“Disappointed at still having to wait until 5 o'clock to get in to the apartment.”
There wasn't a pass for the car park. The only contact number given is the main number but says it is only open until 5 o'clock and closed on Sundays which is not a lot of use when you can't get your key until 5 o'clock, luckily the housekeepers number was still in the book, but she told me they shouldn't take calls any more. Disappointed at still having to strip beds and bag up towels and bedding. This should not be necessary (hotels don't ask you to do this). Also checked the price for this apartment for next year and the price has been increased by £1,600 so won't be booking it again. As a long standing Carbis Bay Holidays customer, I am very disappointed with the way things seem to have changed since the takeover by Sykes.
Dear Christopher,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback.
We are sorry to hear that you feel the 5pm is unnecessary, this is constantly reviewed, but at the moment with the COVID_19 pandemic still very present we feel our housekeepers need the time to ensure the property is cleaned and sanitized thoroughly for the arriving guests and this allows us to carry out any maintenance we may need to do also.
Apologies that you couldn't contact us via telephone, as our local offices are open until 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and we are supported by our Customer Relations team out of office hours. Any issues are dealt with accordingly by us here in the local office whether you report to the CR Team or direct to us.
I can assure you although we are now part of the Sykes family, we are still the same team based in the local office in Carbis Bay, along with the same housekeepers.
Unfortunately, the pandemic has resulted in a few changes that have been put in place to keep our team, housekeepers and guests as safe as possible.
We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your stay in Cornwall.
Kind Regards,
Carbis Bay Holidays Property Owner
