    “The property mentioned car parking at the rear with limited access.”

    I measured my car and found it was fine to go into the area described however I expected enough room to facilitate a U turn as I’d checked on Google Earth. I did not expect to be confronted with 5 x wheelie bins, an industrial wheelie bin, old pallets, old garden furniture, discarded junk, tv, old smoothing iron, etc. It made turning impossible and reversing out was, to say the least, challenging. I resorted to on street parking where I could find a space. I’m afraid this impacted upon my ...

The property

Sitting in the heart of Carbis Bay is this contemporary, first-floor duplex apartment with sea views in Cornwall, Samphire. A great base for touring, the apartment welcomes a family of four to relax on the beach, discover Cornwall's beautiful sights and heritage, and find everything they need for a self-catering stay. The first floor hosts a light and airy, open-plan living space with a pristine kitchen equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, and a washer/dryer to freshen up sandy towels ready for tomorrow. Set the dining table for four ready to catch up with your loved ones over dinner, followed by a relaxing seat in the sitting area. The bay window frames lovely sea views all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse; simply enjoy the view or select a film on Netflix. When it's time to venture out, Carbis Bay has plenty of shops and eateries to choose from such as La Casita for Spanish delicacies, The Bean Inn for vegetarian and vegan dishes, and the Carbis Bay Hotel Beach Club Restaurant to dine right on the beach. Carbis Bay Beach is a popular spot for watersports, sunbathing in the golden sands, and is idyllically tucked into a cove for plenty of shelter. Head further along the coast to the Bohemian town of St Ives where the Barbara Hepworth Museum, Tate St Ives, and cobbled streets lined with independent shops are sure to please, whilst surfers and swimmers will love the town's sandy beaches, or perhaps you'd prefer a coastal trek along the cliffs? The port town of Hayle is also close by with plenty for the whole family to enjoy, including Paradise Park and JungleBarn Cornwall and Hayle's unspoilt sandy beach, or find more rock pools to explore and waves to surf at Upton Towans Beach. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine?
