday and regarded the accommodation at Lighthouse View as being the best we have experienced.”
The location was ideal, Parking and driving has always been a problem in St.Ives, so Carbis Bay was more than ideal, with the 'one-stop' train journey into the town. The Carbis Bay Beach is beautiful, we used it several times, enjoying a late drink in the hotel on one occasion. The Tesco supermarket was handy, to stock up with basics, but we also ate out, and we visited 'Blas' in St Ives three times, the perfect antidote to chain burger eateries! Fish and Chips were also excellent at the Porthminster Cafe. We drove out to St Michaels Mount on the one rainy day during the holiday, Kynance Cove/The Lizard just a 40 minute drive away. Our son is keen on BMX biking, so we took him to Mount Hawke, whilst we had a coffee in St Agnes. We also visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and found some great art galleries in Penzance."
